Below are a few (somewhat) brief, $.02 opinions about books I've read or listened to recently but don't have time, inclination or opportunity to review in full. Their appearance in this recurring piece generally has little to nothing to do with merit. Many of these books I enjoyed as much or more than those that got the full court press. I hope you'll consider one or two for your own TBR stack if they strike your fancy whether they struck mine or not.

PUBLISHERS DOING NO FAVORS
Corvette Stingray, by Chevrolet
I requested a galley of this title from NetGalley early in the year, as soon as I saw it become available. I was pretty excited to take a look at an iconic automobile, but since the publication date wasn't until October (now pushed to January 2021), I wanted to wait until closer to publication date when folks could actually buy a copy. When I went to read it in August, the PDF (which I hate as a galley format to begin with) had expired. I contacted the publisher three times, writing to two different people, and never got any response. So while I'm not really publishing to the masses here at the old MAR, I have no chance to let anyone know whether this book is a beautiful thing worth their while.
A comprehensive look at the history of the corvette all the way up to the current model. Filled with detailed pictures for the corvette enthusiast. I enjoyed it!
This was a quick, brief and delightful read on the Corvette Stingray and my Dad owns a 2017 C7 Corvette Stringray that is black on tan. It is a beauty for sure, so I had to read this being a sometimes driver of this marvelous beast.
This book talks about some of the other beloved Stingray ray models but how modern versions are more streamlined and tripped out with technology but also pays homage to how to the Corvette is one of the great American muscle cars and always will be. I have always been a Chevy girl and hoping to have a coupe version of the Camaro someday.
A must read for any muscle car enthusiast.
Thanks to Netgalley, Chevrolet and Quarto Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Superbly illustrated with detailed text on the development of the newest generation of the Corvette. Any Corvette fan will appreciate this book. This latest generation of the Corvette is truly ground-breaking with a engine in the rear.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. The book does a good job of explaining the reasons why a mid engine corvette was the correct design. It also does a good introductory job of defining the development and advantages of the C8. What it fails to do is show the history from C1 to the C8 and tie all that together
