I enjoyed the setting. I thought it was really fun and cute but it was difficult to read?
Maybe it is just me. I'm using Adobe Digital Edition hehehe

This manga was really fun. I thought it was a cute recollection of the different stories/moments that as a pet owner one can really relate to. I really liked the relationship between Inu and Neko and how they get along with each other. I immediately thought of my own pets since I have two dogs.
Something really fun about the different stories included is that you can really understand the personalities of both Inu and Neko. I would recommend this to anyone who is an animal lover.

Just adorable! I think most pet owners will happily be able to relate to the antics of the cat and dog is this lovely comic. Full of cute artwork and some even cute photos. A warm fuzzy read.

I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

With a Dog and a Cat, Every Day is Fun is a manga about the author's life with his dog, Inu, and cat, Neko. In addition to the comics, there are some real-life pictures of Inu and Neko interspersed for pet lovers to enjoy For those who have not read manga before, it might taken them a minute to get used to the fact that Japanese books go from right to left rather than the traditional left to right.

These were cute comics; Inu and Neko have the stereotypical dog and cat personalities. The comics were definitely relatable! My favorite part, though, were the pictures of the real-life Inu and Neko included in the book.

Thank you Vertical Comics and Netgalley for this e-arc.

Funny and refreshing story about the author living with her best companions, a dog(Inu) and a cat(Neko). This is my first time reading her work and I must say it didnt disappoint me. The illustrations are drawn candidly, which is pretty addictive for me to take all in. Besides, i love how this comic compiles one-shots of her daily routines with her cat and dog. Seemingly since this is the first volume, the author mostly introduces the characteristics of her pets; her bubbly dog named Inu and her Tsundere cat named Neko. Yes, you heard it right. Those two have contradicting personalities which makes this book pretty interesting and funnier. I wish I could read the next volume already. All in all, if you're an animal lover, then check this out!

This is so heartwarming and entertaining. From the perspective of a dog owner and being amused by cats, I can relate to this. It's a nice feel good book that you can always pick up for a light read. I love the art and I really enjoyed this. I am thankful for having a chance to read this. Strongly recommend this!

This manga is about the author and how is her daily life with her pets. It is so much funny and lovely cute. As an owner of pets I just understood what she was going through and I enjoyed reading this book. Her cat Neko is not an easy character and she is even scared of him but her dog Inu is so energetic and loveable. I laughed a lot while reading this manga. I hope that the second volume will be released soon. I really had such a great fun time with Inu and Neko. I absolutely loved it and I can't see how you can not love it. Pets' lovers sure will enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this book!

Now I am going to admit that I was not a huge fan of Manga until I picked a book a few weeks back and since then it has really grown on me and I thought that this book was great - the images were lovely and I loved the comments that the author added - you could really see the love she has for her pets too as she was bringing their stories to life

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

This adorable manga chronicles the life of a manga artist and animal lover Hidekichi Matsumoto and her animals. Her dog, Inu, is an adorable fluff ball composed entirely of enthusiasm and sunshine, and her cat Neko is an equally cute but insidiously diabolical feline.
This book is pretty much what it sounds like, most panels depicting the trials and joys of a multi-pet household. It's just so inherently joyful- a really laugh-out-loud read full of relatable moments for people who love animals. Some of the funniest panels are the ones which cast Neko, a domestic house cat, as a demonic creature hell-bent on emotional manipulation. Inu is primarily characterized as a sweet dumb baby, though both animals are written and drawn so lovingly, even when they are clearly actively impeding Matsumoto in daily tasks.
The art style is very distinct, and Matsumoto switches it up in a few places, which keeps the manga visually interesting and overall a pleasant reading experience. I do tend to have low expectations for books about my favorite topics, but this one blew me away! I laughed, I teared up, I flipped back to look at panels so I could enjoy them again. I cannot recommend With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun enough. Once you read one, you'll be as ravenous as Neko.

An extremely adorable read about a manga artist who owns a cat named Neko and a dog names Inu! It was just a compilation of short pieces about their day to day experiences. The picture of Neko at the end of each little segment got me laughing every time. (I absolutely love cats and their love/distain relationships with humans always brings me joy.) If you want a very lighthearted read this book is a good one to pick up.

Funny and relatable. Although in my case it would be: With TWO Dogs and TWO Cats, Every Day is MORE than fun 😁.

The author, Hidekichi Matsumoto, shows us how is to live with a dog and a cat. Some may think it's impossible, but believe it or no they can coexist quite well. Through the manga artist's sketches we can see how different Inu and Neko are, but despite their differences, they can live perfectly fine together.
On the one hand, Inu is adorable and easygoing. He always wants to play and spend time with his human. On the other hand, Neko is a bit grumpy and he doesn't demonstrate affection in the same way a dog does. Let's say he seems indifferent, although he isn't at all. He's always watching carefully.

The ilustrations are cute, I like them!
There are some pictures of Inu and Neko too.

Thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Cute and really simple. Loved that the author also included the actual photos of her pets Inu and Neko in this book. I'd be interested to read more, it's a perfect little book to flip through when you're in a bad mood.

This collection was super cute, with short manga comics detailing the behaviors and daily escapades of the author and their cat and dog. The two animals had two very different personalities, which is very evident in each little story. These were great vignettes into the every day life of pet owner's, especially when there are multiple pets in one home.

I do wish some of the stories had been more connected or expanded upon, but I understand that these were meant to be short often single page glimpses. Still, it was fun to read and great for anyone who deals with cats or dogs on a daily basis.

This book is hilarious! I love the illustrations and how real the scenarios are. As a dog lover (and a cat tolerator) I found it brilliant in the portrayal of both animals. This will be a fun book an animal lover - especially someone who has cats and dogs in the home.

⭐ 8 stars out of 10 ⭐
It's cute and light. Certainly reminds me to my own cats at home

Keywords: manga, pets, 4-koma, comedy

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for providing me with an e-arc of this book.

With a Dog and a Cat tells about the author's experience in having pets at home. It's comedy and written in 4-koma kind of style, so it's more like collection of short stories. It's light, easy to read and some parts are very funny. The cat and the dog the author owned have distinct personality and very cute. Not much I can comment on the techincalities like artstyle, etc. All I know is that everything else seems really fitting in this book.
I like it.

This is such a cute idea and it really reflects the true personalities of pets in everyday situations. It was really easy to read and would be the perfect read for animal lovers of any age

.I had a lot of fun following the short stories of the surly cat Neko and the cute dog Inu. Too bad that at times I thought they ended up too quickly and I was a little lost.. The pets are crazy little things.

This comic is the English translation of the Japanese comic about the authors' love of her cat and dog. People who love cats and dogs will love this comic.

The author Hidekichi Matsumoto posts weekly webcomic on her twitter in Japanese every Sunday, if you want to read/see more of her fun adventures!
