The story of Poles in immigration. Quite a stereotypical image of immigrants and not enough London for this graphic novel to be called London. A slight disappointment.
Rambling story of undocumented workers in the UK working under the table on construction jobs. The main character is Polish, and there is also someone from Syria, and a bunch of British guys, and It is all a jumble, and I have no idea what the point of the story is other than life is hard for undocumented workers.
Story rambles on, and then just ends, and I can't say for sure what the whole point of it all was.
So, not for me, but might be for others.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
What on earth have I just read?!?!
Umm.... not keen on this book at all!! Not at all what I expected, I don't think I am this graphic novels target audience.
I wanted to see more imagery of London!
Not for me!
An interesting exploration of immigrant culture and an important read for those looking to understand more about why people immigrate, whether documented or not. A short story that could have used a bit more fleshing out, though.
