This was my first Chloe Liese novel and I was not disappointed. I'm a sucker for a second chance romance and this was one of the better ones I've read recently. The protagonist have been married for 10 years and despite their love for each other are experiencing a rough patch. Freya and Aiden were refreshingly real and the romance was swoony. I really enjoyed reading about the Bergman family. The brothers especially were hilarious. I will definitely be reading more of Chloe Liese's novels in the future.

I had 14 highlights in this book. Y'all. This book wrecked me! Wrecked me! I love Chloe Liese's Bergman brothers so much. And Freya and Aiden just ruined me.

There is nothing I love more than marriage on the rocks romance because it is so real. Marriage is hard - like Freya says "Why doesn't anyone tell you how hard marriage is going to be?" - and so often we read romance up until the HEA but really most are Happily For Now. It's nice to see couples work through their growth: in marriage, as they grow together, and as they grow apart. Freya and Aiden's story is about how you make the conscious choice to grow together - to understand how you've changed as people and actively work to understand what this new person you are with needs. Gosh. It's so deep. And so real.

I also loved how Liese showed Aiden's anxiety and the ways that it impacts their relationship. Anxiety is something that is quite common and peaks and flows are guaranteed. Never cured, only something that is managed and supported. As the book progresses, we realize that yes, Aiden has failed Freya, but Freya has failed him as well. And their realization of their failings, as well as their desire to do better, is truly beautiful.

I highly recommend this book, this entire series. Liese has something great going with the Bergman family and I can't see where else she takes us.

We have Freya and Aiden’s story now. 10 years into their marriage and there’s a major bump in the road for them.

I love them both! I love their story...how they move on and grow from this, their love for each other constant yet growing along with them.

Love the Bergman family! They’re really great and supportive of each other. I like how they claimed Aiden as their own too.

The best thing about this book is the way ever after is shown. It’s not all happy. It’s not smooth sailing all the way. It’s constant work and constant choice.

So thankful I got an arc of this book even if my review is late. Thank you @chloe_liese and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley! I really enjoyed this book.

Aiden and Freya have been together for more than a decade, but until recently things were still great between them. Now, Aiden is distant and Freya doesn’t know why, but she’s had enough and tells him so...just in time for a family trip to Hawaii, where they’ll have to make nice with each other for the sake of her parents’ anniversary celebration.

We don’t get nearly enough romances where the couple is already together and working through the real issues of marriage. This is an honest portrayal of a couple who desperately want to make things work, but aren’t sure how to fix the problems that have grown up between them. There is a subplot that I saw coming a mile away, and I’m not sure it was necessary to the story. But overall it’s a lovely book, sometimes extremely funny, featuring the antics of Freya’s many overgrown brothers. I love the Bergman family and look forward to the next book.

My Review: I was so excited when I discovered this book, not often do I find romances around an already established marriage that might be struggling a bit. While I love the concept of the story because it is something I could relate to (having been married for 14 years) but it ended up a bit too relatable and was difficult and painful at times to read. With that said, I absolutely loved Freya and Aiden, they are so in love with each other but clearly struggling to connect. I loved their commitment to making things work and overcoming their own personal battles. As someone who struggles with anxiety, this was a bit more eye-opening that I expected from a romance book and there were definitely times I had to put it down and ponder what Aiden's struggle was revealing about myself, maybe not something I wanted to face in what I was presuming was a light rekindle the romance book. I also had not read the previous two books in this series and it is definitely something I would recommend as this is clearly a family series and a very close knit family at that, we spend a lot of time with a group of very involved siblings that we should be familiar with already. I do think I will go back and read the rest of the series because I love the family dynamics of this group of characters.

My Rating: Do not go into this book expecting a light fluffy romance story, this is hard hitting, deep thought, discover yourself kind of book. I was not expecting to dive into anxiety issues, potential fertility issues and more when picking up this book and it was definitely a bit difficult to read at times. I do think it was all handled rather well though and really appreciated the effort on Liese's behalf. I give this one a rating of Three Paws and a Stump Wag.

The Bergman family is sure to steal your heart and soul with every new book. I don’t even know how to express my love for them and all the challenges and love and care they have for one another.

Freya and Aiden were the golden couple. They have been married for years and the Bergman brothers have always looked up to their relationship (and their parents) as what marriage should look like. Unfortunately, marriages are more work than some people realize, and Freya and Aiden are dealing with a really rough patch where outside life has taken precedence over their marriage. Freya is feeling alone and defeated and is nearing her end of her ability to handle the loneliness. Aiden is struggling to provide for his family the only way he knows how, while dealing with constant anxiety that is completely taking over his life.

The beginning of this story was truly heartbreaking and made me incredibly sad. It was heavy and definitely hurt. That being said, being a lover of Chloe’s work, I knew the pain she was showing would be handled with care and as a reader, she’d take us on a necessary journey that would end with healing, love and light. I can guarantee, I was not disappointed. We don’t often see romance featuring a couple that’s already married, and so, while the dynamic might have been different from that of a couple coming together for the first time, watching Freya and Aiden relearn each other and what their love looks like now after 10 years of marriage was really beautiful. The emotions felt real and raw, and the conclusion was one of love and hard work.

I love how organic the diversity and representation is in these stories, and how Chloe handles real, everyday experiences in such a beautiful, romantic way. The Bergman family holds such a fond place in my heart, and I cannot wait to continue reading about their journey together and apart.

I continue to be in awe of how incredible - and inclusive- Chloe Liese's novels are! I absolutely love being able to revisit the world of the Bergmans and the unique family dynamic they all share.

Ever After Always is an extra spicy slow-burn marriage in crisis contemporary romance novel that really digs deep into what happens in a marriage of almost 10 years. I found the story to be a raw and vulnerable
look into what could happen when two people stop communicating. There were also elements in the story that made it interesting.

The best parts of reading a series is when the previous characters return! And since they are a family, they return in the story quite often. While it can be standalone, it's better to read in order so you can really appreciate these moments!

Liese's writing keeps the pages turning and keeps the reader intrigued! There are funny parts but also very serious parts, and she is talented in finding the balance between those extremes!

This is a series I recommend to everyone, and I'm looking forward to the next book!

This installment of the Bergman Brothers follows the eldest sibling Freya and her marriage crisis with husband Aiden, who suffers from anxiety disorder. This was a change up from the usual romcom I like to read with the couple already being in a relationship however the book was well written, heartwarming and emotional. I was also happy to reconnect with characters from her two previous books and can't wait for the next book.⁣

Are you ready to read some hard truths about marriage? If not, then you need to read about it anyway. 
After finishing Ever After Always, I realize that marriage is some hard work. It takes time and dedication in maintaining a marriage. There will always be bumps in the road. No Marriage is perfect just like Adien and Freya marriage. 
I know that the Bergman family may be worried when they notice that Freya is becoming unhappy with her marriage. But it's up to Aiden and Freya to work out. They may need a little push from their family but all in all, it's them to make it work.
And there are some hard truths coming out when Aiden and Freya start to work on their marriage. It may hurt them but it's time to say it and face it. I truly enjoyed that Aiden and Freya were working it together but there were times that Freya really pissed me off. I am sorry to say but oh my goodnesses. I just could not handle her.  That was the only reason that I took a star away because I really could not handle Freya's attitude. Like Aiden is trying his best to make the world for you but you are not understanding why he is making it. He has told you before of his struggles that is why is trying his hardest to make sure you guys are stable. Like stop with your attitude. Sorry for my little rant but I could not handle her attitude at times. But Aiden and Freya are meant for each other. They may have gotten a little lost but that happens when you are continuing on growing. You just need to find yourself together again.

The story of Freya and Aiden is the “after” story. Been together for almost 10 years, their story gives you the most raw, honest, vulnerable definition of true love.

True to Chloe’s exceptional talent in storytelling, I love how she brings the readers to the ups and downs of Freya and Aiden’s love rollercoaster. There were parts of the story that made you think of your own (if you’re married). I love how she involves every character to the story. Though it deals with serious, sensitive and sometimes hurtful truth of marriage, the supporting characters brings some light and humor to the story. I love that about her storytelling style.

After I finished the book, I felt like I had a crash course of marriage handbook or a fun way of doing marriage counseling. I also love that Chloe is throwing some thoughtful insights about love and marriage.

To say that I enjoyed this book is the least way I could described it. I love every bit of it. In fact, I became a huge fan of Chloe. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. 💕

I accidentally read the second book before reading the first, but I am glad I did because it got me into the series more than the first one had! This is the third, but not final one of the series, and it was definitely my favorite. One of the reasons this may be is because I felt I could relate more to these characters.

Once again Chloe does an amazing job writing about people with disabilities that are sometimes invisible but not impossible to love. I also loved how in this book it wasn’t the female who struggled with the anxiety disorder, but the male, which is different from most books with this same representation.

On top of the beautiful representation and amazing connections within the book, Chloe does not forget to add a little tension and steam to spice things up.

I am excited to see where the next book takes us, and highly recommend this book especially to people who are in a relationship that deals with anxiety.

-this is the third installment in the Bergman's brothers serie and it was just like the first two a pure delight of a romance
-marriage in trouble trope with a great couple, i like that you can tell from the start that they're gonna pull through but they will have to work for it
- they were both so in love with each other but i felt each of them had very valid reasons for being distant and making mistakes
- the anxiety rep is pretty exceptionnal but i was not surprised since Chloe Liese truly is the best author in my opinion regarding mental illness and physical disabilities representation
- i love the Bergman family and i can't wait to read more about their romances
-this is truly a wonderful serie that is full of love, the romances are always realtisic, emotionnal and so romantic
-also sidenote but that cover is litterally everything to me, the body representation with Freya in a bathing suit with her little tummy showing gives me life

This was my first read from this author and it definitely won’t be my last. She writes beautiful dialogue and her characters feel very genuine. I came in on book 3 of the series but didn’t feel lost.

It’s a honest & believable look at a marriage in crisis. All the mess, pain and regrets. I really liked Aiden’s character and think I would have given an even higher rating if I connected more with Freya.

Special mention to the male characters reading romance books. It brought a smile to my face.

Ever After Always follows a married couple, Aiden and Freya. Freya is the sister of Ryder and Ren. I really have fallen in love with this family and these characters so I was very excited for this marriage in crisis romance. Aiden has anxiety and comes from a difficult past which is largely discussed in the book. Freya is plus sized which is only mentioned a couple of times but I love to see plus sized heroines on the cover of romance novels!! This book was slow moving and more serious than the others and wow I loved it. There is so much discussion about love and relationships and marriage. The couple goes to counselling and I love to see that. I also loved how there was more of the Bergman family. I loved how one of the brothers reads romance novels and gives one to Aiden to read. This story was just so heart warming and I really enjoyed it.

Ever After Always is Chloe Liese’s latest book about the Bergman siblings and it features the eldest of them all, Freya and Aiden. They’ve been together for 12 years and married for nearly 10 but what was once a relationship that was nearly perfect, it seems the marriage is starting to show some tears. Now Aiden and Freya must go down an unfamiliar path in their relationship if they want to make it work.
Ever Always After is not your typical romance, here boy and girl are supposed to be living the happily ever after and for awhile they were but real life problems starts testing the boundaries of what they thought was an unbreakable bond. This is one of the most heartbreaking and funny and very real depiction of the breaking point of a marriage. That even despite the love, one needs to really work for it and not just expect for it to be fine because the love is still there. Marriage requires effort to maintain and its the love one has for each other that makes you have the energy to do it. I love how Ms. Liese just tackled how easy it is to lose a marriage and how hard it is to maintain it but its also one of the most rewarding work you can ever achieve. Freya and Aiden are imperfect people who loves each other commits to each other everyday. Great romance!

Review: This was an emotional ride. I haven't read the other books in the series and don't think it's a necessity to have done so (though it will probably be helpful in understanding the family dynamics - which I found a little confusing. The brothers characterisation all kind of blended to me as well). Aiden and Freya were very easy to root for and I found myself very invested in their relationship. A few tears were shed! I did find it a little overlong and the dialogue trite at times but overall it's a nice grown-up tale about keeping a relationship strong as opposed to most romance books that focus on the beginnings of a relationship. I'm intrigued to read the rest of the books in the series.

I have loved Chloe Liese's books ever since reading the first two Bergman Brothers books last year.
This one is a Bergman Sisters book and it is a bit of a different romance as it focuses on Freya and Aiden's marriage that is in crisis.
Freya is the sassy oldest Bergman sibling and after being married to Aiden for almost 10 years, their marriage is hitting a very rough patch with no intimacy or communication. Aiden is the professor we saw set up Ryder and Willa in the first book and he's known for being a bit of a romance matchmaker. Unfortunately his anxiety and worries about being prepared for a future family has meant that he's shut down the communication and openness of his relationship with Freya.
After a hard shove from the loveable Bergman clan, Aiden and Freya begin a slow journey to repairing their relationship with counselling and a family trip to Hawaii.
This is a book that many readers will be able to relate to more than the happy ever after swept off your feet romances. This is a romance about true life struggles after the honeymoon faze and what needs to be done to keep them intact. This book tackles so many issues from anxiety to poverty to alcoholism and how they shape our lives. I love that Chloe always has characters that are real and suffer from things that aren't written about in romance novels.

I appreciated the last book of this series with Ren and Frankie but when it came to the solid couple, Aiden and Freya, my heart just melted so hard.

In some stories marriage is the end but in this one it’s only the beginning. After a decade being that strong couple who people rely on, Aiden and Freya would face some tough times and test their relationship.
A marriage in crisis with a strong hint of slow burn and angst.

Aiden and Freya had always a powerful chemistry and complicity, supportive and caring and their relationship was slowly drifting away, almost reaching the point of no return. In their journey to find their way back to the other, it would bring these two to put all the cards on the table, seeing the two sides how things got so hard for them to tell the truth to the other, to reveal their insecurities and downs.

Count on the Bergman family to remind them how strong they were, how they can fight this if they were willing to take a chance and not give up. Aiden felt hopeless and Freya had no hope. Their struggles broke my heart, as somehow as individuals losing some part of themselves along the way and consequently breaking apart.

I was rooting for these two during this battle, heartbreaking and emotional journey. It wasn’t easy and some truth needed to be told. I appreciated at times how you could see how great they were together, loving deeply and fiercely. I enjoyed some parts of lightness balancing greatly with the heavy times, proving that they couldn’t give up and fighting as a team, as partners.

You could sense all the love they had for the other, how hard it was to see your soulmate suffer and some parts could resonate with the readers making me more connected to them.

The author explored the complexity and difficulties of marriage or long term relationships with their ups and downs and dealing with mental health as well. A poignant and beautiful story, filled with so much love, genuine and honest.
