This book was as if someone had taken a dream of mine and turned it into a book. I loved it! The characters and their relationships were likable and interesting and the setting was beautiful and made me very envious. After reading this I will defiantly looks into the authors other work and would love a sequel for this! Was a book lovers dream book!
Thanks to Netgalley for allowing me a ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
An absolute delight of a book. Almost like a fairy tale for adults. Two delightfully quirky characters, a highly unlikely scenario and the result is an enchanting romance. A must for book lovers.
What a beautiful story. I couldn’t put this book down. I loved hallie and was swept along with her story. I couldn’t put this book down. The only bad thing about this book was that it ended and I wasn’t ready for it to.

I have always loved books about books. They really are the book lovers version of a warm hug. The Little Bookshop of Love Stories is, absolutely, a warm hug. It is such a sweet little story, complete with book references and a myriad of quotes about how much reading can mean to people.
I really enjoyed watching Hallie grow and become more comfortable with herself throughout the book. She was always a "screwup", but owning her own bookshop brought out a confidence in her that was inspiring to see. I will say, I felt like Admans tried too hard at the beginning of the book to convey her "quirkiness". It almost felt like you were being beaten over the head with it. But, as the book progresses, Hallie's quirks become part of the story, rather than something you need to be reminded of at every turn.
Hallie's romance with Dimitri was so heartwarming and swoon-worthy. They both had an adorable awkwardness about them, which made it a fun romance to watch blossom. I loved that they were both so invested in the shop, and that Hallie was able to win him over to enjoying the hidden messages in the books in the shop.
Speaking of the books in the shop, I kept getting excited with Hallie! I could totally see myself as a bookshop owner who finds all of these fun inscriptions and wants to share them with the world. The concept of putting them on the internet and possibly reconnecting people made my stomach get fun little butterflies.
Also, the setting was so much fun for me. I love books set in Britain. It always makes me nostalgic for my trip to Britain that I took a few years ago, and makes me want to move there even more! I will say, some of the British slang went a little over my head, but it fit with the characters and their environment.
All in all, I think this is a great little love story for anyone who loves books about book people. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a light, feel-good contemporary romance!

I gave The Little Bookshop of Love Stories 4 STARS!
I would like to thank HQ digital for asking me to review this book and be apart of the blog tour. As soon as I saw the cover and swooned over it for perhaps a day or two every time I picked up my phone I just knew I had to read it.
Jaimie Admans has written a brilliant story that is perfect for book lovers everywhere. The Little Bookshop of Love Stories is one of my favourite books of all time, I loved reading it and already miss the characters.
Hallie is one of those characters that we can all relate to in one way or another and I fell in love with her. Nothing in her life seems to go right and after loosing her job again Hallie is at a lose of what to do. That is until she receives an email that changes her life. Hallie has won a bookshop! Hallie cannot believe her luck. Upon opening the bookshop she finds that it is in financial trouble and needs a miracle to make it work and Hallie wonders if she can be the one to turn it around. Upon meeting the lovely Dimitri things start to change for Hallie and she begins to think her luck might actually have changed for the better.
The Little Bookshop of Love Stories is one of those reads that the pages keep turning and I found myself completely drawn into the story. I felt like I become Hallie who was living my dream, running a bookshop. As a book lover this story is everything you could hope for in a love story centred around a bookshop, an amazing dream like setting, characters that capture your heart and a plot that has you feeling all the emotions with funny moments, romantic moments and some really funny moments too.
Jaimie Admans has created something special and will be treasured by all book lovers for ever.
A wonderful story for all bookworms this is a delicious read about a bookstore romance ,messages in the books.Perfrct reading for me kept a smile non my face as I turned the pages. A book I will be recommending very special story.#netgalley#hqdigital
I have really enjoyed the way this book is written.
I loved that includes parts of my childhood at school that were good bits (which is tough to do because I was bullied much like Hallie and Demetri) Funfax, point horror and Enid Blyton were the best parts of growing up. I couldn't help but smile to myself at the thought, when Demetri and Hallie were talking about it. I remember the school book sale like it was yesterday.
As well as this I have always wanted to own a bookshop so this book is so amazing for me. What a brilliant concept. And the ending, oh the ending...no spoilers but it was impeccable.
I absolutely LOVED this story! Jaimie Admans is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors and I really need to read her backlist books! She has a knack for creating male characters I would love to meet in person! Dimitri is such a great male lead and he is not your typical male character with all kinds of quirks (and of course those are part of what makes him irresistible!)
I also love Hallie. She is such a wonderful lead female and I really relate to some aspects of her personality! She is a character that is easy to connect with and at times I felt as though she was in my head and I was living the events of the story with her!!
This is my second book by Admans and I noticed a common theme between the two: female characters with no experience finding themselves in a mess and n a position to be their own hero and turn into strong business women! I’m here for that!!!! These stories literally make me feel like I can fix anything (and of course I am going to hope there is a hot British man there to aid me haha).
The writing flows so well and it is so easy to picture this story. And let me tell you, I want to LIVE this story! I can easily see myself reading this one again and again and look forward to picking it up again!!!
I absolutely loved The Little Bookshop of Love Stories by Jaime Admans. After being fired from yet another job, Hallie can't believe her luck when she finds out that she won her favorite bookshop, Once Upon a Page, in a raffle. The biggest of book lovers, she is determined to turn the old shop around and save it before it's too late. However, with the help of a frequent visitor Dimitri, she discovers that the shop holds some almost magical secrets of its own. When she finds some old books with love notes written inside of them, Hallie is determined to find the original owners and figure out their stories and whether true love really does exist. This book was funny and was just perfect for book lovers everywhere! I loved all the characters from Hallie and Dimitri to Heathcliff the goldfish. I thought the idea of finding love notes inside the books and trying to track the writers of them down was such a cool idea and I would definitely be curious to see just how many books I can find like that in real life. By the end, I was wishing that I could actually visit Once Upon a Page.Thank you to @netgalley and HQ Digital for the advanced copy! Go read this one!!! @sams_story_shelf
This was just the sweet and lovely story I needed today. Times are stressful, and Dimitri and Hallie were a great pair. I love the idea that books find you when you need them, and I love all things old books, especially handwritten notes. I really enjoyed this quick escape from reality.
Hallie is a klutz, and has been her whole life. She doesn't seem to be able to do anything right, and been fired from multiple jobs. It doesn't help that her mum keeps trying to fix her up with any male that is unattached, no matter how unsuitable. But her luck is about to change. The woman who loves to read has just won ownership of a bookstore in a lottery she entered. It's on a charming street in the Cotswolds, but it needs a lot of updating, and a nasty developer keeps trying to get her to sell it so he can build a spa for wealthy tourists. What are the chances that she could meet a man who loves books, is nearly as uncoordinated as she is, and gorgeous to boot? This was a really enjoyable read, especially if you're tired of the standard romances where women and men hate each other on sight and wind up married. I look forwarding to reading more by Welsh author Jaimie Admans in the future. Thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for this ARC.
I love books that take place in bookstores and this one was delightful. The main character, Hallie was so endearing that it made me want to really root for her throughout all the mishaps that kept occurring in her life. There were also quite a few funny moments. This book was cozy, endearing, and heartwarming.
Gosh, this book is just what everyone needs right now! For the lover of books, all things bookstores and nice healthy dollop of awkward romance, this book will be the salve to anyone's wounded soul. I only hope this kickstarts a series of other Little Bookshops!
Having previously read this author and enjoyed her writing style, I had to pick up this book.
Winning a bookshop is every book lovers dream, however this one came with financial difficulties. And a man who is there everyday but not employed, yet knows more about the bookshop than the owner.
At times I did find this story a little bit repetitive, especially in the first half. I found that a lot of things did repeat =, especially in the same chapter. After half way the story started to pick up and get moving.
There are some great characters in this book and also some great imagery that you can picture, the little village and shopping square among them. There are a lot of references to the film Anastasia, if you haven't seen it then you might not know exactly what is being mentioned in some parts.
An enjoyable read, I can see there being some sort of follow up. Lets see what happens next!
Jaimie Admans, The little bookshop of love stories completely stole my heart! I'm use to reading about men who are put together and perfect. They say all the right things at all the right moments, this stories Dimitri is the OPPOSITE but yet so sexy, kind and a true gentlemen. Reading about two imperfect people in their imperfect worlds coming together in such a quirky, sweet way was perfection. I also loved the bookstore and Hailie becoming the owner at just the right time in her life. What reader doesn't dream of this literal scenerio. This book completely refreshed me and pulled me out of my reading rut. Look forward to reading more from this author in the future. Thanks NetGalley and HQ Digital for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I have never read a book by Jaimie Admans before but I will definitely be reading more!
From the moment I started reading I was transported to the quirkie life of Hallie. Extra bonus points for the lead character sharing my niece’s unusual name.
Then introduce my happy place...an old fashioned book shop in a small Cotswold village.
I completely lost myself in the world of books, imagining that gorgeous smell of aged paper books that only true book lovers ‘get’. Add that romantic element of two of the most realistic leading characters and it’s a winning combination.
If you love books and you’re a sucker for a romance, you’ll love this book. I’ll certainly be recommending it to all of my friends.
Admans artfully crafts the best elements of story telling into this book. Characters, setting and a myriad of challenges all are woven together to make a genuinely enjoyable read. Well done! Looking forward to the next book.
What a fantastic read especially for those of us who believe in the magic of books and reading.
Whether you are a bookworm or not this is easily a pick me up, fun story with all the feels which won't disappoint you.
Lovely little romantic book based around the dedications found inside the second hand books in a bookshop. I did struggle with the first part of the book which I found overlong in setting the scene but eventually it seemed to find it's tempo. Despite this I found it a fun enjoyable read.
I love reading books by Jaimie Admans as she has a way of pulling you into the story and making you feel part of it. This book was one of my favourites yet, the story is set in a bookshop which is one of my favourite places and is brimming with lost love stories.
Hallie was a brilliant character, she was clumsy and lacked self belief but absolutely loves books and she quickly struck up a friendship with the handsome Dimitri.
A story about rediscovery, following your dreams and a reminder to make the most of every day as you never know what will happen. A beautiful story filled with romance and books that will sweep you along with it and make you hope there is a happy ending like in all good romance novels.
A book that will leave you smiling and with a nice warm fuzzy feeling.
