The writing in this book was absolutely awful.
The story however was quite good.
It just was very old fashioned

I struggled a little with this book, although the story was interesting and the themes felt relevant, the style of writing just wasn’t the type that I enjoy. I’m sure some people would really enjoy this it just wasn’t the best fit for me

I really liked the story. It was interesting and relevant to politics today given the rise in the extreme right in the UK.

For me the writing though was old fashioned, overly formal, and sometimes sexiest. It wasn't badly written, just not a style that suited me

Not a fan, but I suspect my Gran would quite like it.
