As this is a novella, I’ll give it 3 stars. I actually really enjoyed it but due to its short length, it just felt so rushed. This would’ve made a great full length novel in my opinion as it would have allowed a bit more exploration of the emotions rather than ultimately ending up as an insta-love.
I enjoyed the mystery aspect, but again, that also felt rushed. I know it’s a novella and so space is limited - my rating is not a reflection overall on the idea of this story, it’s just that the execution fell flat for me.
This is a great choice for anyone that is looking for a very quick mystery/romance read though.
Holiday romance,Quick read. Good characters and a predictable storyline.Pleasant way to pass an afternoon in lockdown.

So sad to see this series ending but love that Molly is trying to end the curse and is a descendant of the original woman who started the curse and it affected her line as well.
Loved the drama and trying to figure out who killed Finn's wife, and was surprised at who it turned out to be!
Kind of sad for Finn that Molly didn't get the "message" until after another death but glad that future relationships are now safe.
This packs a lot in for a novella.
The characters grab you from the start and it rolls along at a reasonable pack.
Romance, Fantasy and a bit of Christmas makes this a fun read.
Ideal for a quick read.
A sweet holiday romance that wraps up this series perfectly. Molly and Reilly are thrown together and its fast, romantic, with a bit of suspense thrown in. I've enjoyed these families finding love. There's also the touch of paranormal readers have come to expect.
Marrying Molly is a novella length story set in Patricia Rosemoor’s McKenna Curse world and is packed with the same mystery and suspense readers have come to expect from this magical and fast-paced series. There is so much to enjoy about this story that it’s better left to the reader to discover all the twists and turns, murderous plots and a romance that comes out of nowhere. Marrying Molly is a wonderful addition to this thoroughly entertaining series and one I’m sure many will find enchanting.
Marrying Molly is a novella by Patricia Rosemoor, part of the McKenna Curse series. Molly is in Ireland when she hears of her sister-in-law/best friend's death in a hit and run. She is on her way back to Chicago but she has one more stop: the grave of Sheelin O'Keefe, her ggg-grandmother and the progenitor of this curse that has killed countless lovers, including her father, and her sister-in-law Kate. She asks Sheelin how she can break the curse and Sheelin's spirit rises from the grave to tell her: find a McKenna man to love an O'Keefe woman more than he loves his life. Oh, is that all? Several days later when she is with her brother and niece back in Chicago, a man rings the bell. It is the detective investigating Kate's MURDER. When did it turn into a murder? Moreover, the detective's name is McKenna. Can she make this happen? This string of senseless deaths?
First, let me say, I love this series. I love the fairy blood. I love the curse. I love the empathetic way some of them deal with the world. These are terrific love stories. I hope this is not the end. Molly can feel spirits. She has always been able to. She can feel Kate, and she could feel Sheelin. Riley has inherited something of that was well. It helps him as a detective. Often he can feel what is going on in someone's mind/heart. He was drawn to her immediately. She is fun, energetic, full of love to give, and makes a house a home. He is serious, good at his job, and naturally curious. They are in love before either of them realizes it. What a lovely Christmas story. It made my day. I totally recommend it.

This is the latest installment in the McKenna curse The curse was started when Donal McKenna fell in love and left Sheelin O’Keefe for another woman Sheelan having faerie blood cast a curse that no McKenna would ever fond love the only problem she didn't know she was pregnant with Donal's son and that she was cursing her own descendants
Moving to modern times and Molly Kavanaugh is fed up of losing family members to the curse and she confronts her ancestor to find a way to break the curse is for a McKenna man to marry a O'Keefe woman but not just marry he must love her more than life itself and she can't see how that is going to happen. That is until she is staying with her brother Finn and his young daughter after the death off Kate their wife and mother another victim of the curse her brother has been held up at work so when the door bell rings she assumes he has forgotten his key No it is the most stunning man she has even seen and when he introduces himself she is stunned to find he is non other than Detective Reilly McKenna he is here to tell them that Kate's wasn't a hit and run as first suspected but is most likely a murder. As they are thrown together by the case will romance bloom and finally brake the cuurse that has devastated both of their families for years..
