Kristie shares her story of dealing with PTSD, as well as, tips and advice on learning to love your imperfect self.

I liked reading about Kristie’s experiences. She’s had to endure some pretty hard things in her life like sexual assault, racial discrimination, PTSD, relationships, and financial struggles. Her words of wisdom give hope to others who are struggling with the same issues. My favorite quote from the book is, “ You are the owner of your one life.”

Thank you to NetGalley and Indigo River Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I tried to read this in February and again in May and both times I ended up not finishing the book. I am sure that it will appeal to and be of help to some who read it but I did not feel I could relate to the opening pages and decided to skim a bit further and read the end. I am sure there is wisdom for some but perhaps it has to do with my age 69 and having lived overseas so many decades but...I did not read word for word and ended up not finishing.

I read this book very quickly and found the chapters very easy to follow even though they went into some deep stuff .

This was definitely more about the actual author than a self help book and whilst there were principles and lessons you can take from it I think it would have helped if I knew the author before I started reading. It was very well written but was a bit different from what I thought it was going to be.

Thank you to netgalley for providing me with an arc.

Inspiring book full of life lessons where the author fearlessly shares her stories and challenges. And she has had plenty. I love her vulnerability in sharing herself and in offering tips and suggestions for your life's journey.

This is an inspiring story of success through adversity. The book should be especially useful to young people early in their careers.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
