This is a lovely book filled with essential oil information. It contains vibrant photographs and is well organized. I found this book very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in essential oils. It's a great resource and I think everyone could learn something from this book from beginners to advanced user.
This a good addition for those who want to create things with essential oils. The reader gets information on the oils and blends. Overall nice.
This is a beautifully illustrated book with detailed information about many essential oils and how they work. While I am not a fan of essential oils because they are not generally sustainable and require so many pounds of plants for tiny amounts, I have used them successfully and they are in my arsenal of natural remedies (using herbs themselves is far gentler, more effective in the long term, and far better for the environment). This is not my favorite book on the topic but it's a great addition to the field and will be a great resource for new and intermediate users of essential oils.
WOW!! The title says it's the ULTIMATE GUIDE to Aromatherapy, and it certainly is the ULTIMATE guide!!! There is so much information in this book!!
The illustrations are beautiful too.
The only downside for me is that sometimes the information went over my head, as a beginner I don't think it was entirely 'beginner' friendly.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
The ultimate guide to aromatherapy is just what the book says - an ultimate guide with a huge amount of information and knowledge ideal for beginners and more experienced users of aromatherapy and essential oils.
This book is ideal to use as a reference book and to read cover to cover too.
The illustrations are very beautifully done and spotted throughout the book.
Anything you could possibly ask or need to know is in this book along with ideas and information to make products using essential oils and aromatherapy too such as facial scrubs, skin care items etc.
I love oil diffusers. In fact I have two in my house, along with over 30 different essential oil flavors. I got this book because I wanted to get some new blending ideas. This book let me down there, since it doesn't have a lot of these. (But you can find many in various on-line blogs or websites.) Instead, this book is a wonderful reference resource to all things essential oils. Combined with beautiful artwork, this is an educational coffee table book.
The authors introduce the subject of aromatherapy in part 1, and the ways that these oils can get into the body in part 2 But it is part 3 that is so informative, outlining dozens of essential oils, what their medicinal properties are, what they pair with, and how to use them. Although not quite what I was seeking this book is a treasure trove of scented knowledge on this topic.
Thank you to NetGalley for sending me an advance review copy for free; I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
Very useful and informative. I am just starting to learn about aromatherapy so I found this is useful .
Absolutely brilliant book, literally everything you need to know about aromatherapy. From where the oils come from to how to use them. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to get into aromatherapy. Beautiful illustrations too.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
Everything you ever needed to know about essential oils and the use of them. You can read it as a book from beginning to the end, or use it as a reference book when needed. It’s good to know what you are getting into before you start using essential oils.
It’s good to have a resource handy when you need it for whatever reason, be that trying to sleep, uplifting the mood, or acne. There’s one or more essential oils for many ‘problems’, and I tend to forget what to use. There’s handy information about how we use our sense of smell, and different ways of using essential oils. It’s a good and educational read!
