This is a really lovely summer romance, with an absolutely beautiful book cover. I loved reading this book!
The story is about a woman called Sam and a man called Ian, who meet when Ian is visiting America for his sister's wedding. Ian has two children, and Sam gets attached to them while they help her with her dogs.
The setting of the book is stunning, with a beautiful lake and gorgeous nature all around. I loved the setting, the characters, and the story. It was just a perfect book, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

A novel full of secrets which are slowly uncovered and shape the trajectory of the storyline. The book is well written and well thought out. The reader gets drawn in both the characters’ lives and gets to enjoy the descriptive scenes of the beautiful surrounding area.

Thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
As a great fan of series books I was very happy to review this book on behalf of Netgalley.
Samantha Freemont is slowly recovering after the death of her mother, taking over the fashion boutique ran by her mother alongside designing wedding dresses. Along the way she adopted a dog, who she soon finds out is having puppies, So not only does she have the shop and the wedding dresses she has four dogs to look after as well.
Ian Summerfield is over in Lake Haven for the Summer for his sisters wedding, with his adorable two children who are recovering from the loss of their mother. Ian takes the house next to Samantha although their first meeting is not the most auspicious when he discovers the dock he thought came with his house actually belongs to Samanthas house.
Samantha asks the children to help look after the puppies during the day while she is at work but Ian keeps being drawn to Samantha but he is only there for the holidays, how can this work!!!
This was a lovely book and I liked the way that nothing seemed jagged or out of place. I really didn't want this book to read, I was totally enchanted and cant wait to find out more about the residents of Lake Haven.. Definitely a heart lifting read for anyone struggling in the current climate.
Netgalley provided me with a copy of this book in return for an honest review
I absolutely love RaeAnne’s books and was so excited to be offered the chance to read this one. It toally did not disappoint. I would highly recommend not just the book, but the whole series. Read and be captivated!
Did realise this was such a huge series when I requested. Need to track down the rest before I can start on this.
This book grips you from the start. Highly recommended. The characters are engaging from the start and you get drawn in to their lives. Not too mushy either as don't like that in books. It's a good story line, engaging characters and adorable children. All have suffered loses and come through ok. Don't want to say too much as you need to read it.
A lovely story of how love conquers all. A family over from England for his sisters wedding, not only falls in love with the surrounding area but with his neighbour. They both have hidden issues but his children and her dog’s puppies have a way of getting them both to met up and open up. Two very lonely, unloved people who find each other
It's no secret that I am completely and utterly obsessed/in love with RaeAnne Thayne's books, so I only have good things to say about Summer at Lake Haven.
Sam was such a gorgeous character to read about - she hasn't had an easy upbringing, but that doesn't stop her from being the most wonderful, charming woman you'll ever meet. Her days are mostly spent designing wedding dresses and working her late mother's boutique shop as the new owner, therefore, not having much time for anything else, including love. She is surrounding by the most lovely group of friends who it's clear to see, absolutely adore her and I can't wait to read their stories as well, as I couldn't get enough. Of course, life was already becoming quite hectic, so why not move a devilishly handsome Oxford Professor in next door to her? Sam was, as clear as day, attracted to Ian from the very first moment she laid eyes on him, vice versa for him too. The connection between them was undeniable and you could tell it was most definitely not just going to be a Summer romance. I adored the chemistry Sam also had with Ian's children, Amelia and Thomas as well. They were just absolutely meant to meet.
However, there was one major obstruction in between their lives to overcome and it was turning out to be an even bigger challenge than the two imagined, leaving them with little to no doubt about their blossoming relationship ever becoming more. This was a gorgeous, romantic read with everything you could possibly ask for and want. Get ready to fall in love with the characters of Haven Point!
A sweet romance which allowed me to escape to another world where everything gave me that glowing feeling. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

I gave this book five stars I loved it a page turnover the science was great the plot was great the writing and characters of the book were easy two follow a great summer read.
This is the first book in the Haven Point series that I have read, and although I probably didn't get to know all the other characters as much as I would have by reading them first, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and do not feel that anything was missing.
Lovely Summer read, that was very easy to get lost in.
Absolutely loved it!
A lovely feelgood romance.
It's the story of Sam who lives in Lake Haven and she is designing Gemma's wedding dress.
Ian, who is Gemma's brother rents the house next door to do research on Salmon in the area as well as attending his sister's wedding along with his two children.
A lovely story of a second chance for Ian and a life for Sam after her mother's death.
I’ve not read a contemporary romance for a while, but this one had such a sweet premise I couldn’t resist. In Summer at Lake Haven we meet Sam, a local wedding gown designer/boutique owner. She lives alone on the shores of Lake Haven, her mother having passed away 6 or so months ago. Enter Ian, distracted Oxford professor, combining research trip with family trip, and visiting for the summer with his two young kids.
On the face of it this book has all the cliches that turn me off modern romance, but they are done well and adds to the story rather than making it feel formulaic. I don’t know if reading the previous books in the story would have added to my enjoyment of it, but I certainly found myself thinking that I wanted to read the stories of the other couples who feature too, so that’s what I will be doing next.
If you love sweet, minimally complicated romance, this is for you. Beautifully written, making you feel like you are on the shores of Lake Haven yourself, which is a rather nice escape when you are stuck in lockdown.
A most enjoyable story of love, romance and friendship, set in fabulous surroundings. A good, clean, tale featuring adorable children and dogs, their family and good friends. All the characters were kind and loving and the weaving in of the romance delightful.
