A challenge to see the Bible as a living text which is always open to interpretation. It is an empowering read

I wasn't sure what I expected from "Equality is Biblical", but I'm glad I read it.
I liked how the author questioned some of the most fundamental church doctrines about the place of women in the Christian church and I liked learning about the much bigger role women used to play in church and how Biblical passages can be read in a more egalitarian way.
Even as an atheist I can admit that the vision the author shared how religion should be was quite fascinating and much more likely to garner my support than the current state of Christian institutions.
