This is a great twisty and taut read that pulls you in from the first page, I loved it! Loved the cover art too, it helps make a novel!
I enjoyed Sisters. I was never sure who was telling the absolute truth, although “spoiler” - I did immediately jump to the mother poisoning Ellie as a child. I really like how the drama built, the relationship between everyone being fraught and waiting to see how it all played it.
Highly entertaining! Would be a great beach read.
Siblings aren’t necessarily close and for Abby and Ellie, their lives have revolved around treading lightly around the other. It’s clear both are unhappy with their sister – one has their mother’s undivided attention, the other has looks and brains (and money) to burn. But when Abby invites Ellie to stay at her Italian villa, it’s an opportunity to put their longstanding differences aside. Isn’t it? This story takes unexpected twists and turns but the sisters’ relationship remains at the heart of it. Plus there’s a surprising plot line that will have you doubting what you believe to be true. Highly recommended.
What a treat this book was! The pages literally kept turning themselves, I was so engrossed in this remarkable read. Michelle Frances never disappoints.
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. This cover really drew me in. I started looking at books by her and got a couple from the local library. Sad to say, I couldn't get into any of her books. I tried all of them and lost interest very quickly and stopped reading. I see others really enjoy her books, but sadly this is not an author for me.
I was eagerly waiting for this book to come out as I’ve loved Michelle Frances previous novels. This certainly did not disappoint and I read the whole book in one go. It’s fast paced, twisty and engaging which makes for the perfect psychological thriller. I’d definitely recommend it.

An outstanding read.
Abby and Ellie were never close as children. Now in their thirties, they each harbour deep-rooted resentment for the other - Abby for her sister's looks and her status as their mother's favourite. Ellie meanwhile is envious of Abby's perfect husband and picturesque home, a villa on the sun-soaked Italian island of Elba.
When Abby invites Ellie to stay, both sisters see the break as a chance to relax and put aside their differences. But with their mother Susanna there too, all the simmering tensions of the past quickly rise to the surface.
I loved both sisters characters.
Thanks to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for giving me an advance copy.
Sisters is a tension filled phycological thriller that pulls you in from the first page with it's twisted examination of what it means to be sisters and is bloody really thicker than water? An edge of your seat read that doesn't let up it's fast pace or it's shocks.
