Such a cute slow burn romance, I loved how much Jon is really careful in his romancing of Annie, recognising her issues with trust, it’s just a cozy and thoroughly enjoyable read. I loved watching their relationship build and develop chemistry, I loved the community and friendships. It’s just an honest and warm read.

A new beginning is exactly what Annie gets in this will they/ won't they romance. Having been hurt once before, Annie struggles to trust again and the romance focuses on her fear and Jon's slow and gentle pursuit of her.
The story contains the elements you'd expect for the genre, with the addition of a Christian theme running through it.
A clean, sweet, wholesome, lighthearted story.
The Cottage of New Beginnings is a beautiful story of a woman rediscovering herself within the loving circle of new and old friends. Many thanks to Canelo and Netgalley for the e-arc!
This book had a really heart-warming storyline! I know I’ve mentioned it a lot of times, but I’m a fan of all kinds of cozies, specially cozy books and movies, and The Cottage of New Beginnings was just that.
The author has a very captivating style of story-telling. She beautifully wrote the descriptions of village/ country-side life, which I really appreciated. I longed to be with Annie and roam around the enchanting spots in Thorndale. The romance between Annie and Jon was angsty but sweet, and I loved seeing them getting close throughout the book. The book also had strong female friendships which felt like cherries on top of a delicious cake for me. :')
The Cottage of New Beginnings comes out tomorrow, September 3rd. If feel-good books are your thing, I highly recommend picking it up.
A sweet, entertaining and heartwarming story that made me smile and root for the characters.
I liked the lovely setting, the characters and the plot.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Set in the charming village of Thorndale where everyone knows everyone (and their business), Annie is set to make a home of Willow Cottage, left to her by her godmother Molly. It's a place where she spent many parts of her childhood summers. After a failed relationship, she leaves her old life in Edinburgh behind to make a fresh start there, but it doesn’t get off to the best as she angers local resident Jon by parking in the wrong spot. The pair have several interactions from there and start a relationship which is as every bit as cliche as it sounds. Their romance is basically the only plot element, and there is little else discussed like Annie's teaching career or village life outside the two interacting.
I found this book unrealistic and whilst there were enjoyable elements and a wholesome to reading this over the bank holiday, it lacked momentum and panache to make it really enjoyable. Annie was an annoying character and I felt as though the conflicts in the story were resolved much too easily. It's a story without substance so if you're looking for a PG romance fluff then this is for you, otherwise opt for a romance story by the likes of Sophie Kinsella instead
I was surprised by the religious element as this is a very Christian and faith centred novel and relationship so it remains very much PG which seems a little unlikely in our current society.
Sigh. Annie, a deeply annoying woman, has inherited a cottage. She meets Jon, a very good guy, and hopes for romance, It doesn't happen at first but readers of this genre know things will turn around. This is a rare pass from me for this sort of novel- largely because Annie was just so blind to pretty much everything. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Am sure other will enjoy it and I'd be happy to see story lines for some of the other characters for the people of Thorndale.
My very first read by the Suzanne Snow but I was drawn in my the cover and title. The characters are very related and the story was charming and fun. Overall, an enjoyable read and new author to add to my list. Thank you.
Great book thoroughly enjoyed and with great characters i like the cover aswell, and i look forward to reading more by this Author
I finished The Cottage of New Beginnings by Suzanne Snow today, and I absolutely loved this book! I wasn't sure what to expect going in, as Suzanne Snow is a new author to me. The beautiful cover caught my attention, so I decided to give it a try. This book drew me right in from the start!
Snow had such a fantastic way of bringing Annie and Jon to life. Their chemistry growing rapidly from page to page. I flew through the book, as I couldn't wait to see what happened next! I hope we get to read more about Annie and Jon in coming books, as I didn't want their story to come to an end! Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this story as a nice easy read. The characters are really likable, you can imagine living in the village and this being real life. There is a rollercoaster of emotions to experience throughout and I would love to see what happens next!
This was my first book by this author, It was pretty enjoyable. I would give this book a 3.5 star rating! It was a pretty Quick and easy read!
This book was OK. I just felt that there wasn't much substance to it which disappointed me as I thought I'd really enjoy it. I found Annie a bit annoying and it really annoyed me when she dressed so inappropriately. for standing in a field for a day. By the time it came for her and Jon to kiss I'd just lost interest. Unfortunately this just didn't grip me.
I just finished reading Suzanne Snow's debut novel, The Cottage of New Beginnings. The story was sweet from the beginning - Annie returns to the village of her childhood when she inherits a cottage from her godmother. As she is reintroduced to the environment and the people, she crushes on village hunk, Jon.
But, I felt that the beginning of the novel did not flow well. The chapters jumped around too much and the characters weren't built well until after the midpoint of the story. Once there, the story was set and I was excited to follow Annie and Jon through their budding romance.
I received an advanced copy of the ebook from NetGalley.
I was immediately sucked into this book from the very first page. It held my interest instantly and continued like that for the entire book. I also loved the characters!
A cozy cottage - an escape from a broken heart and a local hero. Just what you need for a great cozy afternoon read!
Another series is born, this time the Thorndale series. This is a trend I don't like, because more often than not it means each title in the series feels insubstantial. I thought this was an okay read. It was all about the romance, with no other plot. I found Annie childish and melodramatic at times. And what did she expect from wearing flat sandals to a farm show? Jon was okay, but he didn't blow me away. I also felt the ending to be cliched. But. It is a light and easy read. I loved all the secondary characters, and the description of the setting is very well-written.
With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a sweet read. It was mildly predictable, but not in an eye rolling kind of way. I really enjoyed Annie. She had faced some heartbreak but wasn't just looking for a man to make it all okay. She was her own woman, tried to take care of things and made/reignited female friendships.
This story was a charming, quick read. The setting was dreamy and I think this book is perfect for a vacation or lazy weekend read.
Plenty of up and down emotions in this book making for a very enjoyable read.. This is one to be reread at a later date to be enjoyed once more. Very well written and thought out and well worth the 5 stars that I am giving. This really is a Cottage of new beginnings giving hope to certain characters. I recommend reading and enjoying this.
Thanks to Net Galley and the publishers for this ARC copy in return for an honest review.
Annie moves to Thorndale village, where she spent most of her summer holidays as a child, after an ugly breakup with her fiance five days before the wedding. Her godmother had left Annie a cottage in Thorndale upon her passing. There Annie reunites with old and makes new friends. She is enamored with Jon, the most eligible bachelor in the village, who seems to be enamored with her as well.
The details of the village and surrounding area are lovely and well fleshed out. The secondary characters are interesting and likable. While this book is well written, it is completely lacking in plot outside the romance between Annie and Jon. Annie has a cottage to settle as well as a teaching job to prepare for, but these things are hardly mentioned as Annie moons for Jon day in and day out. Throughout the book, Annie is certain she should not rush into anything and be cautious with her heart. The end of the book is cliched and eye-roll inducing.
This book had so much potential to be a fun, light romance read set in the countryside of England. It was a solid 3 stars for me until the last few chapters when I realized that a cheesy cliche and complete about face of the main character's resolve were the ending of the book.
I would also mention that this is Christian romance. Jon is extremely religious, was shaped by his mission trips, and runs a Christian outreach program for teens. This is probably why Jon and Annie's romance is PG, which is not a bad thing, but seems to be completely unrealistic in today's society as well as the history Annie gives about her previous relationship.
To sum up, I would not recommend this book unless one is looking for a completely light, fluffy read that is completely about the romance and not much else. Thanks to Netgalley for the arc and a chance to read.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I actually was surprised how much I liked this book, great storyline and likeable characters.
