what a great story! I loved Devin and Giselle almost as much as Jack and Elena! I loved that Giselle was smart and quirky and knew she wanted Devin. I loved how vulnerable Devin was :)

Not My Match is a fabulous read. I loved Giselle and Devon so much. They have this amazing banter and a slow burn chemistry. Giselle is super smart and has a bit of bad luck when it comes to certain things. Devon is an amazing football player and all around good guy. I love how he steps in and helps Giselle in so many ways. This book just gets hotter and hotter as they grow closer. I giggled and fanned myself several times over throughout this one. I couldn't get enough of Giselle and Devon. I couldn't put this down.

This book was an absolute joy! Devon is one of my new favorite book boyfriends. He balances that fine line between being both possessive and growly over his girl, yet still sweet and caring and nurturing with her too. He’s an alpha but not an alpha hole. Giselle is an endearing mix of science facts and romance obsessed. She is smart and has a plan for her future, but lately everything has been off. Having read Not My Romeo, I was excited to revisit the Daisy Lady Gang and these characters, but I couldn’t have expected this. These two together are EVERYTHING! They’re a little nerdy and LOT adorable! This is a must read, and I can’t wait to revisit the group and all of the quirky side characters again soon!

I loved the first one, but this was just meh for me. First the blurb was a bit misleading for me. Maybe technically Giselle is homeless, but it’s not how it sounds. But my main issue was that I just didn’t feel the connection. I wanted more.

When you know, you know. Giselle is amazingly quirky, superbly smart and way more beautiful than she realizes. Why is she single and :gasp: a virgin? Is she saving herself for marriage or is there maybe someone she subconsciously desires? Deacon is her brother in law's best friend. He's is an amazing player both on and off the field. He just plans on keeping the sharks away from her but never sees her coming

Madden-Mills tossed us into the lazy river with this slow burn goodness. A bad boy football player meets a good girl scientist and the most perfect friendship is born.
Their differences were huge, and their similarities were undercover, but as more and more came to light, they just made sense, in the most basic of ways.
I love this couple together, their dynamic with their friends and families, and the serious stubbornness they each displayed.
But once the match was lit, the spark was undeniable.

Absolutely loved this story, and Devon and Giselle were just what I needed to get out of my book slump!

Giselle has had a rough go of it lately. She’s trying to figure her life out, when she becomes homeless and in need of a place to stay. With her sister Elena out of town, her brother-in-law Jacks, teammate and best friend Devon gives her a place to stay. Jack has laid down the law that Giselle is off limits, no touching by any of the guys on the team, but she’s beautiful and innocent and it’s becoming harder for Devon to ignore. But a girl like Giselle could never want a guy like him…right?

I loved the dynamic between Devon and Giselle. They’re complete opposites, but it works for them. I wasn’t sure that Giselle could be redeemed after the things we read about her in ‘Not My Romeo’ but I should have known Ilsa would find a way to make it happen! She and Devon are the perfect combination, and their chemistry is white hot! I do hope we get a story for Aiden, he intrigues me and the intrigue was heightened even more through this story! ‘Not My Match’ was a great addition to The Game Changers series and I’m excited to see what Ilsa gives us next!

Ilsa Madden-Mills offers readers plenty of angst and a bit of humor in this fun contemporary romance. The narrative revolves around a successful football star that is emotionally unavailable and feels himself unworthy of love. Dynamics shift when a quirky, grad student enters his life and shakes things up. Avid readers of the genre may feel a redundancy in the trope and even the characterization. The story was overall engaging and offered positive messages on self worth, love, and family. Recommended for those newer to contemporary romance or even this author. 3 stars.

I adore reading about Giselle and Devon, the banter between them is off the charts. I don't want to ruin anything. I promise I wont, I realized that i have accidentially described the characters of past reviews and sort of spoiled the book. So, all i'm saying is that if you love opposite attracts, pro-sport romance. Then you're gonna love this book. Thank me later. Also, one more thing that I'm about to wax poetical is I love reading Ilsa Madden-Mills sport romances. These characters will always have a special place in my heart.

I knew from the first book Devon would be my absolute favorite in this series and I was too right!! He is an amazing football player that is overly cocky but oh so sexy and few can resist him. Giselle is so smart with fun quirks that make her down to earth yet adorable in other ways. She made me laugh and even though she is a genius she wasn’t weird about it and still knew how to through barbs and jokes back at Devon. Devon knows he has been told not to go there with her by his friend Jack, but something about her calls to him and makes him want more so he spends most of his days avoiding her and fighting this attraction. Even though Devon is fighting his attraction Giselle knows he is out of her league, yet she can’t help but be drawn to him knowing it could never work because he looks at her sometimes with annoyance. Devon fights his own demons afraid that everyone he cares for always leaves him and Giselle has her own insecurities because they are total opposites, yet they both know they are slipping down a slippery slope straight towards each other and can’t fight it much longer. I loved their banter, their friendship, Devon’s alpha side, and Giselle’s heart of gold. This book was an absolute favorite to read and I can’t wait for more!!!!

Not My Match is a fun and sexy story about finding love in unexpected places and becoming blissfully happy when the hottie you have been pining over finally becomes yours or when you finally give in an believe you can have all the things you thought you never could.

Giselle is not having much luck in the dating pool and things take a turn for the worse one night for her, but luckily Devon is able to step in and help, putting them just a little bit closer and altering the course of their relationship.

I really liked Giselle and Devon together. I think they had a terrific friendship and loved how they connected even on a friendship level before things ever turned romantic. I loved how they could talk about her book and how they could both be themselves with each other. I loved how they were equally smitten with each other. I found Devon to be extremely swoon-worthy!!!

I did struggle at different points in the book as I felt like maybe there was too much put in there that took away from the actual heart of the book, which is not normal for me and an Ilsa Madden-Mills book. I am a huge fan of this author and her work. I still really enjoyed Devon and Giselle and their relationship and how they went from friends to so much more, but this was not my favorite of the author's work. I will definitely continue to read her books and I cannot wait for the next one!

Bring on the slow, slow burn.

We met Devon Walsh in “Not Your Romeo (NYR)” as Jack’s cocky best friend and fellow footballer.

Devon is the enteral bachelor with a great personality.

“Once they’ve seen his true colors, his cesspool of insecurities, they are done.”

Giselle Riley is the smart, single, younger sister of Riley from NYR. Giselle has dreams of obtaining her doctrine and spending a year in Switzerland studying her passion. After meeting Devon her life and priorities change.

“There’s an ancient Chinese myth that says if two people are destined to be together, then no matter how long it takes, their paths will continue to cross and intertwine. They believe there’s an invisible red thread that ties destined couples. The thread may knot or tangle but will never break.”

If you are looking for a slow burn, small town vibe, hot as hell football players than look no further.

I liked Devon and Giselle’s story. I didn’t think that I could like Giselle after reading Not My Romeo. (You do not need to read to enjoy this one) But my opinion of Giselle changed in this story. You see a different side to her. And I love Devon from the start. I loved seeing their relationship grow from a friendship to more. And even though they were complete opposites they were perfect for each other. Not my match had all the feels. I love Ilsa’s writing. You get drawn in from the start on an entertaining funny and a little sad at times ride. I really hope that Aiden has a book next!

Not My Match by Ilsa Madden-Mills is a sports romance with an alpha male and a nerdy girl and a whole lotta chemistry in between. The story was fun and their relationship builds throughout as friendship turns into love.
Giselle is off limits. She is a virgin, smart and Elena’s sister from Not My Match. Devon is teammates with Elena’s husband and told to watch out for her. Devon is attracted to her from the start, and tries everything to stay away from Giselle. One thing leads to another and close proximity is an every day occurrence.
The two become close and can’t ignore their feelings or temptations. They compliment each other well, and bring down their walls to learn the inner thoughts and emotions.
There was much back and forth between the two until they finally give in. Devon and Giselle are a perfect match.
I loved the two of them and their friends turned lovers relationship. I definitely recommend this book.

“If two people are destined to be together , then no matter how long it takes, their paths will continue to cross and intertwine. They believe there’s an invisible read thread that ties destined couples. The thread may knot or tangle but will never break.”

This story really played a number on me.

I can’t get off this rollercoaster of emotions .

I don’t think there are enough words to describe how this story will tear to apart in the best possible way.

If you thought Elle was weird and unique , get ready for Giselle she’ll change the way you’ll look at life. I’ve always hated physics , but after this book i think I changed my mind.

Giselle wasn’t what I expected , it’s really true that nothing is how it looks like. She’s funny , brave and with really unique interests . The way she could make up those unique stories , bringing together her two passions was mind-blowing .

“How often does a man find a woman like that?”

And Devon , Omg… I don’t think I need to add anything else.

He is the most lovable person ever , funny, caring , always there for you.

But the only think he wouldn’t never open himself up to was love. He has been hurt from to many important people in life , so he put really high walls around his heart . But then something changed .

“She isn’t like anyone else . She’s not a girl I can let go. She’s shoved me over that cliff , and I’m lying at the bottom on the rocks, waiting for her to finish me off”
Giselle was a game changer for him. She quickly made her way up to his head , invading all his thoughts , his life and soon his heart too. It was inevitable .

“You aren’t different–not underneath , where it counts. Life doesn’t decide who you fall for. Love knows no rules at all…”

The connection they had since the first time , how they understand each other like no one else. They were polar opposite but they completed each other on every possible level .

And yes, the Daisy Lady Gang is back , and this time as a real matchmaking agency 😉

I gave it absolutely 6348356 stars

“You’re crazy”

“Nah, just in love with the smartest, most beautiful girl in the world”

I’m not gonna spoiler anything but I’ll tell you this :

Devon and Giselle are in their own completely different ‘universe’

So get ready to be dragged into this black hole !

Five of the Swooniest stars! Completely. Totally. Utterly Smitten with Devon!!! The author gives us the perfect alpha male. The sweet and the swoon left me with a perma-smile on my face. I LOVED IT!!!

Giselle is a nerdy girl who is newly single. She loves everything science and is chock full of fun facts. If you met her sister Elena before in Not My Romeo you might be leary, but I loved her. She’s intelligent and quirky. She definitely marches to her own beat. She knows what she wants and she’s ready to take it. Now she’s fresh off a broken engagement and ready to date.

Devon is the guy she asks for help. He is a football god and a friend. He also happens be be drop dead gorgeous and the definition of alpha male possessive. However, he is not without his own issues. His fear of being left behind, keeps him guarded. Getting behind his walls is going to be tough. He’s willing to help out Giselle, the only problem is he may want to keep her all to himself.

The push and pull between Giselle and Devon is fantastic. I adored Devon’s football friends and Giselle’s crazy family. All the secondary characters were so much fun and brought the laughter. The chemistry between the main characters built steadily and the culmination was everything you could hope for. An incredible read with so much emotion and a romantic connection I could not get enough of. I loved everything about this story...especially Devon. The man did not disappoint! A book I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Arc, for an honest review.

And Ilsa does it again!
I am so happy she paired Devon and Giselle together. So many details that makes the book so much more. Reading this made me so happy. When you think its going to go one way it doesn't. LOL
I LAUGHED a lot. I loved the banter between them, the conversations and the little moments.
And how can you not love Myrtle! She was a pisser!
I wonder which one is next... Aiden or Hollis. I guess we must wait and see!

Nobody can grab your heart and take it on a crazy roller-coaster ride like Ilsa Madden-Mills! Not My Match, her newest friends-to-lovers novel does just that. Devon and Giselle will steal your heart from the get-go. Devon is tall, dark, handsome, dashing and a superstar football player with a "love-em-and-leave-em" reputation. Giselle is an intelligent, funny, beautiful and innocent young woman looking for love, with a list of failed relationships in her wake. Their paths have crossed enough that they know of each other, but they really do not KNOW each other. Giselle would like to remedy that situation. Devon would like to keep everyone, including Giselle, at arms length. And, the fun begins! Devon and Giselle's lives are filled with all the feels, the angst, the romance, the sexy times, the sad times and the just downright hilarious conversations that will have you laughing-out-loud wishing you could be a part of their world. I LOVED this book! It was the perfect weekend read...leaving my heart joyful and satisfied. Another MUST-READ from this fabulous author. DO NOT MISS IT!

I loved Devon and Giselle! They were perfect together.

After a fire breaks out a Giselle's apartment, she is left homeless for all ofn2 seconds when her Knight in shinning armour (Devon) comes to the rescue, she will stay with him but Devon doesn't just want to be roommates and there is also the added problem that Giselle's new brother in law, who also happens to be Devon's teammate and BFF has pretty much warned everyone to not touch her!

Both have hang ups, both have pasts that they would rather forget, both have feelings for each other but for different reasons don't go there. Devon was so protective towards Giselle but she totally new her own mind and put him in his place!
There chemistry was of the charts!

Really hoping Alabama's story is next!
