My fellow bloggers will be able to relate to this but how on earth are you supposed to write a review when the book is this good? My main is reeling and I’ve been blown away! I can’t think on how to review The Stolen Sisters it’s just another level of book!

The last Louise Jenson story I read was The Family and I remember feeling the same afterwards. Staring at my tablet trying to come up with the words that describe what talent Louise has!

Telling the story of The Sinclair Sister, three sisters that were abducted when they were children. Set in the past and present this tells the story of the abduction and the aftermath now they’re adults. All the sisters are very different but struggling in their own ways. Just because they’re physically free doesn’t mean they don’t have struggles with the past.

“Monsters walk among us and sometimes they look like you. Sometimes they look like me.”

I raced through this story and read in one sitting. Make sure you have a free day before opening The Stolen Sisters! Breathtaking suspense, a gripping story plus fantastic characters and a phenomenal author!
I found the pacing a little confusing at times but that’s me desperately looking for a negative about this book!

A well written psychological thriller with an ample smattering of red herrings to keep you on your toes. Emotionally packed and sinister. Enjoyed the ride!

Meet the Sinclair Sisters… It’s no secret that the three sisters are taken and then returned. That’s not a spoiler. I remember watching an Author interview with Louise and she made it very clear that she didn’t want to be writing that kind of story where the reader is in turmoil wondering if they ever make it out… So for a while I thought, ‘But what is the story going to be about then?’ Where is the mystery? Where will the trauma be? That thought didn’t last long. I remember being hit with a twist…another twist…and another twist…and actually stopping for a breather and wondering where this book was going next. Louise Jensen spun a devestating story which you expect cannot get worse…but oh it does.

Having read the previous book by this author I was looking forward to this one and it doesn’t disappoint.

Twenty years ago Carly and her 8 year old twin sisters Marie and Leah were kidnapped. Although they managed to escape, the trauma of that day has blighted each of their lives. As the 20th anniversary of their ordeal approaches and more discoveries about that day come to light, will the sisters be able finally put the past behind them?

A compelling story. Lots of twists and turns. An excellent read.

this is so good . 3 sisters two are twins Lea and Marie . Carly is the eldest sister who has to look after her sisters when parents working . she wants to be with her boyfriend so not happy but that day does not go well the 3 sisters are kidnapped outside there house they survive and today is the 20th anniversary. one is married the other two are not how this story unfolds is brilliant i cried

Entertaining read,that had a few predictable plot lines,but also kept throwing unexpected things in too.
Went along at a nice steady pace until the end when I felt it really ramped up the tension.
Don't mind admitting there was a line or two near the end that made me a bit emotional.
The whole cast of characters seemed crazy,but I couldn't help but like the sisters.

Another amazing book by Louise Jensen; read it within two days it was unputdownable and very addictive.

The book is from each sister’s point of view; Leah, Marie and Carly and what happened leading up to their kidnap and how they have changed as adults following the event, either for the better or for worse.

Louise Jensen has done it again by including a psychological disorder into the book to give you a sense of the realness and how people can still be traumatised by something that has happened in their childhood.

Twenty years earlier, the Sinclair sisters - thirteen year old Carly and eight year old twins Leah and Marie - were taken, snatched from the street near their home. The effect on their lives of this childhood ordeal has been devastating. Carly as an adult is unable to trust or form relationships. Marie’s chaotic life is spiralling further down. And Leah on the surface looks to have her life together, with a husband, young child and part time job, but that belies the reality of a life lived in constant fear.

The story alternated between past and present, recounting what happened to the girls back then, interspersed with what’s happening now. Is there a basis for Leah’s fear that the past is still a danger to them?

This book already has a lot of rave reviews - people seem to absolutely love it - but it just didn’t entirely grab me for some reason. Maybe it was just me. There were things I appreciated - the long term impact on the girls of their ordeal is never underplayed, and the portrayal of Leah’s mental health issues is sensitively done. I’m always glad to see OCD - a widely misunderstood and misrepresented condition - being understood for the hell it is, too, so an extra star for that.

I didn’t always get on with the writing style, though. There are a lot of “She couldn’t believe what she saw next” type of cliffhanger chapter endings, and I felt this was overused to the point of becoming annoying. And maybe I’m just too cynical, but the shocking twist at the end of part one didn’t come as that much of a surprise.

A good read nevertheless which has clearly hit the mark for many people.

This is definitely Louise Jensen's best book in my opinion. The plot was so well thought out and one moment genuinely made me gasp out loud and I had to take a moment to reframe everything I thought I knew about the book! I really enjoyed all the twists and turns in the story and I liked seeing how the events impacted the three sisters differently.

My only issue is that because you know from the start that all the girls survive the abduction, you never really feel enough fear for them whilst they are being chased by the kidnappers because you know that they have to escape for the rest of the book to make sense. The author did explain why she wrote it that way though and I understand.

I would definitely recommend this book - it's a proper page turner.

Wow! What a book this is!
From the very beginning this book just doesn’t let up. I felt like as soon as you were on the journey with the Sinclair Sisters, that was it, you weren’t getting off.
The pace of this book is definitely high speed which is exactly how I like my books. It felt like there was something constantly about to happen and other things going on alongside the main story which completely threw me off the scent of how the girls came to be stolen.
The characters, I really bonded with and really cared what was happening to them. Due to this, without me giving spoilers, I would say I spent Chapter 80 onwards in tears and feeling very emotional. Those who have read it will know what I mean by Chapter 80.
What the Sinclair Sisters have to overcome really touched my heart, especially the very touching scenes between Leah and Carly at a certain scene near the end of the book. Just so beautifully written.
Louise Jensen has captured everything I love in a book....suspense, tension, fast pace, great characters, brilliant storyline and also within this thriller she has emotionally broke me. The whole book is just written so brilliantly to capture all the elements I just adore!

It's taken me an hour or so to collect my thoughts enough to write this review and still the first thing I can think of to say is, "Wow!" Prepare for a cliché-ridden review because this one really does hit the spot in ways only clichés can describe. It's a twisty-turny, page turning, high-octane adrenaline rush of a read and showcases established thriller writer Jensen at her devious and twisted best.

Chapters are narrated by switching points of view, each one ending in a way that makes you say, "Just one more chapter..." until suddenly you find you're finished and you're left wondering how any book you read next can even hope to follow it. I'm usually pretty good at spotting a twist coming but Jensen has always had the ability to shock me and this book is no exception, with revelation after revelation leaving me wide-eyed, slack-jawed and desperate for more.

It's rare I give a book 5 stars but I have absolutely no hesitation in doing so for The Stolen Sisters. Easily one of the most gripping books I've read this year, it goes straight into my top 5 reads of 2020. I can't recommend this one enough.

This is an absolutely wonderful book. Louise Jensen, master of the psychological thriller has done it again. It was difficult to put this book down once you had started reading it. The way Louise writes is brilliant. The ends of the chapters make you want to read on, and as the chapters were set on different timescales, that meant read on every two chapters, not just the next one.

The book reads quickly, as the reader is challenged to find out what happens next. The three Sullivan sisters are abducted and the story describes what happened and eventually you find out why. I loved the way that you knew the girls escaped from their abduction straight away, then you read the effect of what had happened to each character. This in no way detracted from the shocks or surprises, twists and turns, as you found out what had happened to each girl slowly and with incredible care.

I loved the three sisters and couldn’t choose a favourite. All their characters were rounded and believable. I despised their parents. It was really interesting to find out what each child had gone through, at the same time as learning how this had affected them in adult life. I can’t remember reading another book like it. I thought that the suspense and the trauma throughout the book was almost tangible.

I tried to guess what was happening, or had happened throughout the book, but I was consistently wrong. I didn’t come close. Louise keeps the readers in the palm of her hand as she weaves the story around the main characters.

I have loved all of Louise’s books, but without doubt, this is her very best. It is difficult to describe the book without giving away any spoilers and I would hate to spoil this book for anyone. When you read it, you will know that it is the very best that psychological fiction has to offer.

The Stolen Sisters is probably the best book Louise Jensen has written in my opinion . I couldn't help but get pulled in to the sisters story. There were some shocks and out loud 'no' moments. I definitely recommend this book

This book kept me guessing. Every time you think you have it figured out, the story takes you a totally opposite way. Lots of shocking secrets in this book. Good suspense, kept my attention. can't wait for the next one!

When you recieve a new book Louise Jensen you just know that it is going to be a book crafted by the most amazing and unpredictable twists.

But nevertheless less I still tried to guess what was going to happen throughout. What a waste of time that was. I didnt even come close to guessing one of them breath-taking changes of direction.

At one point I actually gasped out loud, nearly dropped my kindle in the bath and had to put the book down.

The is Louise's best book yet. Absolutely adored it and just couldnt stop reading. There were so many way this book could have gone. I even cried at one point. So many different emotions running around my head. But I dont think she could have ended this book any other way. It was just perfect.

I cant wait for the next one!

Louise is an incredibly skilful writer. Her books just get better and better! I think this is her best, a clever, and intricately woven story that keeps you guessing. I absolutely loved it

I’m not sure where to start with this review because I’m pretty sure my words won’t properly portray how bloody fabulous this book was!

Louise Jensen is the most phenomenal psychological thriller writer I’ve had the pleasure to read and this novel is a great example of everything you want this genre to be.

The storyline was complex, with duel timelines that interwove through the lives of The Sinclair Sisters.

After reading each of the narratives I was thrown into their lives as children; willing them to be safe, then as adults as they try to rebuild their lives with the threat of an anniversary looming and every year shaping them each in different ways.

Each sister has their own demons they have to bear after the day they went missing. These events have changed each of them so differently and those realisations are shocking!

I was rooting for them throughout but what I wasn’t expecting was the various ways Jensen flipped their stories! To create such a masterpiece in a nov, that was seamless, the revaluations that unfolded and an ending that was just so perfect, I’m speechless to her talent.

I’m not sure Louise Jensen can top this exceptionally well written and thought out novel. She certainly has got her work cut out for book seven because this book just went straight to the top of my list as best book of 2020!

Wow! Just wow. This is not my first Louise Jenson book, and i knew before starting it that i wouldnt be disappointed, and i was right! The stolen sisters had me hooked from page one. I think i spent alot of the book holding my breath in anticipation for what was coming next. The story is of three sisters who are 'stolen'. The story goes between then and now, explaining what happened and what had lead the sisters to lead the lives they now have. There was a massive twist that im going to admit that i did not see coming!! I pretty much couldnt put this down, because i needed to see what was going to happen next. A massive 5 stars for this brilliant story by the equally brilliant Louise Jenson. I 100% recommend this book because you will not be disappointed.
