This is the second installment in the updated Monster MASH series, and although I really enjoyed it- part of me really wishes I could punch Galen right in the mouth. This book starts off with her seeing Medusa for a surprise pregnancy, and him being called to the front. Like an idiot, he won’t tell her how, where, how long, or any little details. Just. Dumps. Her. (See? desire to punch) Instead of wallowing, she ends up with a new set of prophecies, and old lover back from the dead, and another set of gods hellbent on killing. Basically, just another day for this MASH.
The pace was great, the story was well written and fun to read, and overall- this was another great book to read. I know book 3 will be here soon, and I’m excited.
This is the second installment in the Monster mash trilogy., I'm not sure why it's described as a funny romantic comedy- it's not particularily funny, not really a comedy and has plenty of gruesome deaths. I would classify it as Urban Fantasy. That said I really enjoyed reading it, but i'm a fan of Urban Fantasy.
Galen ships out and dumps Petra. Next thig you know her ex Marc shows up, alive and well and working on a mass murder weapon in the Old God's army. They team up to find and destroy a biological weapon that can wipe out all humanity.
Didn't expect Petra to switch boyfriends in the second book- we'll see what happens in the third.
Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of THE TRANSYLVANIA TWIST (Book 2 of the Monster Mash) by Angie Fox in exchange for an honest review. The MASH unit of the New Gods’ Army is using the cease fire to treat medical conditions not caused by the war. Dr. Petra Robichaud is happy with the state of affairs until her lover is recalled to the front and her dead fiancé shows up demanding her assistance. Petra once again finds her life being directed by prophecy and in a mad scramble to save the world and humanity from the gods who have enslaved armies to do their bidding.
I liked this book. It was entertaining, and I look forward to the next in the series. I recommend this book to fans of humorous urban fantasy featuring medical and war themes.

I didn't know that this was the second book in a series until I read it. Never read the first book in the series but I followed it well enough. It's funny and sexy. Totally LOL. The heroine is sassy. The plot is exciting and hilarious. Loved it.

The Transylvania Twist is the second (& best, so far) book in The Monster MASH Trilogy by Angie Fox. It works really well as a standalone book, but don't miss out on the incredible-ness of the first book The Monster MASH. It's definitely worth the read.
Set in a military medical hospital in Limbo during the War of the Gods, this book takes us on a wild adventure filled with twists and turns, end of the world level threats, and an unexpected pregnancy.
I absolutely loved this book. It was fast paced with lots of adventure. Petra, the main character, is so brave and selfless and such an incredible heroine (even if she doesn't realize it). I love that there is so much humor woven into the story line.
This is one of those books that you can't put down once you start reading. It is so good! I can't wait for the next book in the series, Werewolves of London, to release in February 2021. It's bittersweet because I want to know what happens next, but I don't want this series to end!
I'm so grateful to Angie Fox, Author Collective 20, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
OK...I was confused...This was previously released as Immorally Embraced way back in 2013-ish. Everything here indicated it was a "new" book but damn, it seemed familiar. So be aware this is actually a re-packaged story. I read it back in 2017 and rated it 3 stars...thanks to goodreads for jogging my memory.
