I am about to have a baby so wanted to see what numerology was all about. I think this book would be useful if you believed in numerology but it was a bit out there for me.
This was a fun read with some great insight. I smiled throughout while I was reading and planning a name for my second son who will be here any day. While it didn't necessarily affect that names we've been discussing, it was definitely interesting to read about our own names and my eldest's name meaning. I've always loved astrology and numerology, and since my second son is a schedule c-section, it has come up in conversation more often than my first. This book had some great insight and lead to some fun conversations in our house.
My sister is into numerology so I decided to check this book out to learn more about it. I am not sure I believe in all of this. It seems like a lot of hocus pocus to me. The book has a lot of information and I think if you believe in this type of stuff then you'd find it to be helpful.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This book is a numerology book all about giving your baby the best start in life and using numerology to help you choose a name that will help depict a certain type of personality/future.
I don't think I really believe in numerology but I gave it a read and enjoyed the working out of the numbers part and reading what certain names mean etc.
Not a book I would buy but it kept me entertained.
Baby Name Numerology by Sonia Ducie is a great read for those expecting a baby and looking to narrow their baby name options. What is Numerology and its significance is explained well. Excellent, clear explanations of the different birth chart numbers, how to transcribe different names to the corresponding number and their meanings. Also has a list of 1000 most popular baby names for both girls and boys. Great way for parents to give their newborn an added advantage when life is full of uncertainties.
I requested this book out of curiosity. I've been TTC and I've already picked the names but I wanted to read what this book had to say about the names I've chosen because why not?. So it seems like I've chosen good names. But, when I read the description under my husband's names it doesn't match his personality at all, nor even his sister's name or some of my other friends names. So I'm not sure about it based on the non matches. The book itself is pretty cool and it has lots of informations on how this numerology thing works and then at end it has 500 names for girls and 500 names for boys which I think is pretty cool. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
I was so excited to read Baby Name Numerology by Sonia Ducie! We have been trying for a baby so I was very excited to receive a free ARC of this baby name book. I am also really interested in anything with the occult, so this was a really fun read for me. I love astrology, and I feel that numerology is something I didn’t really know much about but was happy to learn more about. I really enjoyed the interactive element of the book-- I found soul numbers for my name and birthdate, my fiance’s name and birthdate, and had fun playing around with which numbers our baby would be if we chose certain names. I could really relate with the spiritual meaning behind the numbers, and I thought the explanations were well thought out and easy to understand. There is a lot of great info presented in this book and everyone could learn a little something new about themselves by reading it! Overall, I think this is a really fun read for soon-to-be-parents.
