Not my first read by the author, I have read almost all of them and of course have read book 1 in this series!
This second chance slow burn romance has be feeling all the feels. Widow Bella Sunshine-Caldwel is a woman on a mission, that mission being raising her daughter the best way she knows and her business. That’s it, she has no time for anything else especially for her co-worker and fellow wedding planner Gabe Garcia who I mind you every woman has her eyes on in town. When days and nights turn into them seeing one another in a different light, especially Bella, their constructed plan(s) shatter and now what they have left is to either fight or be as is…their story is unique, hard, they both comes from a past and so many obstacles in the way, will they be able to maneuver them together or?
What I loved about this story is that it was different, the way the heroine thinks and the unique relationship they have down to him being an equal, something about it just drew me, the suffering, the pain and the happy. Can’t wait for more!

I love this series, and this book. This is the second book in the series, but you don't have to have read the first one to love this one. I love single parent romances with an adorable child in it, and this one checks that off with a check plus plus. Bella had lost her husband in a car accident when her daughter was just a baby. Gabe is the sexy, hot, sweet man that works with her at the wedding business that she and her sisters own. As he tries to win her heart, it is a swoon worthy outstanding story, that once I started it, it was so hard to put down. I am so looking forward to thie next book in this series. I highly recommend this book, this series, and this author.
I have been dying for this book! Gabe was so obviously in love with Bella, and she just didn’t want to see it because she thought she had to protect herself! The weddings, the friendship, the love...it’s just everything I could’ve hoped for and more! I can wait for the next book in the series, because that couple might just give this one a run for their money!
A heart string tugging emotional thrill ride filled with intriguing and engaging charters, witty and memorable dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion ..... Really enjoyed this heartwarming second chance over flowing with sweetly thrilling moments journey.
“Temptation on Ocean Drive” is a beautiful and sensitive story about a man who knows what he wants and the woman who is afraid to love again. Romance oozes from every page and I was swept away by the magic of the emotional journey. Gabe is one of the most romantic men I have ever encountered in fiction and his pursuit of Bella is tender, passionate and from his heart. His feelings for Bella are somewhat poetic in that he gazes longingly at her across the conference table, wishing they could be together.
This is one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read. It is uplifting, positive, and I didn’t want their story to end. I felt as if I was part of the family, crossing my fingers and praying that Gabe and Bella would always be together. I read many parts over again so I could savor the raw emotions exhibited by Gabe and Bella as they discovered the magic of being in love. Jennfier Probst’s eloquent tale of true love made me smile, become a bit teary eyed, and feel grateful that she has given us this remarkable story.
After reading Temptation on Ocean Drive I am once again impressed with Jennifer Probst's ability to weave a tale that I can get completely lost in. I had already read the first book in the series Love on Beach Avenue and really enjoyed the Sunshine sisters and the story of their business Sunshine Bridal. I knew that Bella's story was going to be difficult being that she was a young widow and mother. What surprised me was the depth of the story for her love interest and business partner Gabe. His story just grabbed my heart. We live in a society where everyone is judged by face value not by their character and Gabe has really been treated poorly. If I start giving details I will ruin their story which is wonderful and definitely a slow burn but appropriate for a woman that has been grieving her husband for years. I am looking forward to the youngest Sunshine sisters story and cannot wait to see where that takes us! Temptation on Ocean Drive was told from dual POV and had plenty of love, a few tears, bits of laughter and just enough steam!
Sunshine Sisters love! I loved the first book about the oldest sister and her assistant, Gabe, the sex-on-legs assistant. He is a stud with a heart of gold working in a female dominated profession and doing a fine job. Gabe is delicious as he fights off admirers and fosters a secret obsession for middle sister, Bella. She’s a widowed single mom living for her daughter and her job with her family’s company. Is she finally going to recognize the stellar man right in front of her? Gabe’s ready to settle down and be a family man. Bella and her too-cute daughter already feel like his family. I was so excited about this pairing but parts of it seemed off to me. Gabe’s drama was just so so and some of his actions didn’t mesh with his character. He is a smart, sexy handsome man but didn’t seemed like the alpha type. He didn’t need any help being a dreamboat. So responsible and trust worthy. I love the wedding/event planning backdrop and the creativity of these characters when they work together to pull off the perfect wedding. So much fun! These sisters are terrific and I hope there are more stories than just the three. The youngest and wild child is next. Artist Taylor and her best friend photographer, Pierce. He’s been smitten for years but she’s friend zoned him. Should be a good one. I can’t wait! 3.5 stars
This was a simple and sweet read for me. Gabe and Bella for me instantly get the vibe that they are meant for each other. Bella has so much pain that she is carrying after the death of her husband.
Gabe feels like he really has to prove himself to her, and that is in a way kind of understandable and yet I just wanted to bang their heads together and make them see how much they are perfect for each other.
I really enjoyed the book and the story, it was the perfect read for me at this time.
It's been forever since o last read Jennifer Probst and this story made me realize what a mistake that was.
Everything about Gabe and Bella was perfect. From the way she shield her heart to the way he kept coming at her with his feelings and making her see there was more to them and their love than what she thought. Bella's awakening was magical and i was so happy to see that she saw more to Gabe and wanted to make him and the HEA they deserved hers.
As I said earlier it's been a while but after finishing this book I can tell you with certainty I'm coming back for more!!!

It is always good when you read a romance where the person that has to change is not the one you expected. In this case we have Gabe, the sexiest bachelor in Cape May, a title he loathes. He wants to and is ready to fall in love and be loved. Settle down and marry the one who would stand be his side. If only she would see him and not the gossip.
Bella Sunshine, single mother a full time wedding planner. She works with Gabe, but doesn’t really see him. Trust is hard for her, because to her everyone leaves and in the worst way.
Okay, so as I said before this is a refreshing and beautiful romance story, the author gives us a twist. A look at the opposite side and how they react when they are not seen for who they are. A romance. That stole my heart and filled it with all kinds of possibilities. This trip to Cape May was simply perfection!
Bella-Sunshine Caldwell knows loss. She thought she had her whole life planned out, until a drunk driver destroyed her dreams. After digging out of a deep depression, Bella’s main focus is her daughter (Zoe) and work. She’s good at what she does and handles PITA brides with patience and grace. Although she’s a wonderful, loving mom to Zoe her personal life is in shambles. She’s very insecure and believes “everyone” will eventually leave, so why get her heart involved...until Gabe.
Gabe Garcia had a crappy childhood. His dad never believed in him and put ideas in his head that if it weren’t for his good looks, he’d be NOTHING. Gabe worked in the city, but found peace at the beach and working for Sunshine Bridal. Recently, Gabe was given a promotion to which Bella wasn’t happy about. Again, she has MAJOR trust issues. Although she’s “nice”, she’s very distant where Gabe’s concerned. When Gabe and Bella are thrown together to work on a Dr. Seuss themed wedding, she discovers things about Gabe she never knew—because she believed the small town and “Beach Bachelor” gossip.
Let me just say, Gabe is an absolute SAINT! He loves freely, without judgement. He waited YEARS until he felt Bella was in a position to give him a chance, to give THEM a chance. He did everything to prove he was worthy of her and Zoe’s love, but she kept pushing him away with excuses. She was almost brutal with her judgement and words. I don’t know that I would’ve stayed around. The story does have a HEA, but it was a struggle to get there. I absolutely LOVED Gabe and Zoe’s interactions. She’s adorbs! I can’t wait to read Taylor and Pierce’s story. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Temptation on Ocean Drive!
This is Book 2 in Jennifer Probst’s Sunshine Sisters series. Unfortunately, I wasn’t enthralled with this book. It’s not that it was bad, but it wasn’t something I was flipping pages to discover what happens, but I was flipping to move the story along. I normally love Jennifer’s books, but the gossip, and repeated gossip, and Bella listening to gossip rather than her own heart and mind, was annoying to me. I am sure this is an anomaly for Jennifer Probst, so I am looking forward to a better book for the next in the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
"Temptation on Ocean Drive" by Jennifer Probst, the second book of the Sunshine Sisters series, reads as a total standalone, making it perfect for readers (like me) who haven't yet picked up the first book in the series.
Main characters Bella and Gabe were both very likeable and sympathetic, and it was easy for me to cheer them on to their HEA. Their journey presented a number of challenges because of the emotional baggage they both carried, and they each made some mistakes along the way. Somehow that just made their story seem more realistic and relatable, however, and when they finally worked through all of those issues and came together as a family with Bella's young daughter, Zoe, their happiness felt incredibly well deserved.
The book's secondary characters, most notably Bella's sisters Avery and Taylor, Avery's fiance Carter, and Taylor's best friend Pierce, were just as likeable as Bella and Gabe themselves and added a tremendous amount of depth and humor to the story. I loved the way the sisters interacted, and even though they often teased each other, it was clear how much they loved and supported each other. I also appreciated the way that the entire family pitched in to help Bella with Zoe.
Overall, I really enjoyed "Temptation on Ocean Drive" and recommend it for all fans of emotional contemporary romance. I will definitely be going back to read the first book of the series, which featured Avery and Carter's romance, and look forward to picking up Taylor's story next spring!

Bella and Gabe were charming together and I believed in the attraction initially, but as the book progressed I found myself losing interest in this couple, which is really odd with this author as she is a go to author for me.
I was drawn to the idea that of a male in the bridal industry, and I liked the dynamic Gabe had, not only with Bella but also with the other sisters. But I am not sure I ever fully bought into the idea of Gabe and Bella as a long term couple, which made me not fully connect with them as much as I was expecting to.
While I did have issues with it regarding the main relationship and the way it evolved, I still really enjoyed this title and recommend it.
What a sweet wonderful romance. Bella is trying to protect her heart because she doesn't believe that she can find love a second time. Gabe is determined to show her thst he is someone she can trust. What a wonderful story.
Jennifer writes romances like no other, it’s emotional, with some fun, friendships, families and a little angst. This is the story about Bella and Gabe, and her little daughter Zoe. With whom I was already in love since book one, when she appeared countless times in her aunt Avery story.
Months after Zoe is born, Bella’s husband is killed in a car accident. That was 5 years ago, now she is focused on working with her two other sisters in the Sunshine Bridal, a wedding planning business, and raise her beautiful daughter. She doesn’t want and doesn’t have time to have romance in her life.
Gabe came to Cape May three years ago and started working at Sunshine Bridal ever since. Single, he has a reputation as a player in the small town, with a revolving door of woman going on. But none of it it’s true, from the first moment he saw Bella he knew she was the one. And he wanted to be in her and Zoe’s life permanently, he just needs to hope that Bella’s heart open to him and actual believe in his feelings.
He was the perfect swoon man ever, seriously high rate book boyfriend material. And he was all in. I loved his interactions with Zoe, it was sweet and funny. He would be a perfect addition to their little family if only Bella wasn’t frustrating the hell out of me.
She was constantly diminishing his feelings towards her thinking that he wasn’t serious or that he would eventually leave town for something big and better. And when they finally got together she preferred to believed everyone else but him. It was like he was never gonna be enough for her.
I was so happy when he finally stood up for himself and even though he loved Bella to pieces, he knew his value, he never did anything wrong to her and maybe she would never be ready to love someone else. They finally had their HEA, he so deserved it and I was so happy that she finally saw her errors and work her heart. As a fan o single parent and small town romances, it’s was a very good story and can’t wait to read the last book of the sisters.

Temptation on Ocean Drive is book two of Jennifer Probst's series, The Sunshine Sisters. These books can be read stand alone but I don't recommend that. This series follows three sisters who run the family wedding planning business.
This book focuses on the middle sister Bella. She is a widowed mom who was sailing through life. Gabe is the friend and co-worker who has been trying to catch her attention. When these two are thrown together for an assignment it's a good read to see how they handle it.
Jennifer Probst writes fun and sexy books that usually follow a family and/or friends. I can't wait for the next book to see what shenanigans she creates for Taylor and Pierce.
TEMPTATION ON OCEAN DRIVE is the second instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult THE SUNSHINE SISTERS erotic, romance series focusing on the Sunshine sisters: Avery, Bella and Taylor. This is wedding planner/single mother/widow Bella Sunshine-Caldwell, and wedding planner Gabe Garcia’s story line. TEMPTATION ON OCEAN DRIVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Gabe and Bella) TEMPTATION ON OCEAN DRIVE follows the building romance between wedding planner/single mother/widow Bella Sunshine-Caldwell, and wedding planner Gabe Garcia. Gabe Garcia has worked as an assistant for the Sunshine sisters for close to three years and is about to become one of their full-time wedding planners but Bella Sunshine struggles with the possibility of Gabe walking away leaving the team stranded and short staffed. Having lost her husband within months of the birth of their daughter Zoe, Bella battles the demons of her past believing Gabe will move on toward something bigger and better. Gabe Garcia has lusted after Bella Sunshine since the day they first met but Bella has erected a wall around her heart, a wall Gabe is hoping to break through. Working together on a celebrity wedding Bella struggles with jealousy when Gabe becomes the center of attention. As Gabe moves closer in an effort to seduce our story line heroine, Bella begins to pull back believing the rumors about Gabe’s love life are true. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Gabe and Bella, and the potential fall-out as Bella struggles with the female attention that seems to follow Gabe wherever he goes, and the memories of losing someone she loves.
Gabe Garcia has a reputation as a player but his reputation is unearned and built upon a series of lies. As Gabe and Bella’s relationship pulls the couple closer together, rumors and stories about Gabe’s ongoing conquests pushes our heroine to rethink her future with the man with whom she is falling in love.
The relationship between Gabe and Bella is slow to develop as Bella is unable to move on from the past. With her daughter her number one priority, Bella struggles to take time for herself but Gabe’s seduction of our story line heroine pushes Bella out of her comfort zone into the arms of the man who is willing to step up and take care of them both. The $ex scenes are passionate and captivating without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Bella’s daughter Zoe; her sisters Avery and her fiancé Carter Ross (Love on Beach Lane #1), Taylor and photographer Pierce Powers’ Bella’s friend Daisy; Gabe’s ex-girlfriend Devon, as well as several wedding clients, divas and celebrities all trying to host an extravagant wedding.
TEMPTATION ON OCEAN DRIVE is a story of family, friendships, relationships, loss and love. The premise is engaging and heart warming; the romance is heart breaking and seductive; the characters are energetic and dynamic; our heroine is broken and struggling to move on from the past.

I believe that after finishing a good romance book, the reader should have a smile on their face, a warm contentment in their heart and if the book happens to be from a new (to them) author, they should be browsing Goodreads for more i.e. back titles and upcoming releases, to repeat the experience. Temptation on Ocean Drive by Jennifer Probst checks all of the above. I didn't realize until finishing this, that it's actually a part of a series (don't worry, works perfectly as a standalone) and now I am delighted to have two more books to look forward to.
Set in a small beach town, this is a heart stirring romance between a single mom Bella and her coworker Gabe. The tropes are of unrequited love and second chance romance, both of which the author nails. It's a third person dual POV narration that works well with the storyline. I enjoyed how I knew what both the characters were thinking, and the reasoning behind their actions, unlike when we just know what one person is thinking and towards the end, there are a bunch of revelations. I much preferred this dual POV and found myself invested in the characters and rooting for their love story.
At times I was somewhat frustrated with Bella's action but her vulnerability and doubts were justified. Gabe was just the perfect guy you want as a romance novel hero, that's all I'll say, you need to read the book for yourself to know more. All of the secondary characters were well done and I particularly adored Bella's six year old daughter, Zoe.
Like I mentioned this is a part of a three book series, the first, Love on Beach Avenue is the story of Avery, the eldest sister, this is the second and the final, Forever in Cape May is about the youngest sister Taylor. After posting this review, I am going straight over to start with the first book that is already downloaded on my kindle.
If you enjoy small town romances, adorable, sweet stories with plenty of heart and laugh out loud moments, excellently done characters with intense chemistry, make sure you check out this series.
