Thank you to Netgalley and The Book Guild for the arc of this book by Peter Tyrer.
This follows a pandemic in the year 1967- narratively this was a good read and interesting then half way thorugh i got lost and confused so i didnt finish as when i got confused it was getting a bit too much but overall a good book but 3 stars!
Thank you NetGalley for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The cover is simple. I'm honestly not a fan of the colorscheme, but that doesn't really take away from the book.
This book was well-written. The author is for sure talented. I found the storyline easy to follow and unique in that it's not something I've read before. And this is definitely a book to read in this current pandemic.
Overall, I'd consider reading more books by this author.
Very interesting premise. I appreciated how the author used his knowledge in psychiatry to develop the plot. If only everyone in the real world had as much respect for each other as Medenby citizens did in adhering to a lock down at the beginning of the pandemic!
This is fascinating. A great story of what looks like the end of the world but, more than that, a study of human behaviour. Dystopian fiction can be divisive but there is enough in this to appeal to those who also like books about relationships and strong characters. I really enjoyed this.
