I knew I was going to enjoy this book as I got into it from the very first page which is what I like. It was well written with good characters and it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout

Jenny thinks she has the perfect life. She has a husband she loves and a young son she adores. Then her husband is killed in a hit and run and she fines out her marriage wasn’t as perfect as she thought. It seems he was keeping a lot of secrets from her. Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

After a bitter fight, Jenny’s husband rushes out to a meeting and never returns. Jenny is left alone with her toddler son and lots of questions and then secrets come to light. Then Jenny meets the man that held her husband's hand while he lay dying. She feels she must meet this man to find out if he can shed light on what happened. Good page turner!

I just couldn’t get into this book at all. The synopsis sounded great but it just wasn’t my style of writing. I didn’t much like any of the main characters, Michael was unpleasant, his wife was pathetic, Gary was boring and the MIL was vile!!! Thé FIL was ok but didn’t really have much input
The beginning was so much better than the rest of the book but from the middle on i really had to force myself to finish it

A great idea but the writing was just too stilted for my taste. Sorry

This new psychological thriller was a bit okay for me. I did enjoy how the book took you between 3-4 characters POV. I really liked at the beginning of the story it began very high pace and action packed, but by the middle it was slow and I found it to be very predictable. On to the characters Michael's mother? I hated that woman and cringed every time she came into the scene of the book. That woman drove me mad! Michael a guy down on his luck but in reality it's his own fault. Gambling, borrowing money and cheating on top of that! Please! Okay so he probably shouldn't have died but I would've left him if he were my husband! He was coming home late and not spending time with the family. Come on that should have been a telltale sign of things being wrong. But maybe I'm just a suspicious person. I don't stand for that kind of stuff. But we should talk about Jenny, I understand she was grieving but she has a son and the way she was treating her son and herself was inappropriate, irresponsible and just down right nasty. But again enter Michael's mother I don't think she had any right thinking she could come in and take the child away for a few weeks. Michael's mother was a snobby and a control freak. Gary is just a hurt psychopath and I'm not surprised that Jenny trusted him so easily on. I am glad she had some sense of only being friends and that nothing more did happen. Could you imagine if something more had happened. WOW!

In Conclusion this read was just a bit of a miss for me. Not very suspenseful, no real surprise twists. It was pretty predictable. Thank you again NetGalley, Hera Books and JA Andrews for a free copy to review for my honest opinion.

I feel so badly about not enjoying this book. I loved the synopsis and the cover and thought it would be so good! It was a quick read for sure but the dialogue just didn’t flow. I didn’t like any of the characters, which isn’t always a bad thing. I often hate all the characters in a book but still enjoy the writing. Unfortunately, it just didn’t do it for me with this one.

Thank you to Hera Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

I was hooked from the prologue. I pride myself on ‘predicting’ the end of psychological thrillers - but I was still hooked 3/4’s of the way through with no idea of how this would turn out - it was an emotional rollercoaster from the outset.

The writer has a real talent for creating intense character internal dialogue - allowing you to really feel the vulnerability and anxiety of the characters. Very few writers can write point of view chapters for multiple characters well - the author is great at this and I found myself loving and loathing different characters. Each character story is well thought out and the suspense builds throughout the book.

What I loved the most was that something HAPPENED to progress the storyline in each chapter, there were no ‘filler’ chapters that left me bored - I read the entire book in two days and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

A quick and easy read page turner. I sort of guessed what was going to happen early on but it in no way detracted from my enjoyment as I was wanting to know how it all tied up and executed to a satisfying resolution.

A great read .... Jenny thought she was happily married to Michael but after Michaels death it what seems to be a tragic accident the truth unfolds and Jenny finds herself faced with the hard reality of who her husband was. Gary was the witness to the accident and he and Jenny become closer as friends but all it not as it seems ... some good twists that will keep you gripped until the end .

This book was such a letdown. After reading the first few chapters I thought it’d be one of those books I couldn’t put down. I was wrong. This book was so predictable and dragged on and on.

First, I want to thank J.A. Andrews, Hera Books, NetGalley and BOTBSPUBLICITY for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review!

WOW!! I thought Mummy Boy was good but J.A. Andrews second novel brought You Let Him to a whole new level!!! It was very suspenseful, thrilling, heartbreaking, and a very intense climatic ending that stunned me.

J.A. Andrew’s book hooked me at the last line of the prologue. From there it was very fast paced. He wrote some very deeply intense emotional scenes for Jenny that got my attention. My heart ached for Jenny and cute little Daniel.

Oh there are a lot of shocking jaw dropping moments in this book that left me speechless. You think you know how the story is going to go but oh you have no idea what twists and turns J.A has us readers! There are so many twists and turns.

You Let Him In was the perfect title for this book. While reading I questioned it. However, at the end bam you could tell!!

My question is how will J.A. Andrews top this must read book? I can’t wait to find out!

First time to read for the author, I will seek his other book Mummy's boy to read as well.
Jenny, Michael and Daniel a small family where the husband Michael struggles to make ends meet. One night after an unfortunate argument with his wife, he goes to a business meeting and never returns. The last words Jenny said to him was just go. He was killed by a hit and run accident on the same night leaving Jenny to gather the pieces of their life.
Faced by the sudden death of her husband, Jenny tries to unravel all the lies and deception fabricated by Michael leaving her in unthinkable amount of debt.
She drowns in depression trying to hang on dear life only for the sake of her toddler and by the support of a budding friendship with the only witness to her husband's death.
An engaging book, it lets you question your life priorities. Do material stuff really matter over the relationships we have? If you lose one of your loved ones suddenly, would you have said the proper words for the last time or you'd live regretting what you said or left unsaid driving yourself crazy?
The book started fast and strong and the ending was fast paced though the middle dragged for a bit.

Michael is keeping things from his wife. He is working hard but it isn't enough for the lifestyle he wants. soon he will tell her everything but not yet. First he has to secure this deal which will make life easier and be the start to putting things right. Micheal goes to his meeting and there is a hit and run and he is killed. His wife Jenny is obviously devastated and focuses on their young son Daniel. She can't stop thinking that his wedding ring is missing and when some friends mention Michael being seen handing over some cash to some less than salubrious characters, Jenny begins to wonder how much she really knew about her husband. Her in-laws are rather more than helpful and despite having her own mother she calls her mother in law “mum”. She quickly finds a credit card bill for over £5000 that previously she knew nothing about. What has Michael been up to and why? I very quickly got into this and whilst Jenny was rather naive in the marriage I did feel for her finding out such things when she was grieving. A clever and well thought out read with a couple of suspicious not- so -nice characters which came across very well. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

You Let Him In is a story about Michael and Jenny. I was really excited when I read the synopsis of this book. I was immediately intrigued. The first few chapters grabbed me right away, but the middle of the book had me wanting for more. It was very predictable, but the ending still had me on the edge of my seat. Thank you to the Author , publisher, and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a difficult review for me to write because I really wanted to like this book but I just wasn't feeling it. The synopsis sounded great and I was all ready for a roller coaster ride. Personally for me, and maybe I have read too many books now, but I didn't find anything about the plot to be surprising. In fact I found the story line to be a bit predictable.

The story is told in Michael's voice - Michael is the voice, Jenny's voice - Jenny is the Wife, Donna's voice - Donna is Michael's mother and Gary's voice - Gary is the individual who witnessed Michael's accident.

Michael and Jenny are a married couple with ups and downs, after an evening of disappointment and slight argument Michael leaves for a "business meeting" only never to come home as he is struck by a vehicle and killed. Jenny needs closure and forms a friendship with Gary who witnessed the accident.

None of the characters are overly likable. I found them all to be needy and whiney

2.5 Stars: This one was a complete miss for me. The books starts off at a fast pace and is intriguing but then it somehow loses steam and slows down. The writing is clunky in places. The plot is predictable, the title makes it more so! The characters are well fleshed out but I didn’t connect with them. Overall it was a bit of a drag that could have e had a faster middle and a smoother ending. The plot has potential but the execution is a tad lacking.
