Wow! What a brilliant book; totally gripping! This is the second book of Emma Curtis' I have read, and I could not put it down; it kept me up late, absolutely hooked! Just when you think life will not get worse for the characters, the tension ramps up again.

Very cleverly written from multiple characters' points of views, which worked really well. I did not like the male character from the start, but I warmed to all three females and their vulnerability.

Definitely a book you will not be able to put down!

This is a psychological thriller which shows how a moment of stupidity can have far reaching consequences in the lives of others and just how far someone will go to protect themselves.

This is a story of lies, deception, ambition and ego.

I have had Emma Curtis’ previous books on my to be read pile but this is the first one I’ve read, and what a great read it was.

Jenny and Leo have a baby girl and so does Hannah, the events that follow defy belief and we follow their stories over the next 18 years.

I raced through this book and will definitely picking up the other books I have by Emma Curtis to read as soon as possible.

This book was easy to get into from the start, and kept me hooked throughout. I felt that the story was a little far fetched, but that aside, I really enjoyed it.
Due to the subject matter, the content is very emotive and thought provoking. The ending leaves the reader with plenty of food for thought.

This book was phenomenal! What a brilliant read!

Jenny has given birth to her beautiful daughter, but her husband Leo knows that she isn’t his… Leo relies on his wife though financially so he can write his book and he loves her so he can’t say anything, he is far from happy.

Meanwhile, Hannah is a young mother in less than perfect conditions with no family or support around her and has given birth as well but wakes up to a lifeless baby. Leo and Hannah happen to meet in odd circumstances and the decisions they make have long-lasting effect.

Sixteen years later and an article in the paper prompts someone to discover more with devastating consequences.

This is a great story of how two women’s lives are turned upside down one stormy night. There are twists and turns to this tense thriller as we see how things change over time and the lengths that people will go to to protect their secrets. There are times that it verges on becoming unrealistic but generally stays strong throughout. It is slightly too drawn out in places and you find yourself wanting to shout at the characters, but you will find yourself invested in the story throughout.

There are some very dark subjects covered and Leo’s character portrays very well how awful and despicable he is, a truly horrible coward. The other characters are flawed but, in some ways, relatable. The pace changes throughout the book to suit the subject and keeps you hooked all the way through.

Not quite a horror but a psychological thriller that will keep you up at night, highly recommended.

Keep Her Quiet is an interesting story, which really comes to life in the second part, 16 years after the disappearance. At first, I found difficult to believe that Leo could keep Zoe hidden for so long, but sadly real life has proved this is all to real. My main struggle was as to why Jenny would stay with him for all those years? He came across as selfish, almost child-like at times, with few redeeming features.

Generally a good read, I felt the first section dragged slightly, but overall a good story worth reading.

When he gets an excuse to leave the hospital he rushes off and his world literally collides with Hannahs with devastating consequences. Hannah convinces Leo to agree to a plan that will tear his life apart.
Sixteen years later and the decision comes back to haunt him.

An interesting story of betrayal and manipulation but eventually everybody has to face the consequences of their decisions.

I liked the whole idea behind this book but I felt it just dragged on a bit too much and I found myself skipping parts. I did persevere with it as I wanted to find out how it ended.

If you like tense storylines and find yourself wanting to scream at the characters throughout the book gogglebox style then this is a great book for you. I didn't want to put this book down, it's the kind of book you wish your train journey to work was just that little bit longer. The book is told from the point of view from different characters but it was very easy to realise who's point of view you were reading. I was hooked to this book.

Wow what a story !! Such a twisted tale of two women who both give birth and both lose their babies but in totally different ways.

Jenny and Leo have just had a baby girl. Jenny is over the moon but Leo is keeping a secret - he knows for certain this baby is not his.

Hannah has just arrived home with her newborn daughter. She has been disowned by her family and is having to adjust to be a mother all by herself.

One fateful night both Jenny and Hannah lose their baby girls but by a twist of fate Hannah meets Leo and together they come up with a plan that solves everything, or so they think.

Sixteen years on we meet Zoe who is struggling to fit in at school and has always felt different. She discovers a newspaper about Jenny and Leo’s missing daughter and suddenly she thinks she may be her. Could it be her ?

This is a great story of two women’s lives changed by one night. We see the impact that night has had on them and how their lives have changed as a consequence. A great twisty tale of what some people would do to protect the lives they have.

This is a book to choose to read if you like a tense thriller!

Both Hannah and Jenny were pregnant back in 1989, Hannah was young and alone whilst Jenny was married but the news of a baby hasn't exactly thrilled her husband Leo. There is an accident, one baby dies and another is destined to live a lie.

I'm not a huge fan of books where the suspension of belief required is high but despite this being close to the edge of what is realistic, I quickly got sucked into the complex and gripping storyline. I'm pleased to confirm that the story as told from the perspective of 2005 took a different path to that expected to bring this to a satisfying finale.

Keep Her Quiet is the second book I’ve read by Emma Curtis and again this was a good, gripping thriller.
Jenny and Leo have finally had the baby they’ve always wanted, Sophie will be cherished throughout ether life and Jenny is the happiest she has ever been. Hannah is seventeen years old and has just had her baby, Zoe, she is on her own, the father of the baby is nowhere to be seen and her parents have disowned her. When Leo meets Hannah unfortunately all of their lives will change for ever.
This was a good thriller, I liked how they each had their own voice and I also liked that the book was split into three parts so enabling to fast forward time well. This is a very dark thriller but was to a certain extent very believable. This book shows that liars always get found out and secrets will always be revealed at some point. I can’t wait for the next thriller from Emma Curtis.

This book was a real page turner, the author did a fantastic job creating the scenes and describing the characters.
I loved the alternating narrators of each chapter, it really added to the tension.
Hannah is not a very likeable character, but her vulnerability comes across so well. At 17 she has just given birth, and with no family involvement she is on her own, when she wakes to find her baby lifeless, she is grief-stricken. This sets the path forward for her.
Each character was well written, and it felt like I had a movie playing in my head as I read this book.
I flew through this book in two days, just desperate to see how it would all turn out 4/5

This was a very interesting book, i was gripped from start to finish it was a fast pace book great read couldn't sleep when i had finished it. Lots of twists i was kept on the edge of my seat, throughout

Jenny finally has the baby she has always wanted and is beyond happy. Meanwhile Hannah's new baby has tragically died and she's distraught. A chance encounter with Jenny's husband changes all their lives for good. However no secret stays hidden forever and sixteen years later their lives are set to become entangled once more but will the truth come out?

This is one dark and twisted story. Its really good though. The plot is steady until the end when it picks up dramatically. The ending is really good and finishes the story well. There are some good twists along the way. This does deal with dark themes and I found myself thinking 'what on earth?' More than once. Leo is awful, there is no redeeming qualities in him whatsoever. Zoe is more likeable a victim of her own circumstances. Hannah was a tricky one to like. I understood some of her actions but some were really bad. A brilliant thriller.

This was a fast-paced and very addictive read! I tried very hard to put it down but couldn't help myself and had to finish it in 1 sitting!

How will 1 stormy night change three peoples lives? Or I should rather say, 4 people. Its a story of what-ifs. What if Hannah had a family at home who supported her......what if Leo didn't leave his wife and newly born baby to go and inspect the damage done by the storm......what if Jenny didn't try and trick Leo. It's also a story about choices and how the wrong choices can have a snowball effect in ruining peoples lives.
2 babies are born 2 days apart......1 dies and 1 gets to live but not the life she was meant to have.

Wow, what a ride this book was! I barely took a breath the whole way through it was consistently thrilling, with a brilliant plot.
Jenny & Leo are just about to have their first child, but only one of them is happy about it,
Hannah has just given birth to her first child, although she is alone with no family or friends to help.
These two families become forever entwined one shocking night, leading to secrets and lies that last for years.
I dont want to give any of the plot away because I want the reader the experience the thrills firsthand,as they occur. And boy do they occur at every turn. It doesn't let up with the twists and turns and keeps you guessing until the end. I loved this book, I cannot recommend it enough. Rarely does a book hold my attention from start to finish, but this one did and I couldn't put it down. If you only buy one book this month, let it be this one, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

What an amazing book , full of suspense . Loved everything about it , it was well written and better than most other psychological thrillers around at the moment . I can’t understand why I’ve never read any of her books before . Definitely will be seeking her out now . Brilliant book
