This was a really lighthearted and cute story! The two characters are very loveable and I instantly fell in love with them at first sight haha! It felt quite slow to read which is why it took me a while, not much happens. I hope more volumes brings a bit of drama and an emotional time for the reader because overall I didn't feel too much. But it was really cute and defiently a comfort read.

I thought it was a cute fun little story, but it greatly lacked substance. Also, I’m personally not a fan of the miscommunication trope, so that contributed to my lower rating. All in all, it’s a nice mindless story to read if your bored perhaps.

Whisper Me a Love Song was a cute beginning of a hopefully continuously cute series.

This was an adorable little LGBT series about two girls who see each other at a concert where Yori is singing in a band. Himari, struck by love at first sight, befriends quiet Yori and they begin to tip-toe around a relationship where neither are sure what the other means.

If you enjoy cutesy love-story manga, definitely give this series a shot!

I adore a good soft girl love story which is exactly what this story is. The relationship builds so naturally and I loved that there was no homophobia based on the girls’ feelings for each other. It’s a low bar but some people still trip on it.

*this is an ARC review for NetGalley*

This gets a 2.5 stars from me... the story and characters were just really surface level. There was little character development, romantic buildup/tension, motivation, or internal dialogue. Instead it relies on cutesy illustration and some really standard romance manga tropes.

Also just a note that its not because I'm inexperienced with the genre- I've read a lot of shoujo manga and a decent amount of GL/Yuri

Thank you netgalley for this book. This was so freaking cute and I wish it wasn’t over. When I got the the end I was so disappointed because I wanted more. I honestly hate the miscommunication troupe but I didn’t mind it here. I need the next one ASAP

This was a really cute read and an interesting premise based on what people mean when they say they "love" someone, in terms of friendship and romance. It was a really interesting plot point and provided a lot of room for the mangaka to play with some fun ideas.
This was a fluffy, fun read with not much drama, but some silly misunderstandings, a lot of blushing and a budding romance. I thought the characters were interesting (both main and side) and I want to know more about them. I enjoyed the difference between Yori's cool girl persona and her real feelings when faced with Himari's enthusiastic adoration. It was a great contrast and made me laugh quite a few times. They both complement each other really well as characters, and Yori's efforts to win over Himari were really quite sweet.
There were a lot of threads between the main and side characters that I am sure will develop more fully in further volumes. The band SS Girls all seem like they have a lot going on that I'm looking forward to discovering more about.
I'll definitely be continuing with this series as I'm interested to know where this will lead. It seems like it's going to be quite a sweet series, so I'm looking forward to reading more, and though there wasn't much drama in this volume I expect there is some to come.
I really loved the art style, everything looked beautiful and the character designs are great!
I recommend this if you're looking for a fluffy/fun yuri romance.

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this book in return for an honest review.

This manga was so sweet it made my teeth ache. Both the characters are great and it is nice to see two girls together (or at least wanting each other) in a manga, The beginning few pages were in full colour but the rest is in black and white like a lot of other manga.

For me, this was a quick and easy read. While this was a love at first sight sort of situation, I didn't mind it too much! I want to read the next volumes asap!

Good Yuri is hard to find ("Yuri" is a Japanese term for a genre that features lesbian relationships). The charming artwork works well with the light tone of the story making Whisper Me a Love Song is a solid addition to the genre. Though the pairing of a younger student with a seemingly unattainable upperclassman is familiar, Eku Takeshima adds a few twists. I wish there had been a bit less repetition and more attention spent on character development but this quick read will have you immediately reaching for the next issue.

Whisper Me A Love Song is about Himari and Yori, two high school girls who catch feelings for each other. Himari is a bubbly, cheerful first year, who sees Yori, an shy older student, sing in a band as part of a welcome assembly. Himari thinks that Yori is awesome, and falls for her singing. Yori falls for Himari.

I requested this from netgalley because the cover is super cute. The art style is adorable. The story is just as cute, and I really enjoyed reading it. It threw me right back to my own highschool crushes, where you see someone and they're just so cool that you can't stop thinking about them. Himari's best friend is just so done with Himari's obsession with Yori, and Yori's friends tease her about her crush. There are some really sweet moments, and some really funny moments too. The two of them are just adorable. I think I liked Yori's perspective the best. The manga goes back and forth between the two of them, and whilst I liked both a lot, I particularly liked Yori.

This manga gives warm fuzzy feelings, it's just so cute. (How many times have I used the word cute in this review...? Probably too many, but it's the right word to describe it.) I need more! I need volume 2! I need to see where this goes! Also, the bonus mini stories at the end were a delight.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC manga, it was such a cute, fun read. Can't wait for Vol2.
Himari is so adorable and her senpai Yori is too precious and awkward.
the anime style was very good as well, it did feel abit on the long side but that might have been because it was an e-version and i'm not used to it.

Whisper me a Love Song is a such a cute manga story! I really enjoy the interaction of Yori and Himari..

I really like Yori and find her character interesting same with Himari who is such a cute one tbh, althought there are some parts of the story I felt a little off about her but overall she's just a cutie.

Will definitely continue this cute story!

Very superficial little love story of a girl falling in love with another girl because of a beautiful singing voice.

Very natural love story. And no one questions that the two girls are in love. It is more about their grade levels rather than their gender.

There are cute things, where each girl is not sure if the kind of love they are talking about is the kind of love they have for each other.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

Super cute! I greatly enjoyed it! I like that it centered on musicians, and the manga formatting was easy to follow.

Ok so first of all… AHHHHHH MY HEART. Ugh the smoulder and the senpai just ugh MY HEART DIED. Add in Himari and my heart just freaking EXPLODED. This manga is SO CUTE! Himari is very much just WHAM in your face but she is so CUTE and bubbly and that part with the head pat I literally melted into a puddle. I NEED VOLUME 2 RIGHT NOW. This is basically like a ‘bruh’ girl paired with a ‘uwu’ girl times a million and I am so totally here for it. I loved this book. I loved the story. I loved the characters. I loved the artwork. I loved EVERYTHING.

It's been a while since I read a yuri (well shoujo-ai) manga and this was absolutely adorable. The cover art drew me in and I really love the art style in the manga.

It's a very cute story about two girls falling in love at first sight. Himari and Yuri are so loveable and wholesome that I was smiling throughout the book.

Since it's the first volume, there's isn't much happening but I love how the characters are set up and I'm super excited for the next volume! If you're looking for a cute and adorable manga with music and cats, I'd highly recommend checking this out!

I'm very excited that there is a shounen-ai out. I've had my share of reading the very few that there are (which in itself is a crime that there are so little), but this was a very cute story that is just wholesome enough and with a very cute style. I love that the characters had an instant like to each other and were genuinely sweet to one another. I don't want to spoil any further than what the story has, but if you're looking for something sweet and wholesome I recommend this.

I really liked a lot my reading !
This manga is a sweet, cute and feel-good romance between two girls and this first volume was really cool. Discover this girls and their feelings was great. I loved the mangaka decide to talk about the differents ways of love and how this word can have differents meanings. In fact, this make me think of Bloom into you but with diffrents caracters and differents ways to talk about love.
The drawing was great too. So it's a good first volume and I want to read the next one !

This is my first time reading Yuri manga and I think I’ll definitely be reading more after this. It’s about a freshman, Himari who falls in love at first sight with Yori-sempai after hearing her sing with her band during orientation, except it’s supposedly platonic. Yori misunderstands and *actually* falls in love with Himari at first sight. Thus they have to come to an agreement on whether they “love” each other and what that means. In terms of the plot, I thought it was a pretty simple story. I can understand Himari’s character because I feel like women are more comfortable saying something like, “I fell in with you after hearing you sing” and meaning it in a completely platonic way as compared to men complimenting men. I bet it’s tough for the lesbian, bi and pan women out there to wade through these signals and figure out what’s actually a come-on. Still, I wasn’t super invested in the story so I don’t think I’ll continue. It was cute, but just not interesting enough to keep my attention.

An advanced reader of this book was provided to me by the publisher on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I found this book on NetGalley and I requested it because it looked really cute, uplifting, and interesting. It was all of those things! This book follows Himari who falls in love with Yori at first sight when she sees Yori playing in a band. As they get to know each other Himari confesses to Yori that she has fallen in love with her. Yori also admits that she has fallen in love with Himari, but soon realises that they do not mean the same kind of love. Himari's love is more of a fan loving an idol and Yori's is a romantic love.

I liked this manga but it was mainly just set up and build up of the story. I do think that the main characters are the strongest part of the manga, but the plot is focused on their relationship/romance and I didn't really buy it because of how naive/innocent Himari is and because it's insta love, but I knew that it was insta love when I was going into this book. I felt like the plot wasn't gripping enough for me to want to continue reading on the series and I do sadly think that I will forget the plot of this manga soon. However, it is the best gl manga that I've read and I would recommend it to readers who want to read gl but I just didn't love it. I liked it.
