Oh man. So much happened in this volume, and I don’t know what I can really say without it being too spoiler-y. So I guess I’ll say: Yuno. Asta. Nero. Devil. Wizard King. Wow.
Haha, that is pretty fun because it really is just a bunch of character names. But what we learn in this one makes this story arc even more crazy and amazing. I’m actually really looking forward to watching this play out in the anime. I really need to get myself caught up. It’ll be pretty great.
We learn not only some about the more recent past involving the whole human/elf conflict, but we also learn more about the conflict between the world and the devil that was taken down by the boy who became the first Wizard King. So it was a volume of some pretty interesting revelations.
Actually because of being caught up on this series and having to wait between volumes, plus reading so many other books in between volumes, sometimes it is difficult for me to remember all of the smaller detail threads and plot strands for this series. But that just tells me that I need to sit down some weekend and just do a binge re-read of the entire series. Because that sounds fun too. Or, I need to buy the anime on Blu-Ray/DVD and re-watch it all. Either option is acceptable.
Thanks to Viz and NetGalley for the digital ARC.
The latest volume in the conflict between the resurrected Elves and the human wizard knights. This volume pushes the narrative to create a common enemy and resolve major plot concerns. You can feel the story moving towards its climax as this volume plays out with a surprising revelation. A lot of fun and highly recommended for your shonen readers.
