When will there ever be a Rebel Girls book for which I don't write the feedback as "fantastic"? Never!!!
I have read and loved the first three volumes of the Rebel Girls series and this special edition continues in the same format. The book informs little ones about 25 extraordinary leaders who had humble beginnings and worked hard to make their dreams come true. While some of the names are historical and some have been included in the earlier books, there are eleven noteworthy new names added in this edition. I was especially happy to see the inclusion of Jacinda Ardern and Kamala Harris in the Rebel family.
As always, a wonderful read and a worthy addition to your little one's library.
I love this book and believe it is perfect for any young teen. It provides the story of successful females that empowers the young mind. It includes activities that the teens can do to see what kind of activist they are. Also there is a page for the teen to add themselves to the book and write a short description about themselves. Overall I think this is a perfect gift for any teen to help motivate them to dream bigger.
A great compilation of real-life stories from inspiring women including Ali Raisman, Harriet Tubman, Jacinda Ardern, Kamala Harris, Lady Gaga, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Pat Summit, Xiye Bastida and more.
From sport personalities to activists, lawyers, business women and government leaders, this book features a list of inspirational role models for young girls and boys too. While some of the stories are duplications from the first three volumes of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, it is a worthwhile read for those who may be new to the Rebel Girls series.
The book is written in an engaging way, and features stunning illustrations with a quiz section and a little page for children to write their own stories. Thank you to NetGalley for the review copy.
