Resisting siobhan by Patricia Rosemoor
Siobhan’s family have added an ancestral curse involving the person that causes their death. Siobhan breaks off her relationship with Clay for that reason.
There is a lot going on in the story with mystery ,intrigue and some of it you just don’t see coming.
This is part of the McKenna Curse series.
Resisting Siobhan is the third instalment in Patricia Rosemoor’s The McKenna Curse and continues to intrigue and captivate readers with the events that are attributed to the family curse. Siobhan and Clay are thrust together after years of separation and Siobhan’s determination to protect Clay from the McKenna Curse. But she didn’t protect the man she did marry, so it seems that this mystery must be resolved before any prospective spouse will truly be safe. I really enjoyed this book; the storyline was interesting, and the characters complimented each other perfectly. I’m more and more intrigued, as to how it will all play out. Bring on book 4!

I have enjoyed this series of the McKenna's and their ancestor's curse that endangers their love's life. In this book, Siobhan, decided that she would break things off with Clay because she didn't want to be responsible for his death from the curse. Instead, she married a man that she didn't love thinking that would keep him safe.
When things are going pretty badly for Siobhan, Clay comes back into her life to help keep her ranch from failing. There are just too many things going wrong on the ranch for this to be just coincidence and the list of suspects is pretty long.
Since it is not usually the person that seems the most likely, I was kind of right in who I picked but never saw the reason behind it. And wow, was that a doozy, I had to re-read that part as I just could not believe it!! Also, there were two culprits and one was one of the likely suspects - so hopefully I was not giving too much away, and not ruining the story with any spoilers.
There is just non-stop action as they try to keep things from escalating and always dealing with new problems as they also try to figure out who killed Jeff and why. Clay and Siobhan got their HEA but not sure that I could be as forgiving as Clay!
I do so love a story when it has a taste of paranormal to it. Siobhan believes in the curse that is on her family. It does make her a widow so it would seem so did she make it safe? When trouble still comes her way it would seem that he is the one to help and Clay steps in that path. The intensity and intrigue will start rising with us trying not to shy away. We want the answers I want to see it squished also. Keep those pages turning with you seeing what kind of burn love can do.
Fast paced romantic suspense with great characters. This third book is the best so far. Siobhan and Clay have a second chance at love and it's not an easy road. The mystery in this one is intense and action packed. I guessed the villain early but was shocked by the why I never saw coming. I wish there had been more from Jeff in some form but that was the only thing I felt like was left missing something. I'm ready for the next book.
Resisting Siobhan by Patricia Rosemoor was a romantic thriller featuring Siobhan McKenna and Clay Salazar. Siobhan is a recent widow whose husband was thrown from a horse, breaking his neck and the leg of the horse, forcing his sister, Jacy, to put the horse down. It was an accident and a terrible tragedy. But now there were accidents happening all over the ranch and Siobhan wasn't sure what to do to stop the downward spiral. Clay Salazar has been Siobhan's first love. One she had sent away in order to save him from the curse. Yes...the curse. Many years before, a jealous lover had cursed the family and Siobhan had seen too many deaths to discount its efficacy. So she had sent Clay away and married Jeff. She though he was safe since she didn't love him, but now he was dead and she was in over her head with the ranch.
Resisting Siobhan could have been a great book. Sometimes I think authors pump books out to fast and don't bother to go back over them and polish them enough. Although it was a good plot, things seemed rushed. There was not enough time and enough detail. Feelings reawakened too quickly to be believable; especially since Siobhan was determined that nothing would happen between them. The characters, including the leads, could have been a little more fleshed out. Maybe more about the relationship between Jacy and Galvan so readers could have been prepared; more about Early Farnum, so the readers could have made a decision about him; and may be more about Paco Vargas and his crimes, as well as Clay's Navajo grandfather. The prejudices could have been from people other than the bad guys. All would have made it a fuller, more compelling novel. It was readable and enjoyable, but could have been so much more. I recommend it with reservations.

Romantic mystery, with good characters and a big twist. Caring and handsome hero and fiesty heroine ,a ranch to save and some horses.
This the third book in this wonderful series and I believe it is a released series in a different order All the stories revolve around members of the McKenna family a family that is cursed to lose the one they love after a betrayal in the past
This latest offering is the story of Siobhan McKenna and the man she loves Clay Salazar in an effort to keep him safe Siobham denied her love of Clay and sent him on his way and married another man but now she is a widow. Clay returns to her ranch to work for her and stop the attacks that are happening to her livelihood These two have not only a love connection but a psychic one as well Can this Navajo horse whisperer keep her safe and help to break the surse on her family You will have to read to see
Someone is trying to sabotage newly widowed Siobhan's ranch. Can old flame Clay help her save it? On top of these problems, Siobhan's family is cursed that those they love will die so she is skittish about a relationship with Clay because she loves him and she doesn't want Clay to die.
The story moves along quickly, with a variety of equally motivated suspects. There's quite a lot going on - suspects, the curse, Clay's psychic link with horses. I enjoyed it.
Fans of the author should note that this is a reissue of a 2011 book, Brazen.
This is the third book in this series. I have enjoyed all three of them. Contains romance, mystery, paranormal, and a family curse
The whodunnit part of this book was fine but I had to overlook too many things to make it truly enjoyable. For me there wasn't enough description given to really fill out the location, the characters or their 'special talents'. No explanation was given for where their talents came from and why so limited. Just not enough to involve me in their problems and make me care. And, if you are going to make someone an equine expert; know that horses CAN NOT vomit! Picky, yes, but as an old horsewoman the little inconsistencies, like that, matter.. If you don't mind the lack of substance it's an okay read to while away some time.
