Cosy, and fun.

If you enjoy the genre of book and are looking to a Christmas themed read then this one may be for you. Although at times predictable its still a fun read and allows the reader to escape into a world of privilege and money but not necessarily happiness.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers I received the audio version of this to review in exchange for a honest review, The audio version received was narrated by the author herself, Georgia Toffolo, who has a very 'posh' English accent. Being English myself this did not bother, me but I could see people that are not used to the accent finding the story difficult to follow at time.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was nothing extremely special, and it was very predictable but it made me feel so warm and cosy while reading. A romantic, light hearted chick lit, with some heart wrenching topics.

Despite being predictable, I liked the storyline and I fell in love with the characters.

I would consider buying this book once released to reread myself one day or as a gift.

My only downside with the audiobook - I would have preferred if it was read by multiple people or different voices were used, particularly during a conversation as I found I got a bit lost at who was talking.

My first Christmassy Book this season and I really enjoyed it. The added bonus was it been narrated by the author herself who could give it added depth of how she wanted the book to come over.

A true romantic Chic lit which I'm sure will be a best seller.

This book was lovely. My first Christmassy book for the year. I enjoyed the storyline, I liked the main and supporting characters. I loved that Victoria was an aspiring fashion designer and that she taught underprivileged teens fashion. I liked that it was romance with a good story line with some real life issues.

I think contemporary romance fans would absolutely love this book.
At first I thought I'd rather the audiobook was read by a more seasoned narrator, but I do also enjoy when the author narrates their own stories and I think her accent adds an extra essence to the story.

Having read the book and loved it for the escapism it offers , the Meet Me in London audio book takes it up to another level. Read by the author,Georgia Toffolo which is a lovely touch, the audiobook is an easy and pleasant listen. Perfect to listen to while commuting to work, sat by a roaring fire with a cup curled up on the sofa or in the bath with candles all around and a glass of wine, letting it's gentle and easy pace help you to escape to, drift off and forget the world and become caught up in the story.

This is such a cute story and one I really enjoyed listening to.

Victoria and oliver meet and because Oliver's family are putting pressure on him to settle down he asks Victoria if she would be his pretend fiance to get them off his back. But spending so much time together and with his family it becomes difficult to give each other up.

Really loved the story but I feel I can't give this a full five stars as the narration wasnt to my liking. Its read by Georgia herself but it seems to be read so so slowly that I started guessing the next word in the sentence! Putting the narration at 2x the speed fixed this problem and it was lovely!

I couldn't stop listening and had it finished in a few hours!

Victoria Scott only works in a bar during the day time to help finance her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Her evenings are spent designing vintage clothes and dreaming of the day she’ll own her own boutique. But those plans are in jeopardy when plans for a big department store on her block are unveiled. Enter Oliver Russell, who’s in charge of opening his family’s new store. He’s not a happy camper, Christmas is coming and the store opening is delayed, plus his mother wants to meet his girlfriend, and he doesn’t have one. When Oliver meets Victoria, he comes up with a plan – she will pose as his girlfriend and he’ll showcase her designs at the store. Readers can imagine what happens next and the narrator of this book does a quirky, feel good rendition of the story that will leave a smile on the face 0f every listener

Audiobooks are something I've only recently gotten into so the idea of the author reading it seemed pretty cool to me and with this sort of plot this book had to be fun, right?

Yeah, sadly I didn't enjoy it.

This book was an easy listen at least. There weren't a huge amount of chapters so I was able to listen to it in a day. But I didn't really enjoy it. I didn't care for Oliver as a character and how majorly attracted they were to eachother straight away was kind of an eye roll for me.

I am glad I gave this a go but in the end it wasn't for me.
