Beautifully-illustrated and chockful of interesting facts - definitely one we will be getting in hard copy and will be looking out for more in this series!
Love Love LOVE this book! It is so important to learn about the world around you, especially for our children, as a lot of endangered animals may not be around, when they are older, if we don’t work to save them now. It was great to be able to learn about endangered animals and talk to Ada about why it is important to protect them. This is a beautiful book and one every child should have.
This is a gorgeous little book and as well as being funny and charming, I hope it will also help raise awareness and start the conversation about conservation. All creatures great and small share our world and by learning about them we can understand them better and teach our kids to love them too, as they are each fascinating in their own way.
There are fun facts and lovely illustrations that kids just adore!! It will fast become a classroom favourite!!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
A beautiful book filled with facts about endangered animals and the places they live. Separated into different habitats, each double page spread shared facts in an easy to read font with child friendly language. Even as an adult I was able to learn something new...about well known animals such as lions and lesser known such as the lesser bushbaby.
Each page was beautifully illustrated with bright, labelled pictures and there was a challenge for readers on each page to find out more about the animals or habitat they had read about.
This is a book I would be happy to add to my classroom to support our science topic around animals and their habitats.
I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
“50 Reasons To Love Endangered Animals” by Catherine Barr is a hugely relevant children’s non-fiction piece that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I found that the writing style and language was very accessible for our younger readers making complicated topics easier to understand and giving our youth a foundation of knowledge with regards to our environment and ways in which they can make a difference. I believe this book is a conversation starter between those who read it and their families and friends and that conversation is an incredibly important one to have. I believe this book to be a vital resource for younger children, I imagine wines mostly at primary school age children however it can be enjoyed by all.
The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, some of the loveliest animal images I’ve come across in children’s literature which really does help to engage even younger children to the information in the book.
Overall, I recommend this book to anybody with children. I would go as far as to say it is essential reading for our children and a fantastic way to start some complicated conversations with them.
We really loved this Endangered animals book. 50 facts about animals that I'm sure most people don't already know, we certainly didn't know them all. The book is filled with colourful pictures. We liked the easy to read font too. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book.
This is a great book. It’s full of relevant information and inspiration for our younger population to make them aware of the damage and destruction that has happened to the gains of our world. It will help make them more aware of the damage humans have inflicted and the steps that are being taken and need to be taken in the future to prevent further species from becoming endangers and to prevent any more animals from becoming extinct. The detail was wonderful and the language was clear and very easy for young readers to understand.
A brilliant book, best suited for younger readers, takes you around the world meeting familiar animals and perhaps some new ones. With fun facts and “show you love” buttons throughout giving ways to learn more about each animal and ways to make small changes to protect the world. This is a lovely book to share.
Colourful illustrations bring the animals to life and will prompt many questions from little learners. Perfect for animal lovers and mini eco-warriors, this book will get your family thinking about what you can do to save the wildlife and planet- from conscious choices about product purchases and sharing the love of new animals with friends.
I would front face this one in a KS1 classroom to be read and enjoyed regularly.
Being an animal, I was instantly eager to read the book at first sight. I enjoyed the vibrant illustrations and the fun facts on these endangered animals. A great animal book to aware the world of the species in endangerment.
I think the idea behind this book is brilliant and there are some amazing facts within the pages but it felt a but lacking compared to some of the other books from this publisher. The illustrations weren't really to my taste and the facts seemed a little all over the place
