Greenwich Park tells the story of three siblings and their partners. Helen and sister-in-law Serena are pregnant and both couples book to go on the same NCT course together. However Helen, who is married to Daniel, finds herself going alone and meets another mum-to-be Rachel. Rachel takes it upon herself to befriend Helen as she wheedles her way into their lives.
The book is written from the perspective of Helen, husband Daniel, brother Rory, his wife Serena and there are odd chapters from brother Charlie and his girlfriend, journalist Kate.
The plot is wonderfully written with twists and turns – although it was quite similar to a book I read last year based on two women becoming friends at an ante natal class, however, although the subject was the same, the outcome was different and very gripping. I found myself staying up until very late as I wanted to know the outcome, and the very last line of the book made me smile.
The characters are realistic – I felt quite sorry for Helen, she appeared very vulnerable and childlike, having experienced such loss in her life, she was quite naïve. Serena on the other hand was completely different, she knew what she wanted from life, and lived the perfect life. Rachel was a complete cow and I thought she was going to be weird from the start!!
I have wanted to read this book for ages, as I went to school just across the road from Greenwich Park, and I have to say the descriptions of the park and surrounding areas took me down memory lane.
A wonderful thriller which will grab you at the beginning and keep you enthralled right until the last sentence.

Utterly addictive and wonderfully entertaining; I did not want to stop reading this book.
Cleverly weaving a prominent news story, past events and three siblings (and their partners) who's lives are disrupted when the enigma that is Rachel enters their lives. I was absolutely gripped as I was introduced to each of the characters, and intrigued by all the little clues and red herrings that were deftly woven into the plot. There were plenty of twists to keep me on my toes and the ending was wonderfully satisfying.
My thanks go to the publishers and Net Galley for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this , lots of suspicion, good handful of characters all quite dubious and no clear answer .I did get the idea and enjoyed this as what is is ,a good mystery ! The characters are all flawed and some are down right cold ,I liked this and u do empathise a lot with two characters and understand someones motives .The rest not so much
Three stars .
will be interested in the next novel by the author for sure

This book was incredible and wonderfully gripping, its the sort of book that you just won't be able to put down, even if you want to. Our story is set in London and follows the lives of two families with perfect lives but it's not all as it seems, with perfect lives comes secrets and lies.
I'm not going to go into detail and discuss the ins and outs of the book because it's far too delicious to share with readers who haven't yet read this book.
However, the characters were all wonderfully catty in their own way, the POV writing style was quite refreshing as there was more than two point of views to relate to, its been a while since I've read one with so many POVS. Katherine Faulkner writes a really intriguing novel with a plot line with twists and turns, some are a bit predictable and others aren't.
Only bug bear was that the first part of the book was a bit drawn out and slow, this bit might have been better half way through the book for build up, but on the beginning, it was slow and could have been make or break for me when getting into a book, luckily, I enjoyed it and was gripped through the storyline and the blurb.
With thanks to the publisher, author and netgalley for this free ARC in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

Struggled with this book to be honest - felt it was very slow although it did pick up towards the end. The story is told from several characters’ points of view and I didn’t find any of them particularly likeable.
Thanks to Netgalley, Bloomsbury Publishing and Katherine Faulkner for the ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

Such a clever, brilliant and twisty thriller. So engrossing. It also made me very nostalgic for beautiful Greenwich.

This was my first read of 2021 and what a way to start. I love to discover a new author and the blurb for this book really appealed to me. Just the name drew me in originally having lived just outside Greenwich when I was doing my degree 20 years ago. I loved all the references to the park, the pubs, the market etc as it reminded me of some great years of my life.
Helen is expecting her first child with husband Daniel after years of trying to have a sucessful pregnancy. Even better her sister in law and brother are expecting at the same time. The four have grown up so so closely since all all meeting at university so this is sure to be a brilliant period of their lives. Enter Rachel, who Helen meets at her first antenatal class. She is expecting her first baby alone and latches onto Helen from the first day. Sonn Rachel is appearing everywhere and her story doesn't quite add up. I read this book in three days and was totally gripped. Just brilliant. Five stars all the way from me.

Greenwich Park is an absolutely perfect thriller! Masterfully plotted and with such palpable, page-turning suspense. I couldn’t put it down. A gripping must-read with brilliant, shocking twists.

Thanks netgalley and Katherine Faulkner for this great read.
On starting this book I thought it was not going to be good, but I was wrong.
A family with secrets,
Secrets and lies prove in this book they catch up with you eventually, even after fifteen years.
Yes great read, look forward to another book by this author.

Thank you for the opportunity to read 'Greenwich Park'.
This is a book set in London and focuses on two couples who are both pregnant and the mysterious, younger Rachel that 'helicopters' into their lives. There are several threads running through this story and they come together to create a good mystery, ultimately leaving no-one untouched by Rachel's arrival in their lives.

Wow! This book is so full of cunning characters and twists, it’s a really wonderful read! As soon as I’d finished this I immediately checked if the author had written any other books; if they had I’d have bought them straight away! I was hooked right from the first page to the last, and I loved the ending!

Loved this from the very start..... couldn't put it down- absolutely gripping.
All seems pretty normal to start with Helen who is pregnant goes along to her local ante natal class, Daniel her husband doesn't make it, neither does her brother and sister in law... there she meets and reluctantly befriends Rachel....and the story rolls from there....lots of chance meetings with Rachel, then Rachel turning up at Helen and Daniels house and from there, there is a roller coaster ride of intrigue, secrets and tension! A really great read..lots of suspense and you won't be disappointed with the conclusion. A deftly woven tale....a great debut novel. Will be looking forward to Katherine Faulkner's next offering.

This is Katherine Faulkner’s first book, and the story drew me in from the very first page. Helen seems to have the perfect life, with a hard-working, successful husband, great lifestyle and good friends. However, when she meets Rachel at her anti-natal class, she begins to invade her life, and seems to be everywhere. This is a gripping story and as it unfolds, you know you are in for a thrilling read.
It soon becomes obvious that Rachael is not all she seems; she doesn’t fit in with Helen’s lifestyle, has an uncaring attitude, and seems to anticipate her every move. Daniel (Helen’s husband) is obsessed with working long hours and re-modelling their home. But you begin to wonder whether he has secrets.
There are no chapters in the book, passages are marked with dates as Helen’s pregnancy progresses. Viewpoints are given from several characters’ perspectives, which gives a more rounded picture. Is Helen all she seems to be? Are Daniel, Charlie or Rory (Helen’s brothers) hiding secrets? All these elements combine to make an absorbing well plotted thriller, with enough twists and turns to keep you interested. The story is a gripping roller-coaster ride especially as it comes to its unexpected ending. You didn’t see that coming.
Highly recommended, I can’t wait to read Katherine Faulkner’s next book.

I really wasn't sure if I would like this book when I first started reading it. It is very dark and you have to virtually wade through the building tension as the story unfolds. By the end I thought it was excellent and I can say that the author pulls off an unusual and intriguing tale. It is amazing to think this is a debut novel. It is accomplished and classy.
Thank you to the author, her publishers and @NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Greenwich Park. I am looking forward to seeing what Katherine Faulkner writes next.

Loved this debut novel! So many twists that blow your mind. Can't wait to recommend this book to everyone once it is released!

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters were believable and I was hooked from the start. A very enjoyable read.

Edgy from page one. Chapters are long but have a realistic edge that engaged you on every turn. I don't like not having numbers for chapter so this does have a slower reading style. You feel intrigued with each new chapter with a clear writing style.
A simple but interesting premise. Girl goes to antenatal class. Girl makes friend at class. Friend has an abundance of confidence and wants girls life and so begins a intricately woven tale of what is a good life and if you see someone having what you want how do you take it.
Clever but gripping. Told over the pregnancy time it builds to a climatic crescendo with explosive twists. Lots of intricate details which provoakes questions on what is each person hiding. Trust, honesty and faithful relations are cleverly woven into this story.
The downside - very lengthy and it does take a while to get to the end. The terminology of calling "mummy" and "daddy" seems very alien coming from a grown women and slightly childish.
There is a sense of realism and interest as you read but overall it is a slow burn of a story.
Would I recommend - possibly. Would I read another by the same author - probably not.

A really good read with interesting characters that kept me guessing the whole way through. The plot and the twists are really well thought out. A really well written thriller.
Thank you to NetGalley for my copy.

You won't be able to put this book down, at least I wasn't. Set in London, the story is centered around two families, Helen and her husband, Daniel, and Helen's brother and his wife, Serena. Both women are pregnant, and these families seem to live the perfect life with their perfect houses in Greenwich, London. Then there is Charlie, the youngest brother of Helen and Rory, and his girlfriend Katie, a journalist.
Then Rachel comes into the picture, who seems to have nothing in common with Helen, but despite this they see each other often, after first meeting at an antenatal class.
And then secrets start to surface, something happened when all 4 of them were at University in Cambridge, but exactly what? And why does Rachel seem obsessed with Helen? Will Katie find out exactly what happened?
A must ready.
Thank you Netgalley and Bloomsbury for my ARC in exchange of a honest review.

Helen lives a charmed life, good family and friends, huge house, lots of money, and finally about to have a much wanted baby with her loving husband. At her first nct class she strikes up a friendship with Rachel, another expectant mother. Rachel quickly latches onto Helen and becomes embroiled in her life.
The book has twists and turns by the bucket load, well worth a read
