This is a very informative book about two iconic guitars. It is a combination of two separate books on Fender’s 75th anniversary. My husband plays guitar and has a few Fenders so it was nice to learn some things! I recommend this book.

Overall I enjoyed reading this book. It is an exhaustive history of the Fender guitars, the Telecaster and Stratocaster. Parts of the book had more technical descriptions than I liked. My favorite part of the book was the musician profiles and the descriptions of all the different ways they modified their instruments. There are lots of wonderful illustrations accompanying the text. This book will make a wonderful gift. Enjoy

Fun, informative history of the legendary guitar line, and some of its legendary players. Love the photos.

Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster tells the story of the World's Most Iconic Guitars. The book is split into 3 parts - I: Leo and the Origin of Fender, II: The Telecaster (including artist profiles) and III: The Stratocaster (also including article profiles).  There are a lot of photos throughout and as always I tried to keep track of how many of the artists featured I had seen live.  With Telecasters:  0 and with Stratocasters: 3.  I always enjoy reading about the history of these instruments, especially because they all started not all that long ago, but you kind of feel like they've been around forever.  I find Fenders to be really pretty looking and that's really the extent of my knowledge on guitars, so it was nice to read and learn more about them!
