I really enjoy Portia’s books and this one didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed Sadie’s character with her working relationship with Damien, and I didn’t expect the twist towards the end which I’m not going to give away! I didn’t quite understand the Mackie part of the book, not sure if this was necessary. And the ending did feel a bit rushed, I would have liked a little more reveal what happened afterwards. It was like Christmas happened, then 14th Feb and all was hunky dory. I would have liked a bit more of a story in this time. But it won’t deter me from reading another of Portia’s books. Thank you for accepting my request.

Sadie is the PA of Damian Banks, famous portrait photographer. Hence her life revolves around his whims and she has no time for friendships or love. Except, she has a sticky-notes penpal-friendship with her desk-buddy Adam, whom she can confide in.

With Christmas around the corner, and a new year coming up, Sadie wants to make more time for herself. Can she invite Adam out for a drink? Can she leave the demanding Damian for a new job? Or will she re-ignite the flame that once burned between her and her high-school boyfriend Brian?

The romance was very predictable and the major plot twist probably just came as a surprise for the female lead. Strange that the otherwise intelligent woman didn't catch on to it sooner.

There was a lot of build-up about Mackie, a person Damian takes photos of, at the beginning of the story and I would have liked to see this rounded up; a snippet from a newspaper towards the end of the book would have been nice. It felt like a story line that was dropped half-way to its conclusion for the sake of the romantic Christmas plot.

I got stuck on this book about 45% in. Cute enough in theory but it just didn’t hold my attention. I tried to make myself finish it by putting it down and coming back to it but I just couldn’t muster any more enthusiasm for it.

Stuck On You was a nice, feel good story.

Damian is a famous photographer and a very demanding employer and Sadie, his assistant, receives his every request, even the most strange and extravagant. She's looking forward to the Christmas holidays to put miles between her and her boss, until Damian ruins her plans inviting himself to spend Christmas with her and her family. Will the holidays be a nightmare as Sadie expect or will Damian redeem himself giving her the best time of her life?

I enjoyed to follow Sadie and Damian in this journey. Damian is a surprising character, I've been intrigued with his development and his grown version made me swoon. Sadie is lovable and I want to be her friend.

Portia MacIntosh words are easy to read, the storyline is predivtable but still amusing and enjoyable. I can always relate to the characters' age and pop references, I had a BLUE phase too.

If you're looking for a quick holiday story this is the right choice for you.

A cute well written story that I enjoyed reading. Sadie and famous artist Damian Banks her boss' story and everything they go through, it all starts with a Post-it-note message from someone called Adam. This is a new Author to me, I will be looking for more by her.

Stuc k on You is my first book by the author and won’t be my last for sure. It’s was full of fun moments and interesting, reliable characters, with that close family and friends feelings that many of us may just dream of but a heartwarming story overall.

This was great fun to read. I loved Sadie! I loved her voice and her humour, and there were some moments in this book that had me chuckling out loud. Not only that, but there was a lovely twist towards the end, too.

5 stars out of 5 for me for this book!!! I don't give a 5 stars to a book easily but this one definitely deserves it!!! Oh wow, I loved reading this book so much!!!! It's such a unique book with such a different plot. Never seen one like that before and i read a LOT of chicklit books before. So it was a nice change and the romance in this book is just incredible!!!!! I totally recommand this book! You will love it! It's a page turner and it's a perfect Christmas read!

The romance was just okay, but I did really enjoy the Christmas elements. The family went all out with a week of celebrations that included a friendly contest to see who could deliver the most Christma cards, going to the cinema to watch It's a Wonderful Life in their pajamas, and visiting a village all dressed like Charles Dickens characters. A light, fluffy book celebrating the joys of Christmas and family.

It's not often that I come across a book that truly grabs me from the first scene. Stuck On You, though, did exactly that - if anything, the opening scene was described so vividly, that I had the impression I was reading a movie. That feeling came back quite often, whether it be through the almost fairy-like description of Sadie's home town or some of the quotes that were so sassy, or so relatable that I had to go back and reread them. Sometimes Stuck On You went plain old meta - referring to itself exactly as that: almost a movie. Throughout all that, though, it's the friendship between Sadie and her boss, Damian, that wouldn't let me go. Both of these characters were so relatable, likeable, occasionally flawed... But ultimately: so good for each other. The only downside? The ending felt a bit rushed, and honestly was weaker than the first 97% of the book. Although, again: that might just be because I wasn't ready to let go of the story and its characters.

I've never met a Portia MacIntosh book I didn't like, and this is yet another stormer.

I will admit to having some kind of inkling what would happen by about 40pc in, but the journey was still a lovely read. I loved Sadie, her family, and the little area of Yorkshire she grew up in.

The Christmas traditions in Sadie's hometown were a particular highlight for me. I'm not sure if Dickins Day is my thing, but the Christmas Eve film tradition is something I would absolutely love to steal.

Damian took a LOT for me to warm to him. He's not portrayed in a positive light AT ALL at the beginning of this book, and I'm sure this was done specifically to make us warm more to Sadie. Mission accomplished.

This was such an enjoyable book. Especially for me, someone who is involved in the art world and knows what it can be like. There was a good old will they/won't they tug of war, enough twists and turns to keep me on my toes, and a very satisfying ending. I could happily read it all over again.

Portia Macintosh is a brilliant writer that left me in such a great mood days after reading this book which I could not put down. I was swooning, laughing and enjoying this fun read.

Stuck On You was not only a heartwarming, fun, sexy, and a romantic read, but it was also so adorable and so creative. Macintosh wrote such amazing characters in this story - I loved each one of them from Sadie to Adam and Damien, their meet cute through post-it notes, and the whole cast of characters - they were absolutely endearing and so enjoyable to read. This book was so well written and the plot so amazing.

This book had me longing for a British Christmas holiday which was a great escape from the heat and fires here in California.

I highly recommend this book for a fabulous rom-com with a fun twist you will love and swoon over.

A wonderful, funny, feel good book. Read it in a day, didn’t want to put it down as I wanted to know what Sadie’s boss expected to do next and how her friendship with Mr post it note progresses

I thoroughly enjoyed this light, amusing romcom which sped by. Sadie and her family are completely likeable and there is a great contrast between her life in London and back home. Christmas with her family has a heart-warming and welcoming feel and all the festive activities bring a smile to your face. There are some genuinely funny moments and sparky dialogue between the characters and you really feel you know them.
In both Sadie and Damien, you can see a degree of character development in the story which is completely credible. The more you find out about Damien's family, in particular, the more you understand him. However, as you learn, not everything can be taken at face value. Indeed, Damien is a little hard to size up at first but you get a hunch about him and it is quite amusing to see the story pan out. With some surprises and a will they, won't they plot, it is a lovely, festive read.
In short: Christmas cheer and lots of romance.
Thanks to the publisher for a copy of the book

(I don’t know how to write a review for this one without giving away a few things)

I really enjoyed reading Sadie’s story and seeing her get closer to Damian over the holidays. She’s got such a fun personality that it is very easy to like her. She’s struggling a little in her job – it’s unfulfilling and not what she is looking for long term but when she gets the chance at something different, will she take it? How will it impact her flirty relationship with her deskmate? And how will she handle spending Christmas with her boss knowing that she’s quitting her job?

Sadie’s family and the community’s Christmas celebrations are just the absolute best. They are so quirky and lovable and have me ready to move so I can be adopted by them ASAP. The way they open their home and embrace Damian is wonderful and it allows him to set aside some of his worries, to relax and reconnect with himself. And to develop a deeper relationship with Sadie. Maybe address a few things that need to be put to rest so everyone can find a happy place.

As much as I liked the characters and the majority of the book, I have to be honest that I didn’t love (or understand) the first third or so of this book. I don’t know if it was there to give us a feeling for Damian and his relationship to Sadie, but it felt kinda unnecessary. Once they agree to spend the holidays together in her hometown, though, things definitely take a turn towards the awesome. There’s humor and feels and enough holiday magic to make you smile.
