I knew I’d love this book when I discovered that it’s set quite near where I live, and I know the areas that were mentioned.

Nevis’ best friend, Satnam, tries to take her own life and then there’s another suicide. Meanwhile, Nevis has called her mum, Honor, and asked her to come down. Honor has a secret from her past that she’s kept from Nevis, and it’s threatening to come to light.

An excellent psychological thriller that I would highly recommend.

I very much enjoyed this psychological thriller describing the terror unleashed on a city with a string of unexplained suicides. A mother’s quest to protect her daughter’s life is the crux of this excellent story.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. This book did nothing for me. I tried and tried to get into it numerous times. Tried skipping ahead and it was just not good. Mel's first book was amazing but the last two have held zero interest. Didn't make a lot of sense to me.
