A story which has it's beginning in an old , fatal accident. I guessed what had happened early on although there were still a few surprises.

The Neighbours is a gritty suspenseledden page-turner with an ending you will not predict. Very hard to put down once you start it, so maybe clear your schedule?

This is a hugely talented author and I cannot wait to read more.

Very intense book. Very sad, laughs and emotional. How a families life can be torn apart and then the building of relationships again

I enjoyed this dramatic novel very much, and felt this could literally happen in any suburban enclave. The storyline flowed seamlessly and kept me on my toes the whole time.

I loved this book!

The Neighbours is the story of Abby, Nate, Nancy and Liam.
Abby’s brother died in a car crash she survived, thanks to Nate stopping at the scene of the crash, but she has never been able to forgive herself for her brothers death.
She and Nate marry and set up home together and are seemingly happy with their daughter Sarah. Then Nancy and Liam move in next door with their son Zac.
I can’t really say any more than that about the synopsis as I don’t want to ruin the story for anyone.

The story is told in different points of view. Abby’s, Nate’s, Nancy’s and Sarah’s by means of pages in her diary.
I was completely immersed in all of the characters, able to put myself in each of their shoes
Abby is emotionally damaged and closed off
Nate is a genuinely lovely man who adores Abby

I enjoyed reading the parts of Sarah’s diary, even though it felt wrong but without it the book wouldn’t have the impact it does.
The book is emotional, full of new revelations that hit the reader like a slap in the face and when all of the pieces fall together for the end of the book.......wow! I did not see that coming.

Thank you to the Author, Publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Addictive and Twisty. An original psychological thriller. A must read.
Abby has never been able to forgive herself.
After a night of irresponsible fun, her brother died in a car accident that was her fault and she pushed away the man she loved. Nate has never been able to forgive himself.
After discovering the wreckage, he wasn't able to save the man trapped inside, only a woman who he later fell in love with. Soon there will be even more to forgive
Years on and happily married, Abby and Nate have pushed their guilt out of sight in their picture-perfect home. But when Abby's first love and his wife move in across the road, memories and secrets long buried begin to surface. While Abby keeps their past a secret, the two couples become ever-closer. But there are deep, dark secrets buried on this street.
I adored Abby's characters along with Nate. This book is a complete package of psychological thriller with great twists I've never expected coming.
Thanks to NetGalley and Hodder Straighten for giving me an advance copy.

Really good read. Would recommend to friends and family. I could sympathise with characters (important for any fiction novel!) and looked forward to picking it up and reading the next few chapters! Interesting plot line and a good ending. Will look out for more novels by the author. Thank you.
