Forgetting You by L.A. Casey a tail of two halves. I have struggled with figuring a rating for this story as for the first third at least, I struggled to read, it wasn’t bad it just didn’t grip me all the time, some parts were great and then other chunks just could have been pulled to make a better story. I was frustrated as I was left wondering if the author was American writing a story set in London, or just trying to appease an American audience, but it only happened at first, once the author got into their stride it became five-stars all the way. I had not read the author previously but after the strength of the latter part of the story I will definitely be picking them up again. Noah Ainsley was great, you could feel her confusion and heart break, when she realises that she doesn’t remember her recent life, how bereft she feels when she doesn’t understand what led to the decisions she made, when she doesn’t remember her own husband, who she knows she should love an not the man she is actually in love with. Elliot is just like a warm hug he made me feel safe reading the story, if there was every something meant to be it was him. Do pick this story up, as it could have been me just not getting into it, and if you do struggle at the start keep going as I promise you it gets so much better, it became a story I wont easily forget.
When I read synopsis about Forgetting You I was hocked.
Ot goes like this:
When Noah Ainsley wakes up in a hospital room with no recollection of how she got there, all she knows is that she needs to see Elliot, the love of her life. Then she learns the horrifying truth: her short-term memory has been destroyed by a car accident . She and Elliot broke up five years ago. And now she’s married to Anderson, a man she doesn’t even recognise.
In an instant Noah’s world is turned on its head. All she wants is Elliot by her side, but it’s clear Anderson is hurt by her rejection. Can she really have fallen in love with this stranger? Nothing makes sense—and when even Elliot refuses to answer her questions, Noah is left feeling all alone.
But as her memories slowly return, Noah begins to wonder if she’s been wrong to shut Anderson out—and wrong to put all her trust in Elliot. The ex she loves and the husband she doesn’t remember hold the keys to her past. And when the truth is finally revealed, which future will Noah’s heart choose?
... So if you saw the movie the Vow or read that book, and you liked it this book is 100% for you
I loved reading about Noah and Elliot relationship as a flashback.
They are made for one another. But what I don't get in this book is the break up. After 7 years of relationship and with all that love, his panic was a stupid reason to end it all.
... And after that we found that she was depressed, and so hurt that she finds another guy in minutes and goes to live with him.
.... And he isn't the best guy. He is manipulative, he abuses her mentally and physically. And because of the and because she is ashamed of that she cuts her parents and all she loves from her life. Yes, that can happen, but I don't get it how can just leave from Elliot like that. The reason is not that great that is a breaking point.
Yes, he cheating, he leaving, he something other then saying after million times yes to marriage, he said it no for now because his parents are getting a divorce. And he panicked.
And that is the end of them, after 7 years...
So what to say more than this could be so much better, it is ok, but not the best...
3 stars....
It's okay.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.

This was like watching over-dramatic Lifetime movie.

I've been a fan of LA Casey for a while so I was always going to buy this book. She has a way of drawing you into the story, the way she writes grips you from the start.
Noahs tale has you wondering from the beginning why her life has turned out this way. Some authors focus too much on the main characters, I love the way LA Casey draws you into each and every character's traits and personalities. I'm probably waffling in this review but it was just SO good.
My favourite book of this author was always Until Harry, until I read Her Lifeline. I now think Forgetting You has just knocked them both off the top spot! Total 5 star!
What an amazing story, I a big fan of Lee's and when I saw this was up on NetGalley I was so excited and when I saw I got a copy I did a happy dance, WHat to say about this book without giving too much away, Noah and Elliot were great characters and I really enjoyed reading about them and their story was a hard one but lee wrote it so well I felt part of the story with them. I felt all the up and downs and so glad I got to read this, it's such a great book.
Wow! What an unbelievable story, LA Casey has an uncanny ability to create stories that capture you at chapter one! And Forgetting You, did just that, Elliott and Noah have the kind of love that withstand the test of time. Forgetting You had me reeling with emotions, something that had me hooked that I couldn’t stop reading until the end. Such an amazing storyline, I loved it and highly recommend reading.
I really liked the character building and the relationship progressing through the novel. It was perhaps a bit slow at certain points, but entertaining enough to keep going. I would ultimately recommend this to a fan of simply good ya romance.
