Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for this review. I did not know when requesting this book that it was part of a series. It is the seventeenth book in the series. Brendan is a professional who ends of adopting some cats, Tom being one of them. Tom is a heathen. Tom gets Brendan is some trouble with a water nymph named Tessa. Some trouble is brewing in Cat’s Paw Cove and it forces Brendan and Tessa to work together. This book was unique that’s for sure.

Princess Fuzzypants here: If you are looking for something light, quick and fun, this book may suit you. I read it in one go over a couple of hours and it was just what I needed- an enjoyable escape. It is part of the Cat’s Paw Cove series that mixes romance with magic and talking cats. I have become very fond of this series.

This one starts in Orlando where Brendan discovers his girlfriend two-timing. He breaks up with her on the spot but she is not one to take rejection. She is a swamp nymph and she follows him to Cat’s Cove to bring him home. He is having nothing to do with it. In fact, he has met another woman whom he fancies like crazy. This turns out to be his former sweetie’s cousin and it does not go over well with the spurned lover.

As with the other books, there is a lot of feline magic going on and Brendan is introduced to it in a big way when he discovers three housemates. Harry, the fast talking leader of the clowder and his brothers Dick and Harry force Brendan the man of science, to confront his own magical roots as they introduce themselves. This is but the start of a journey of discovery for Brendan as he explores his own abilities and those of others around him while trying to stay out of the clutches of his ex. He and Tessa must work together to undo the damage her cousin has perpetrated and in the process fall in love.

As usual, it is frothy and airy and a whole lot of fun. Five purrs and two paws up.

Cat's Caw Cove is a special place where magical beings can live more or less out in the open. This may include ghosts, talking cats and even a leprechaun. This book can be read as a standalone. Various authors have come together to write stories about different characters in this idyllic town. It is cute and corny in the best of ways.

This book features one of the Redbirds again. Brendan is here to visit his grandmother and his sister. What he doesn't expect is to find a woman he wants to date after a heartbreaking disaster of his last relationship.

This story moves along quickly and the quirky characters are funny and sometimes over the top. Brendan is the only one who is "human" and this woo-woo stuff makes him crazy. However, as events unfold, Brendan has to reconcile his science side with his magical heritage.

The pace of this book is fast as we are rushed through Brendan's coming of age into his magic and other abilities. This is all mixed with a crazy ex-lover, estranged father, pregnant sister and 3 talking cats who adopt him. This book kind of feels like I'm taking an acid trip. Or maybe this is what people feel like when they are getting high. Speaking of high, 2 of the cats in this story definitely get high on catnip to their detriment.

This story is chock full of humour, snarky responses, possessive females and mischievous fae. It is a quick read and a hilarious ride. This sweet romance is recommended to readers who want something light and fun to entertain them for a few hours.

This book series is so lovely. I found this book no exception, it just a cute, fun, light and humorous story. Great characters, this can be read as a stand-alone, yeah there are characters from the other books but you wouldn’t be lost of you haven’t read them. It’s simply great escapism, a humorous paranormal romance

Super fast paced. The writing was a little confusing at times but not bad. The entire plot takes place over a few weeks and everything is resoled quickly but still interesting. Overall not bad for a supernatural romance.

The newest addition in the Cat’s Paw Cove series is imagination can go wild as it is a town that includes all types of supernatural beings together in one place. As this is the first novel that I read in this series, it seemed to have one magical being appear after another to be chaotic while still somehow making sense. You do not have to read the other books in the series to understand what is occurring in this novel. However, it would be useful as you would get more information about the area that is the setting for each of the previous additions. It is an easy read that is very fun to read as it is light-hearted and a true escape from reality, even though, it takes place in the contemporary world.

Brendan is pain management registered nurse at a facility in Orlando, Florida. While visiting the Wetlands National Park, he instantly falls for a tour guide, Naomi. The two of them share a whirlwind romance and he is ready to propose to her after only dating for a short time. However, the night he decides to propose, Brendan finds Naomi with another man and breaks things off from her. He takes a trip to Cat’s Paw Cove to visit his very pregnant twin sister, Charlotte. Brendan believes he is in the clear with his break-up with Naomi, but she is ready to get him back at any cost. No man can resist her and will always return if they try to leave as she is a wetland nymph; a fact that is unknown initially to Brendan.

One day during his stay in Cat’s Paw Cove, he is adopted by three Sherwood Cats – Tom, Harry, and Dick. Sherwood cats are magical talking beings and Brendan is in denial that they are really talking to him as he is in denial about magic. However, little does he know that magic is all around Cat’s Cove and he is surrounded by different paranormal beings and it is not limited to talking cats! The more time that he spends in the town, the more beings he discovers, including naiads and leprechauns! Brendan meets Tessa while visiting his grandmother at the nursing facility and instantly feels attracted to her. At first, he does not realize that she is also a nymph (a water one). Brendan tries to make scientific sense of his attraction and it is something that only magic can explain.

Naomi shows up in Cat’s Paw Cove and chaos ensues as there is a mysterious illness that takes over the town along with Tessa and Naomi both interested in the same man. Brendan is the key to bringing healing to the town, but he cannot do this unless he comes to terms with his own magical abilities. The bulk of the story is Brendan’s journey to finding out more about his magic and the struggle between magic and science. The reader also goes on the journey about which nymph, if any, Brendan will choose in the end. Overall, it is an entertaining read that borders on the ridiculous at times, but that is what makes it fun.

This story was very light-hearted and there are a few twists along the way that make it even more enjoyable. It is a short read and the story has a great flow as you move through Brendan’s story. The characters are all a delight and it would be fun to read more from this series to see about each of their stories, and other characters that weren’t included in this novel. It is a short read, which is both good and bad, as you get through everything while enjoying the novel, but there are times where you wish there were a little more backstory or details just to give the events a little bit more overall. If you’re in the mood for a fun escapist read, then this would be a story for you as it puts the magic in an amusing environment where cats can talk and are “top dog.”

**I give a special thank you to NetGalley, CPC Publishing, and the author, Sharon Buchbinder, for the ARC to read and review. The opinions expressed are completely my own.**

Brendan Redbird has had his share of bad break-ups but his latest one hits him hard. He flees, traveling down to Cat’s Paw Cove to visit his sister and their grandmother. He’s sure his sister is playing a practical joke when three cats in his rented house start speaking to him. When she explains the truth behind Cat’s Paw Cove, he doesn’t believe her at first. But when he meets beautiful Tessa, he falls hard for the water nymph. Disaster strikes Cat’s Paw Cove when the enchanted felines contract a mysterious illness. Could it be poison or something worse? Brendan and Tessa will have to work together to find the cure. Can they also heal each other’s hearts to let love in?

Healed With a Kiss is a delightful, fun, humorous paranormal romance from start to finish. We met Brendan at his sister’s wedding (Taken by the Imp) and it was so much fun to see his strait-laced world unravel. He’s a good guy and the chemistry between him and Tessa is electrifying. From the hilarious dialogue to the sweeping romance to the daddy issues to the mystery, the plot pacing is perfect. I liked it so much, I read it in one sitting. If you’re looking for a paranormal romance so absorbing, you’ll forget where you are, pick up Healed With a Kiss. I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for Sharon Buchbinder and Cat’s Paw Cove. Highly recommend!

Another fun trip to Cat's Paw Cove. The story starts with Brendan falling for Naomi, a woman in Orlando's swamps near his home. What he doesn't realize is that she is a naiad - a nymph. Brendan is ready to propose to her when he discovers her with someone else. Hurt, though maybe not as brokenhearted as he thinks, Brendan heads off to Cat's Paw Cove to visit his very pregnant sister, Charlotte (Charlotte Redbird, Ghost Coach). Angry at being dumped, Naomi swears to get him back.

On arriving in the Cove, Brendan is adopted by three Sherwood cats - Tom, Dick, and Harry. Freaked out by their talking to him, Brendan believes that his sister is playing a trick on him. You see, Brendan doesn't believe in magic. He is a medical professional and man of science, and magic doesn't make sense. During his visit, he must also face his father, whom he still resents for leaving after his mother died in childbirth. Complicating matters further, he falls fast and hard for Tessa, yet another nymph. Brendan feels ambushed by magic no matter which way he turns - and then Naomi shows up.

I had to laugh at Brendan's first encounter with Tom and his brothers. His frustration and bewilderment leaped off the page and only got worse when he confronted Charly about it. He tried so hard to find a scientific explanation, and it wasn't happening. I loved his first meeting with Tessa, helped along by Tom's mischievousness. What looked promising that evening turned to disaster the next morning when Tessa showed up just as Naomi made her move on Brendan. In another scene that tests Brendan's scientific beliefs, he makes up with Tessa.

But things are about to get really crazy in the Cove. Tessa's fountain turns to slime, Naomi lurks about trying to steal Brendan back, and the cats of the Cove suddenly start to bark instead of talk. With his grandmother's help, Brendan and Tessa must find a way to combine science and magic to cure the cats. At the same time, Brendan faces some uncomfortable facts about his past and what he believes. I loved the support that Tessa provides as he adjusts to the changes in his life.

Not to be forgotten, Naomi is still determined to get Brendan back in her clutches. Some of her actions have far-reaching consequences that Brendan and Tessa must find a way to mitigate. My heart was in my throat as Charly was one of those affected, and they raced to save her life. There was an intense scene as Naomi's attempt to kidnap Brendan goes awry (for her). I loved Tessa's revelation of why Naomi's actions were so extreme and the difference it made to Naomi.

I loved the ending as Brendan faces a new chapter in his life. I loved seeing him accept that science and magic can coexist and the difference it made to his family relationships. The scene at the Valentine's Ball was fantastic.

Science meets magic in this delightful addition to Cat’s Paw Cove. In this sweet tale Brendan Redbird, RN falls for the wrong girl and thus starts him on the path of finding his future if he can get his head out of his butt (yes I know anatomically impossible) and open his heart to the possibility of magic. Talking cats, magic and love make this the perfect tale for your Valentines Day. Though this is part of a series it can be read standalone.

You can't go wrong with any of the books from this series. It is heartwarming to visit familiar characters and get to know new ones. Who would think that so much hilarity occurs at a paranormal nursing facility! When finding a mate opens one to his emerging powers the possibilities are endless. Even the naughty characters are redeemable in this tale of love at Cat's Paw Cove.
