I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
An interesting story and I especially liked the diversity. The writing is good with plenty of twists and turns. The characters are quirky and likable.
A good read.

this is the third in a series for the early teen age group that has echoes of Harry Potter, as well as some of the more dystopian sequences that followed. I have written a full review as part of a blog tour that will go live tomorrow, so will add the links then.

While not the intended demographic for the book I absolutely loved it. It's a compelling read that will inspire readers both young and old. It's the perfect book to read with your children at bedtime, as it has something for everyone to enjoy.

I read this for a blog tour. .

This was a fun and enjoyable read, Emily and her family and friends are super powered humans who fight against evil versions led by a woman called Neci.

Emily is fifteen, and as well as dealing with teenage dramas, she's dealing with being a warrior, and the return of her long lost father and brother, both of whom are seen as heroes and attract attention Emily would rather avoid.

I hadn't read the previous books in the series and I think I might have got into this faster if I had, it took me a little while to understand what was happening and who everyone was.

I've recommended the series to a few friends raising daughters who read and who might enjoy having a female hero.

Even though this is the third book in the series, it is the first one that I’ve read and I really enjoyed it and definitely hope I get to read the fourth and final book in this series. If you loved the Harry Potter books, I recommend you definitely give this series a read, too!

Emily Knight is a teen, one of an elite team each with their own magical powers . . . . though she’s not quite certain what hers are or how to use them to their full effect yet. She has a lot of additional pressure on her because both her father and older brother are famous because of their powers and skill but Emily hasn’t seen either of them for years until they return for her fifteenth birthday celebrations. There’s plenty of family drama as they get to know each other again and Emily has to cope with the huge expectations of her father, his assumptions that he knows her well (and he certainly doesn’t) and the pressure of having two people who are so famous around again. There’s also the on-going problem of how they can finally defeat Neci, a very powerful warrior who seems determined to kill all the other warriors . . . .

There’s also school to attend, along with all the angst and turmoil that ensues there. No, not a normal school but one which hopes to train all the pupils to help them become skilled, magical warriors. With friends, romance, training, sports competitions, training, enemies and magic this is an engaging read that is packed with adventure, danger, battles and so much more. What a great change to have such a diverse range of characters, too, including a powerful female protagonist – so many talking points throughout the book! It would be a great class read as it deals with so many aspects of life and living, families, relationships, teamwork, friendships – and is, of course, a magical read!

Thank you to the publishers and author for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

She was nervous she hug her dad and brother and welcomed them into the house every one was glad they showed up and Emily was excited they were here the party was great till her father gave her surprise two her which was he wanted her two go two the warrior tournament and will everyone went quiet and didn’t know what two say and the part ended so Emily when with her friends went up stairs and When everybody left they eat cake.she was glad her brother was home.
Back at school was strange her father and brother turned up they were known as knight warriors that saved the world from neci and her war that was coming they all congratulate her father and he taught them a few basic trading skills. And loc her brother taught them how two fight in school he got the children in school two learn how two fight when the war comes with neci and he flew fire balls at them and some children when down other started running and fighting with each a few got hurt Emily fought it wasn’t a good idea but she went long with it till they got told that was that.
Emily knew the war was coming with neci she had two be prepared for it. One night neci sent a war Emily was in bed and heard chanting and fireballs every wear she rushed two wake the house up and and her father was poisoned by some water he drank and they all had two go two save house it was two late the house was on fire and she agreed two fight the people outside it was a mess people every wear neci turned allot of people against her and her father.
The fight ended and she went back two her family house with Wesley her poor father was in trouble from the poisoned she had two find Michelle she was a healer and they could help her father so they went on a mission two neci where she was and loc her brother and a few others help and Wesley they found Michelle but couldn’t find the professor they were glad of finding Michelle and she mange two keep her father alive but still unconscious still but he was recovering. They had a nice Christmas Emily was thinking of her father all the time. Over Christmas they had a nice turkey and it was a lovely day though. She attended the warrior tournament and learnt she had new powers fires and learnt about it and how two use them.
The characters in this book is amazing I think if I had powers it be the fire ball and I would like two teleport into other worlds.
I hope Emily ends up with Wesley I like the chemistry between them.
In a battle situation with neci I don’t think loc is strong enough two win neci I think only emily can be the one two fight neci and I do think her father is trying two make Emily like loc.
I love this book I gave it five stars rating.
