This is the third instalment of the Bromance book club series and although it can be read as a standalone it would definitely add to the enjoyment to read the first in the series top make sense of the book club and of how the two in this book met.
This is another solid edition to the series that I flew through in two days. I really liked both of the characters and loved that we still got to see snippets of our favourites like Mack and the Russian.
My only qualm with the series is that now they are just like any other romance books, I loved the first one because the idea of males using romance books to help with their love lives was so unusual but that being said they are well written and address lots of issues and are fun to read and I will be continuing to read the series as it comes out!
If you're looking for a feel good contemporary romance then look no further. The synopsis was intriguing and the plot became even better with each page. I started to love the characters and their interactions. It made me hate in some parts and cry the next. I would read this over and over, it's just one of those feel good reads that should be on your bookshelves.
Having recently read and enjoyed both previous books in this series I was excited to be given the chance to read the third book. As with the others this was a very funny and entertaining rom-com and I just love the characters. Looking forward to the next book. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
The bromance series is back!
Alexis and Noah have the perfect friends to lovers story. They became friends eighteen months ago and even though they both have feelings they don't want to risk their friendship. Their friendship is really admirable, I loved the way they acted and how they were together.
When a woman finds her claiming to be her sister, Alexis world is turn upside down, especially when she learns the reason she contracted her.
This book is so much more than a romance, it is about friendship, struggle and overcoming difficult situations. I really enjoyed the plot and the way it was developed.
Alexis is a very strong character, she is a survivor who have fought through trauma and marginalization to become who she is now. She is avocating for women while helping them in every way she can.
Noah is mourning the lose of his father, this has shaped him to the person he is today. He is such a sweet man, always there to help his friends and especially Alexis.
The bromance Bookclub is a place full of amazing people, they are supporting their friends and they create some very funny scenes which are great for comic relief. I loved reading all the interactions between them and seeing their lives and of the previous books.
*I received an ARC from Headline Eternal through Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.
Thank you to netgalley for this ARC.
This is becoming my favourite romance series. This third instalment maybe the best one yet. The characters are believable. Equal time is given to the two protagonists. Male friendship and discussion of feelings is demonstrated in a beautiful way. If romance is your jam pick up this story. It’s a friends to lovers, open door. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A great read, the latest in this series.
Alexis and Noah have been best friends since they met 18 months ago - both of them secretly want more than friendship but don't want to risk losing each other.
Noah's friends convince him that he needs to join their bromance book club and that will help him learn how to win her over. Alexis has a lot going on in her life and needs him more than ever. Just when you think they will have their chance, everything falls apart. will they get a second chance?
Really hoping their will be more books in the series.
I'm sorry Noah and Alexis but The Russian stole the show. I had some great deep belly laughs and while I thought I would be over the series after book 2. I'm really f**king not.
The writing was phenomenal, funny. The pace was extremely fast but the plot was fantastic.
I think this entire plot was better than book 2 (nothing will beat book 1). I hated Elliot, pitied Elliot. I was rooting tf for Noah. I understood his anger and revenge and cried when he did.
BUT ALEXIS.
Forgiveness never equals meekness, it's so important to remember that! And meekness is not weakeness. All I can say is that this damn book, my heart is so warm. 😭
LKA, I'm ready for The Russian's story please, I want my baby to be alright, he's smol and cute, don't hurt him.
I reallydl do love this series. Yes it isn't as revolutionary by the third book, but they still deliver a fantastic group dynamic, brilliant individual story lines, well handled sensitive topics and just the right amount of steam.
I enjoyed the story between Alex Alexis and Noah (even if I'm not convinced he is as serious about Book Club as he should be), and I liked the way that centering this book on Alexis gave room to show her journey of healing following the events of the previous book.
These men run for grand gestures. What's not to love? I definitely looked up the author's website in pure hope that my favourite character might finally be getting his own story... AND I WAS RIGHT! There is never enough of The Russian in these books for me, but his story is officially on its way and already on my wishlist!
I love this series! I 5ink the characters are great and it’s so lovely to read about a group of male friends that are happy to talk about feelings. I love that toxic masculinity is dealt with and love that romance is talked about in such a positive way!
I loved this story. It was such an emotional rollercoaster going from feelings of will they won't they over their romance, sadness of how Lexa's "family" were treating her, frustration about how she reacted to their "request" and several aww moments over how the friends were helping them. I especially had a soft spot for the Russian and wish we could've learnt more of his story. I would recommend this book to others though just as a warning there are several sex scenes but if, like me, you don't like these, you can just skip those paragraphs as I did as they don't make up the majority of the book, and you don't miss any details necessary to the story by skipping them
Crazy Stupid Bromance is the newest addition to Lyssa Kay Adams famous Romcom series featuring The Bromance Book Club and for those follow this series, it's a treat as they get a glimpse of their favorite couple getting married or living together. And for the new ones like me, Lyssa makes sure you're upto date with the story and the characters and its perfectly enjoyable as a standalone Romcom!
So Alexis has a little Cafe where she also runs a little program for sexually harrassed women to open up to each other. She's also in a constant hope that someday her nonexistent father will come for her.
And the brilliant hacking dude Noah has a crush on Alexis, and their relationship is build on this understanding that they're there for each other as friends and nothing else had popped into their minds.
Well obviously that's about to change soon as their friends Liv and Mack are getting married and the Bromance Book Club is calling Noah to put his unrequited feelings into action. The guys begin meddling into Noah and Alexis until they end up naked for each other! There's some crazy wedding stuff and utterly bonkers stuff that the guys do that will tear you up. And Alexis has a devilish cat that is already killing birds and secretly plotting to castrate Noah in his sleep.
Overall it's a fun read. Quick and easy romance with cheesy plot lines, silly quarrels and dramatic makeup and utterly hot sex. So yeah, all you need from a romantic comedy is here. Go for it!
