A cute, cosy and quick read. The families were adorable. Nice slice of life perspective. The romance was cute and the writing flowed nicely. One complaint would be the title isn’t the best choice.

This is a laugh out loud, traditional but not even close to boring, romcom that should be handed out to every romcom lover. Who knew a post it could hold such weight in how jobs are done, communication is handled, and dates are made. RUN don’t walk to buy this book!

I’m going to start by saying I absolutely loved this book. As a fan of the author I’ve read a fair few now and this is probably my favourite. I couldn’t put it down. So entertaining and fun, a perfect read to cosy up with an escape the outside world.

I love a book with something quirky to entertain us – the post it relationship between Sadie and Adam is that perfect something. Mystery and the hint of a blind date style romance is really entertaining, I looked forward to the next Adam note, although I had suspicions about him and did wonder what would happen if the two were to actually meet.

Sadie is such a lovely character and I warmed to her straight away. Her boss, Damian sounds like a nightmare to work for, at first I really wasn’t sure what to expect from him or if I would warm to him. I’m really pleased that by the end my thoughts on him were completely different and I was a fan of his.

A real turning point is when Sadie and Damian go to her family home for Christmas. Its so cosy and fun sounding, I wish my Christmas entailed all the fun and merriment they have in that community. We see a definite change in the relationship between the characters during this time and see that actually what Sadie needs is in front of her.

I can’t recommend enough, wonderful cosy, heart warming moments, gorgeous characters and a real festive feel.

The Blurb :
Could a post-it note really lead to love...?
Sadie doesn't have time for finding love. She's too busy as PA for famous artist Damian Banks. When she's not arranging exhibitions, she's organising his dry cleaning or dumping his never ending stream of girlfriends.
But when she strikes up an unusual friendship with her desk share buddy, she finds a confidante and a new potential love interest. Problem is, they've never actually met...
With Christmas just around the corner, can Sadie put herself first for a change and find what she's been looking for all along?

My Thoughts :
Never one to turn down one of Portia MacIntosh’s books. This once again was a winner with me.
We meet Sadie, who works part tine for top photographer Damian Banks. Her job is not all honey when she is treated as someone who does his dirty work more than an employee.
The bonus part of her job is sharing the job and desk with Adam, who she has never met but have a great time exchanging post it notes. But things arent as they seem.
When Sadie ends up with her boss over Christmas at her parents house in Hope Island, she has a change of heart and starts to see the real Damian Banks.
Will there be a Christmas Romance in the cards or will Sadie be glad to see the back of her boss.
Author Portia, has a way to draw the reader into her stories, and Stuck On You was no exception.
I loved Sadie and Damien as charactors, and we are left guessing throughout, with a twist that I saw coming.
A real joy from start to finish, this book is heartwarming and festive, with lots of funny parts to be had that will have you in the mood for Christmas to come. Can not wait for her next book.

This was a fun, sweet romance read which I really enjoyed.

The story is about Sadie who works as PA for Damian and who desk shares with Zack. I must say that I loved the post-it's back and forth between. I was very quickly hooked in to the story. I did kind of guess the plot fairly early into the story but that didn't spoil the read for me. It had a good pace and I found it to be a quick read. I got hooked into in the garden sunshine.

Fans of Flat-share will love this as this had very similar vibes with a christmas twist added in.

5☆ A Witty, Entertaining and Heartwarming must read!

I am always super excited when Portia MacIntosh has a new book out, and Stuck On You was everything I come to expect from her, there was plenty of romance, humour, brilliant witty characters, and a heart warming and highly Entertaining storyline that I couldn't put down!

Sadie works for Damian Banks, (famous artist) as his personal assistant, and you can't get any more personal than being the one to break up with Damian's Flings.... because that's exactly what he gets her to do!

Luckily for Sadie she only works part time as the rest of the time she shares her shifts and a desk with Adam who she has never met, but they share a special bond together via post it notes.

Although they have never met, Sadie can't help thinking how amazing Adam is.
As far as she knows his single....so why not take a risk and let Adam know just how special he is too her.
Can Sadie take a risk on love and sort her own love life out for a change, instead of organising Damian's!

My overview don't give much away, but believe me this book is absolutely brilliant!
The characters are superbly written.
It had me giggling out loud, smiling, swooning and kept me entertained and intrigued the whole way through.
Once again Portia has written an absolute Gem that I can't recommend enough.
Definitely one of my top books this year.

What a cute novel, that I started reading with totally different expectations - considering what the blurb says. I took me about half the book until I started to figure it out. But I like being surprised by a book (or actually by the author). And I changed my mind about one character in particular while the story progressed.

I also didn't know that Christmas would feature so prominently in the story, but I actually loved this part that takes place in Sadies hometown, it sounded like a perfect family Christmas.

Last but not least - the cover is simply gorgeous!

This book was such a lovely surprise. I liked Sadie from page one, and then the story just keeps building and I liked it more and more, until I couldn't stop grinning by the end. If Sadie is the character you will like form start to finish, Damian is the one that grows on you as his layers are revealed. I was needing a feel good book these days, and Stuck on You was just perfect with all its charm, funny moments, relatable families and two adorable main characters.

Fabulous and great fun
Sadie is an assistant to famous photographer Damian Banks and it’s not quite the job she expected, she is more dogsbody than anything else. When she discovers that Damian is going to be alone at Christmas he asks if he can come home with her and celebrate with her family which she reluctantly agrees to, especially as she has a new job and isn’t sure of when to hand in her notice
I liked Sadie as a character, she is aware of what she wants and who she is as a person. She adores her family and they have some very strange Christmas traditions which seem like great fun! But at the same time she is carrying on a part relationship with Adam, the person who shares her desk, via post it notes, she had never met him but it annoys me that she asks him out but then as soon as she is home and spending more normal time with Damian she forgets all about Adam which felt odd to me and a bit out of character
I would have loved to have heard some of the story if not a whole version from Damian’s point of view as I think that would help make things clearer and would have made me love him as a character much earlier on
I will admit that the ending, before the final chapter, felt a bit rushed and didn’t fully answer questions that I had and didn’t flow as well as the rest of the book. Despite this, it is a great fun book to read that had me hooked and I couldn’t put it down, I really wanted to know what happened next
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a festive romance with a lot of fun and a story that will worm its way into your heart

Portia Macintosh is back with a smart, funny and delightful new romantic comedy that is ideal for curling up with as the nights begin to draw in: Stuck on You.

For PA Sadie, romance is certainly not on the cards. With her very demanding job working for artist Damian Banks, Sadie is far too busy organising exhibitions, putting out fires and dumping a never-ending array of girlfriends for her boss to even think about dating, let alone actually go out on a real date. Sadie has certainly got her hands full working for her famous boss and she doesn’t even think about romance or falling in love, but could her happy ending be right under her nose?

In between sorting out Damian’s dry-cleaning and juggling his diary, Sadie strikes up a friendship with her desk share buddy. Although the two of them have never even met, the two begin to share jokes and confidences and Sadie quickly realises that she might just have found herself falling in love with her colleague – even if she doesn’t know what her potential love interest looks like! Sadie knows that it’s irrational to fall in love with someone you’ve never even seen, but the more she gets to know him, the more she realises that she could well have found the one person who gets her and who is totally right for her.

With Christmas fast approaching, will Sadie finally stop putting herself last and take a chance on the love of a lifetime? Will she find the courage to go after what she truly wants? Or will she continue to hold herself back and risk losing the love of a lifetime for good?

Portia Macintosh’s Stuck on You is a fun, uplifting and brilliantly romantic read from a writer who never fails to pen sparkling, scintillating and hilarious rom-coms. A delightful tale that will go down a treat with fans of cinematic classics like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, Stuck on You is a witty, warm-hearted and wonderful read that had me laughing out loud and cheered up a dark and dismal day – something many of us are going through with all the horrible things going on in the world at the moment.

Portia Macintosh’s books are always a joy to read and her latest novel, Stuck on You, is sure to entertain her ever-growing fanbase and win her scores of new admirers.

This is a portion of the review on my blog Trails of Tales

......Stuck on You makes you believe that love always finds a way to come to you. And that it can approach you in the most unexpected and silent of ways. Portia Macintosh has given her readers a love story that reminds them that the innocence of love is still alive in this fast paced, loud world.

Stuck on You is a book that reels you in at the very beginning. I had a smile on my face as soon as I started reading the story. That is always an excellent symptom of book love.

Additionally, the story focuses on an extremely important aspect. Although it is a love story, Stuck on You still emphasizes the need to put yourself first. You can let your inner self thrive as well as find a loving relationship. It does NOT have to be one or the other......

Stuck On You by Portia MacIntosh is a fun romantic comedy, that I really enjoyed. I found this book to be funny, and perfect for a lighthearted escape from the real world. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I strongly recommend this book.

Fun, feel good, and festive. Portia MacIntosh has fast become an auto read Author for me. She writes charming romcoms filled with colorful characters, witty banter, and sweet moments. Sadie works for famous photographer Damien Banks as his assistant. Her job requires her to purchase Christmas presents, break up with girlfriends, fetch coffee, and various other menial tasks. And I can’t forget spending a weekend with a wife killer. The only good part of her job is her post it note relationship with a coworker who shares her desk on the days she’s not there. SO how is it that after Sadie gets her new dream job she ends up bringing boss Damian home for Christmas?

So much fun! Sadie and Damien work wonderful characters who I absolutely adored. OK well truth be told I didn’t love Damien from the beginning but I thought that was part of the charm of the story. Just like he did Sadie, Damien grew on me throughout the book. Love spending time with Damian, Sadie, her family, and their five days of Christmas. Seriously how can you not fall in love with a guy who will wear elf ears for your family, race around delivering Christmas cards with you, wear his pajamas to the movies, and remember your favorite childhood game. I just loved absolutely everything about this book!

I have been a fan of Portia’s books for a while now. Whilst I haven’t quite caught up with every single book that she has written, I am getting there. Portia’s latest book is called ‘Stuck On You’ and it was released on 17th September 2020. I really enjoyed reading ‘Stuck On You’ but more about that in a bit.
I loved the main character of Sadie. She works as a personal assistant (more like a slave) to a famous photographer and to say that she gets all the crappy jobs is an understatement. One such example is the fact that he often sends her along to meet his girlfriends, so she can tell them that their relationship is over. I mean what kind of person does that apart from a total numpty? Sadie works hard and she is often called upon to do some weird and wonderful errands. I won’t go too far into details as that might spoil the story but needless to say that her errands often lead to some pretty amusing misunderstandings. Sadie isn’t really that keen on her job (I really don’t blame her) but the bright spot in her working life is the fact that she desk shares with a nice sounding chap and they develop a friendship through leaving little post it notes for each other. They work opposite days so they don’t meet. Sadie is a bit fed up with her life- she doesn’t have much free time, she doesn’t have many friends, she doesn’t like her job and she hasn’t had a relationship for a while. Something has to change. What happens? Well for the answer to that question and so much more you are just going to have to read the book for yourselves to find out as I am not going to tell you.
It took me a little while to get into this story but once I got into it then that was it. The story was a little slower to get going than I thought but get going it did. I found ‘Stuck On You’ to be an addictive, fun, and light hearted read. I would pick the book up not intending to read for long, but I would become so wrapped up in the story that I read for a lot longer than I had intended. I think part of the attraction of the story for me, was the fact that the lead character, Sadie, was just so likeable. I had to know how the story concluded and those pages just kept turning at a fair old speed. All too quickly I reached the end of the story and I had to say ‘goodbye’ to Sadie.
‘Stuck On You’ is well written but then I have found that to be true of all of Portia’s books that I have had the pleasure of reading and reviewing. She creates such realistic characters that they jump off the page and spring to life as it were. The characters in this book seemed to be just as real as you and I. I find Portia’s books to be riveting reads and she also has the knack of making me feel as though I am part of the story. I became far too involved with certain characters and if I could have leapt inside the pages to give my ten pennorth then I would have done. This book was certainly amusing and I chuckled out loud on several occasions during the story.
In short, I did enjoy reading ‘Stuck On You’ and I would have no hesitation in recommending this book to other readers. I will definitely be reading more of Portia’s work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well done 4* out of 5*.

Another lovely story from Portia MacIntosh.

Sadie has a horrible boss, that can't seem to be able to do anything for himself. She bonds with a coworker she's never met over post-it notes left in the drawer of the desk they share.

Then Sadie lands herself another job and the day she wants to hand in her notice, her boss invites himself to spend Christmas with her and her family. Would be totally weird (is probably totally weird), but Damian turns out to be a nicely adjusted human being, if he makes a bit of an effort.

So this story is told over 38 Chapters and is all about Sadie who is a PA for a famous artist. This book is 100% brilliant, there is probably not enough words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. It is the first book that I have read that actually talks to the reader. I mean Sadie literally asks the reader questions. Obviously you don't have to respond, though if you do respond I would recommend doing it when you are at home. This particular piece of the book is unique and helps this story stand out from others you have read.
This story has a very strong start and instantly grips the readers attention. You stay in Sadie's point of view for the entire story and find along the way that this book has a surprising twist, that's all I will say because this is a no spoiler zone.
This book is full of on point descriptions and great character interactions. The story itself is intriguing as it keeps the reader wondering about Sadie's life as well as her desk sharing buddy.
Overall I adored this book right from the first word all the way to the last word. It is a great read and the more the reader get's into the book the more they will want to read this. It will keep the reader intrigued until the very last word.

With a demanding boss who doesn’t seem to realise she has a life outside of work, Sadie is becoming increasingly frustrated by her boss, Damien. The only solace is her post-it note conversations with Adam who covers when Damien isn’t working, which unfortunately is when Sadie isn’t in the office. Sadie is convinced they would be a good match and has fantastic post-it note conversations with him. Should she be looking for a new career where she isn’t taken for granted?

This was such a lovely Christmas story that has definitely put me in the mood for some festive romance! With gorgeous writing and realistic characters, Portia MacIntosh makes you relate to the characters and root for them throughout. She has a talent for giving the characters fantastic growth and development and some characters aren’t all that they seem.

Sadie’s Yorkshire home was one of my favourite parts of the story. Her family and village certainly pull all of the stops for Christmas. It reminded me of visiting a village where I grew up that competed for the most festive garden and raised money for charity whilst doing so.

A charming book that you won’t want to end! Another fantastic romance by Portia MacIntosh.

Love, love, love this book!

When Sadie landed the role of assistant to the renowned photographer, Damian Banks, she truly believes this is the start of a career in art that she has always dreamed of. Sadly, this proves not to be the case. Being Damian’s assistant running personal errands and even shopping for Christmas gifts for his family! The secret post-it notes and chocolate from her desk share Adam is the only thing that keeps Sadie going. Sharing the frustrations of Damian as a boss and her desire for a new job with Adam helps keep Sadie sane.

As the story progresses, it becomes very obvious that Damian and Sadie are more than just work colleagues and we see the start of their friendship developing, especially when Damian asks Sadie if he can join her and her family for Christmas. This is where we start to see a huge change in Damian. He becomes kinder, more appreciative of everything Sadie does for him. As the reader, it is very clear to see that Damian has feelings for Sadie. And it looks as if Sadie feels the same after a kiss fuelled with chemistry.

WILL THEY OR WON’T THEY?

But, they are both hiding things from each other. Sadie hasn’t told Damian that she has a new dream job and she is leaving him. And Damian has probably the biggest secret he is hiding – Damian and Adam are the same person, meaning that he has been lying to Sadie from the very start. Can they both deal with the secrets each of them has been keeping?

Stuck on You is such a great, fun story, touching on the difficult subject of trust within a new relationship, but I think written and handled really well by Portia. The characters are so much fun and I really love that Sadie is such a strong character. I would defiantly recommend Stuck on You to anyone who is looking for a feel-good story full of fun, laughs, chemistry and ultimately achieving your dreams.

Adorable romance novel which I read in a day.
Anyone familiar with the genre could probably have guessed the little twist by halfway through but it doesn't detract from the story.

I especially loved spending Christmas in a little village town with quirky traditions.

Will be looking out for more titles from this author.

What I think?

This is a fun romantic comedy that is reminiscent of Flat Share (post it romance) and old school Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan rom-coms.

Sadie is a great narrator – I loved her chatty but personal style. Her life is firmly rooted in an alternative Covid-free 2020 with Tiger King on Netflix and Insta influencers promoting weightloss lollipops.

Sadie’s job as PA to superstar photographer, Damian Banks is proving to not be the dream job she thought it would be. She finds herself picking up his dry cleaning, buying his Christmas presents, including her own, and even breaking up with his girlfriends. Damian is a man-child who is incapable of making his own decisions and generally treats people poorly. The only thing that keeps her going is post-it notes and treats from her hot-desk buddy Adam who she has been sharing notes with all year. When the chance to work as a curator in a prestigious gallery comes up Sadie jumps at the chance.

What’s great about this book is the way that the characters, particularly Sadie and Damian, develop. Despite the misunderstandings and secrets along the way charming and relatable relationships emerge.

The festive highlight is definitely Sadie’s festive loving family which will make you want to start putting your own decorations up even though it’s only September!

This is a charming, feel-good festive romance with lots of humour that would be great to read while tucking into the chocolates this winter.

I was a part of the blog tour for this book. Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the copy in return for an honest review
