For hundreds of years, the inhabitants of Lockton, a village set deep in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, had made a promise to do something for the community in December. This year's it's the church roof. They have a special, outside Christmas tree where they add promises inside clear plastic baubles. So along with the promise to the village they each add thier own.
Meg Scott loves Christmas and she doesn't understand why nobody else gets it! Her shop is Christmas, her van is Christmas, she's even known to dress up as an elf, oh and she's single!
Tom Riley-Clark is Anti Christmas, so why are sparks flying? He's everything she doesn't want in a relationship. He's not the full package, even if he's hot and single!
It's a beautiful story, boy meets girl, you know it's going to happen, but does it always happen? The journey is full of wonderful surprises. A bit sad and tender in places and a few laugh out loud moments. I honestly couldn't put it down! I had to find out more!
I loved this book. It's wonderful reading on a cosy evening with a mug of hot chocolate and glitter sprinkles!! Because there isn't enough glitter in the world.
I loved the ending, no spoilers but you will understand when you read it. Perfect Christmas reading
