Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group Wide Eyed Editions for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
This book is STUNNING! Absolutely stunning! Each page is shear delight and the artist and production team have done an outstanding job on this book. The book is pretty self explanatory- it goes through 50 states in America and gives examples of activities that can be enjoyed in those places. There’s also a little bit of history thrown in, and I was pleased to see that Native American Indian history has also been acknowledged as well. I have certainly added a few places to my want to visit bucket list. I’m also adding this book to my children’s Christmas list because they are fascinated to learn about different parts of the world and I think this book would be even more of a treat in physical form. A most definite win for me!

I really LOVED this book! It is fun for adults and kids. The pictures are gorgeous. This is perfect for an adventurous and curious child! I love the focus on the fifty states. The organization of one adventure and a bunch of small facts on each page make this an engaging book for all ages. I especially loved the last section about having adventures in your own neighborhood.

I love this series of books. I like the illustrations and the different facts provided. I liked how they highlighted places to adventure in each state in this book. A great book for young explorers and their families.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

The author of this children’s book beguilingly invites her readers to come and have some adventures. Starting with letter “A,” readers are invited to climb a giant boulder in Alabama, to walk on a glacier in Alaska, to horseback ride in Arizona and to kayak in Arkansas. From there it goes on to all of the states.
I found this to be an interesting and appealing title. Readers, whether or adults or children, will learn a lot as they enjoy both the text and illustrations in this book.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

Beautiful book, with amazing ideas for things to do in each of the states. I would love to buy this to have a physical copy to show people.

"I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
The primary adventure for each state was well laid out and interesting. The illustrations for the book were really engaging. However, I found the text that was blended into the images hard to read.

I received an advance copy of, 50 Adventures in the 50 States, by Kate Siber. This is a great book, the pictures are eye catching. There are fun facts, and adventures on the 50 states. I wish they had this book when I was a kid.

This book is GORGEOUS. I taught the 50 states for about 10 years as a 5th grade teacher and it was my absolute favorite part of teaching. I’m going to recommend this book to my former school. I love that it’s not just written in solid paragraphs. The colors and illustrations are so pretty. I love the place they selected for each state- and they’re not the typical tourist attraction! (Proud to say I partook on the adventure from my state of Pennsylvania.) It’s awesome the way there is small facts woven into the fabrics of the artwork. My students would have loved this. I always gave out one state per student and would have used this book to facilitate a writing assignment about their imaginary adventure at their state.

Review to come to my blog/goodreads on September 27th.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I am a big fan of books about travelling! So when I spotted this one on Netgalley I knew I would have to have it. Since I probably never can go to America (for many reasons), I take any book about it so I can still travel in a way. And this one promises some fun adventures and activities to do in each state.
This book is about the 50 states of America, each two page spread is about one of the states and an activity/adventure that you can do in that specific state with a GORGEOUS (yes, this needs to be in caps) illustration. I was definitely curious what the author picked for each state and what new fun activities and facts we would learn about said activity or said state. I loved the adventures chosen and wished many times while reading that I could step inside the book and participate in the activity, or see the nature for myself, or see those cute animals. I really love the choices for activities and things you can see. There are things that are for active people, there are things to just have fun on a boardwalk (apparently the oldest one), or just watch animals and stars. It is a nice varied bunch. There is something for everyone, though there are people like me who would do all of it (well, maybe not the climbing.. fear of heights).
I love how the book starts with a map and in each state is the page number where you can find that state. Very creative way to make a table of contents!
At the end we get 5 adventures one can do in your own neighbourhood! From pitching a tent in your backyard (or living room) to exploring the night sky (though good luck with that if you are in a city).
The art is absolutely gorgeous and I just love seeing each new page and I was eagerly looking forward to them. I definitely should see if the artist did any other work, because I want more.
All in all, a fabulous book filled with plenty of fun activities, gorgeous art, and curious facts! Recommended.
