Ever After Always is a Bergman Sister Novel, focusing on Freya and her husband Aiden. Just shy of their 10th wedding anniversary, Freya and Aiden's marriage is in crisis. Enter the meddling (but well meaning) Bergman brothers, a Bergman family vacation to Hawaii and some serious work on their relationship. This story is emotional and moving, yet has so many funny and light-hearted (and a few steamy!) moments as well.

Like all of her other novels, Chloe has done an amazing job of writing real and relatable characters. Aiden lives with generalized anxiety disorder. As someone who also suffers from anxiety, I could really see my own thought processes and communication barriers in Aiden's character. I also appreciated the marriage-in-crisis theme; anyone who's been in a long-term relationship knows that it's work, and I would venture a guess that most everyone has felt at the end of their rope at one point or another. Watching Aiden and Freya work through things and start to find their way back to each other was really moving. Finally, Freya is a plus-size woman who is usually comfortable in her own skin, but admits that sometimes it's harder than it appears. As a plus-size woman myself, there's a few moments in this one that I felt to my core. It's a rare thing that I can relate to both characters so strongly; but even someone who doesn't feel such a strong connection will enjoy the human emotion and feelings poured into this one.

This was a stay up until 3 AM read for me. I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and it features moderate steam.

One romance trope I thought I would not like (prior to reading it) was marriage in crisis. I am married, but I thought why would I want to read about a troubled marriage?? Turns out I was wrong. I LOVE marriage in crisis romances! Chloe Liese’s latest release in The Bergman Brothers series is easily one of the most true to life marriage in crisis novels I’ve read.

I’ve been anticipating Freya and Aiden’s story since I first fell in love with the Bergman family. With all of Aiden’s matchmaking moments in Only When It’s Us, and then the hints at his marriage with Freya being in trouble in Always Only You, I had really high expectations for their book.

The Bergman’s have quickly become one of my favorite families in contemporary romance. They’re all so quirky, delightful, and true to life. Freya was the first that (to me) came off a little intense compared to her brothers, but by the end I really liked her a lot. I appreciated so many things about this story. The way marriage counseling was portrayed, the real life issues Aiden and Freya had, the accurate depiction of Aiden’s anxiety and how it affected their marriage. Per usual, Chloe nailed so many things about this story and made me want to stay with the Bergman’s for just a little longer. Especially all the scenes in Hawaii! This one was a slow burn with lots of sexual tension and steam, just the way I like it!

I ended up really enjoying Ever After Always, but I will say I struggled with the book at one point. One fun thing that’s happened all the stress from 2020 is that I cannot handle contemporary romances that are super stressful or heavy. The comparison to The Bromance Bookclub and All Your Perfects is spot on. There are a ton of funny moments with the meddling Bergman siblings, but the heavy moments were a lot for me when I read it.

This series was easily one of my favorites from last year. I highly recommend reading in order, especially before the next book comes out (I cannot wait for the next book!!!) 4.5 stars, 5 for Goodreads and Netgalley

Ever After Always is the third installment in the Bergman Brothers series. This marriage in trouble romance revolves around Freya, Bergman sister, and her husband Aiden. Readers met Aiden in book #1. It's nice to be back with the Bergman Clan. The family does meddle in this marriage but it is done in love. I enjoyed the banter throughout the story but the marriage counselor is my fav.

Last year I read both of Chloe Liese's 'Bergman Brothers' books and I was hooked. I knew I would devour anything she wrote. I couldn't wait to get another Bergman story and I was happy to find out that this one was Freya and Aiden's.

Freya and Aiden have been married almost ten years but recently, something has changed. They used to have such an easy love, and now things are difficult. So difficult that Freya asks Aiden to leave for a bit and give her some space. I completely felt for both of them. Marriage isn't always easy and I love reading books about what happens after. After the hea, the wedding, etc.

Though Aiden is swamped at work and Freya is still hurt with how much time he's been spending there, they go on a family vacation. Aiden knows this is his chance to make things right. Before the trip they see a marriage counselor and while on the beach, they see if they can make the necessary changes and reignite their spark.

I loved the romance between this couple and how even though they had their problems, I never felt like they didn't love each other or wouldn't make it. I also think the author did an incredible job with Aiden's anxiety rep and normalizing therapy is always a win. The biggest issue was miscommunication, which I think is pretty normal for a marriage in crisis book. I liked the way things worked out between them and I was fully invested in their story.

I love this family and this series so much! Always Only You was in my top 10 of 2020 so this had some big shoes to fill, and though it wasn't as good as Ren and Frakie's story for me, I'm so glad that it was still a 5 star read that I loved. Ever Always After is my first 5 star of the year. I love the family dynamic, the romance, the way the author handled Aiden's anxiety and the emotion. I can't recommend checking out this series enough.

This book. I honestly have a hard time putting into words how much I love it and what it made me feel. There are so rarely books I find about couples that are already married and what their romance looks like. I enjoy books that explore what it's like to find that someone and fall head over heels, but books like this are so special, too.

Freya and Aiden's marriage is failing and they are both hurting deeply. Marriage is hard and their struggles, emotions, and love felt so incredibly realistic.

Chloe Liese's writing style and character development are some of the best I've read. She creates characters you can see yourself in. Also, her descriptions of marriage and what is essential to make it work were so wonderful. I rarely highlight as I read but there were so many passages I loved.

While there are heavy moments as Aiden and Freya work on their relationship, there's also lots of fun and humor, too. I absolutely loved getting to spend time with the whole Bergman clan. Some of my favorite moments were Aiden spending time with Freya's brothers.

I cannot recommend this book, series, and author enough!

Yes, yes, I know. Here I am, over here fangirling over another AMAZING book! This is my first Chloe Liese book. And let me tell you, I am in LOVE. I am most definitely planning on reading the other books in this series cause WOW.

I was emotionally drawn in not only by the story & characters, but also the fact the book had it's own PLAYLIST where each chapter had it's own song! I swear that made my emotions pump up like 20x more than usual. I was bawling over the sad moments, squealing over the spicy moments, and laughing my booty off over the funny moments!

I swear, the Bergman family is seriously amazing. I wish I could have that big of a close family. I was laughing so hard I nearly choked at the brothers. They are SO funny!

Also, can I just say, everyone is so HOT. Like throw me a fan over here cause I am melting!!

So uh. I definitely recommend this if you couldn't tell already! 😂

A troubled marriage and Freya and Aiden they are near the brink of really separating. A grand gesture isn't going to fix the problem, instead both parties need to reexamine who they are, what they want, and really just start being honest with one another. The alternating view allows us to hear what they can't say to each other. exposing their fears, insecurities, hope, and love for each other. I haven't read the first two books in the series, and perhaps if I did, I would understand the story in greater depth, but I didn't feel it was necessary.

This is a great romance about a close knit family and people they love. This book is about the eldest of the Bergman’s, Freya and her tumultuous marriage to her husband Ian. The marriage in trouble trope is not normally my favorite by CL does a great job at balancing the issues between this couple with the individual issues they deal with that affect the marriage. This story has really great anxiety rep and a couple addressing issues through counseling.

What really sets this story (and series) apart is the Bergman clan. Freya’s brothers and their significant others sweetly if not imperfectly try to help and give support to both Freya and Aiden and were a great counterpoint to the emotion of the main conflict.

While I wouldn’t start with this book (you should definitely start with Only When Its Us) it is a really great story about marriage, family, secrets and redemption and whole heartily recommend it!

I appreciate that even though this is a marriage in crisis book, neither Aiden nor Freya were the "bad guy"... they both had their issues and they both resolved to work through them, even though there were a lot of ups and downs when it came to fixing their marriage. i will say that that it was pretty dark at the beginning and I wasn't sure if Freya was going to let Aiden in (which is good, especially from a book where we're guaranteed a HEA) but maybe with everything going on around us right now, I wanted light. It's still another winner from CL. Looking forward to the next Bergman book!

We get to revisit the Bergman family in Ever After Always following Feyre and Aidan. This novel is a marriage in crisis, slow burn opposites attract romance and it is so good! I loved the focus on an established relationship and the work it takes to make a relationship last. I loved the focus on communication and growing with your partner through the years. This novel can be read as a stand alone but I really recommend reading all of the books in this series. Chloe Liese writes inclusive romances and it is so nice to see representation in literature. Plus the Bergman family is so much fun!

This was such a cute story of a married couple, Aidan and Freya whose marriage is on the rocks. One of the most underrated tropes out there, I love the relationship between the two. The author did such a great job pulling you in the emotions, especially of Aidan- who loves his wife but has no clue how to fix his marriage.

I wish I had read the first 2 books. This is the 3rd book in a series, and although I didn't miss a beat with who the characters are, I wish I had read the other 2 books to get a better understanding of the other Bergman's in the family.

This may be the best marriage in crises story I’ve ever read! I rarely pick second chance romances because I’m such a cynical human being and I kinda don’t believe in them, but this book made even a cynical like me feel things! And oh how I felt every single emotion! That’s why Chloe Liese became an auto read author for me. To write a book like that? She’s just amazing. Seriously if you haven’t picked this series yet, do yourself a favour and check it out!

”We can’t possible hope to always live ‘happily’. But ‘ever after’? That we can hope for and choose. Because ‘ever after’ isn’t an idea. It’s a person—an imperfect person who’s perfect for you.” Her eyes search mine as she gives me one soft, tender kiss.

I’m not even in a relationship and I’ve learned so much from those characters. This couple is my goal. My idols. I wanna be them when I grow up. I wanna have that. That special kind of communication they reached. How both of them owned their mistakes instead of just blaming the each other. How they were not perfect, but still they were willing to actually try instead of just being stubborn, saying I’m done, or keep on hating each other. How neither of them was actually wrong, they just weren’t on the same wavelength for some time and that’s okay. All their problems came from really good intentions. And even in their lowest times, I could still feel their love.

The representations were just perfect. How Aiden talks about his anxiety. I felt that on a deeper level. He was just so good and so vulnerable and I just wanted to set and hug him for hours. I loved him. And how Freya talked about her body and her feelings. She’s just so freakin amazing. i loved seeing them willing to try to make things work. Everything about this book is so relatable and so real and just so beautiful. The whole series is nothing less than perfect. Oh and I loved seeing the whole Bergman family again!! This family is the best!

I almost cried when I read that we’re finally getting Axel’s book next!!! And that last scene? I’m already jumping from excitement!!

I thought this was more real as it dealt with an already married couple who was dealing with life changes and didn’t communicate about their struggles or needs, where as the first two books were more about getting to know their characters as they fell in love. I enjoyed their journey and seeing their walls come down as they got to know each other again. ⁣I also loved the references to other romance books, and one is pictured here! 📖

This is a book that will have you roaring in laughter, cussing up a storm, fanning yourself from that STEAM, and falling in love all over again.

Apparently marriage-in-crisis is a trope I love? It’s a recent discovery so bear with me.

I love everything I’ve read from Chloe Liese. The Bergman Brothers series has me feeling every emotion! I went through this book as a plus-sized woman and someone with anxiety. I struggled with parts that hit so strongly and deeply, I had to take a pause. Freya’s thoughts and discussion of her body are the same that I have felt over the years. Aiden’s anxiety, especially over the topics that he was anxious over were so real and grounded that I felt for him in the pit of my soul.  These are definitely characters I will forever hold in my heart.

This series gets better and better. I can’t wait for Ever After Always to also be on audio so I can binge them all again! This is one of my favorite romance series of the year and I highly recommend!

This book is best read with a cup of hot tea, cat snuggles, or on the beach.

Another wonderfully written book by Chloe Liese!

In this one, we are following the story of Aiden and Freya who are married for almost ten years. Their marriage start to slowly fall apart but fortunately, Aiden realizes this soon and ask Freya to go to a marriage counselor with him. They also go on a family vacation together with all the Freya's family.

I like how the author portrayed Aiden's anxiety and the progress they had to make to start falling in love with each other again. Individually, I wish I liked Freya more. I feel like Aiden has done more progress for both of them. He also learned more from the past mistakes. Freya was just... there. I really didn't see any learning from her part which just proved me right at the ending when she almost destroyed what they rebuilt together.

I love seeing the brothers. I can't wait to read the book about Axel (or was it Alex? The father and son have similar names) - anyway, I mean the son, obviously :D

Otherwise, I think this book is a great recommendation for readers who love any kind of second chances because Ever After Always is full of them. I also love how unique their therapist was :)

I want to start this off by saying if you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, go do it! And even if you haven’t, this could be read as a standalone.

I already loved Freya and Aiden from the other books, and it was cool to get a look under the covers of their true dynamic and relationship. You can feel their pain, their longing, their frustration as the marriage gets rocky. The entire Bergman clan ends up on a family vacation together and you know they can’t help but mettle in Freya and Aidens business. But vacation and home life are two different things.

I feel the author made some great choices in discussions around normalcy of communication, sex etc in marriages and also with mental health challenges. A lot of really relatable moments!

You know what I love about the Bergman Brothers series? The stories feel real and so relatable. And Ever After Always, a sister edition, was no exception.

I have loved Aiden from day one. And if you’ve read the other books in this series you’ll know he’s a romantic at heart. You’ll also know there was some tension in his marriage with Freya. Well, deciding to try for a baby has put Aiden’s anxiety in overdrive. He’s thrown himself into work, leaving Freya to feel alone, and neither of them seem to be able to communicate effectively. Now they have a getaway vacation to fake through with Freya’s whole family. And they wonder if they will even have a marriage once leaving paradise.

This story has SO MUCH packed into it. Some fantastic emotion. You’ll feel such empathy, at the same time frustration. Freya and Aiden are such opposites, but are they really? While this story was often serious, and sometimes sad, it was also heartwarming and humorous. Those Bergman brothers will have you laughing out loud. Not to mention that parrot. I’m chuckling right now thinking of it.

This story is a slow burn, but has some serious steamy chemistry. Aiden loves Freya so much. And even if he doesn’t always show it well, you felt it coming in waves off the pages. The amount of love you felt in this book period from this whole Bergman clan was just so heartwarming. I truly can’t wait to see where the author takes us next with this family!

This is book 3 in the Bergman Series and could be read on its own, but you will get a better reading experience in my opinion if you read the first two!

Ever After Always is engaging, heartfelt, and emotional. There are some tough topics addressed in this marriage in trouble story, some that really hit home for me personally. Although serious at times, we still get a lot of laughs and swoons from these characters, and the family dynamic is excellent. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I will read more.

My favorite book in the series so far. I use to hate the marriage in crisis trope, because I found couples love stories boring once they get together. Somehow they lose their appeal, but in the last year I've been reading more books with established couples trying to fix their marriage and I've come to crave the angst that comes with it. Freya and Aiden's story is no different. It was heartbreaking to see two people still so much in love with each other but totally failing to communicate with each other due to their own fears and insecurities.

I adore the Bergman family, but sometimes in this book I was also really annoyed with them, because every time Freya and Aiden made a step forward in fixing their relationship, something happened or one of the other Bergmann interrupted them when they had an intimate moment and I could have screamed of frustration!! It was one step forward, three steps back and urg it made me crazy. For the most part, I still loved the family dynamics between the Bergmann family and I want them to adopt me. <3

Can't wait to read Axel and Rooney's book!!

Ever After Always was an enjoyable second chance romance. I thought Aiden and Freya were very well-written; both as individuals and as a couple. Lack of communication can sometimes feel frustrating, but it felt very understandable when both Freya and Aiden showed the reasons they retreated from one another. If one felt like something might hurt the other, they kept things to themselves. Unfortunately, there's only so many times you can do that before it turns into keeping everything important from each other.

After they unofficially made the decision to try to fix things, I really liked seeing them slowly unravel the harmful habits they got accustomed to in their marriage. Not only did they remember the reasons they fell in love in the first place, but they learned new things about one another and grew to love that as well.

The tropical family-filled setting was also entertaining. Freya's brothers brought some great comedic relief while at the same time showing how much they wanted to help save the marriage. They were a good balance of annoying and endearing lol.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!
