Haddie lives near a biscuit factory that is not quite what it seems... When orange monsters appear from a hole ripped into another dimension Haddie knows it's up to her to save the world.
A great read aloud book, assuming you can stop laughing long enough to get your words out. James Harris is hilarious without being try-hard and Haddie is a great protagonist. I feel this one won't spend long on the classroom shelf.
This is mad (in a great way)! A town filled with quirky characters and weird goings on. Fast paced and surprisingly complex for younger audience and the illustrations are lovely! My daughter and I LOVED it!!!
Increasingly funny and amusing, both my 11 year old son and me were laughing throughout… :) Very funny, and clever humor.
A completely bonkers book but one with hilarious events and a fast paced adventure!
Haddie is the main character and she is very confident and gutsy! She is boldly stepping out of her comfort zone and into a strange world where big fluffy orange monsters roam around.
Can Haddie save her town from these creatures? She and an eclectic cast of characters will keep you laughing and guessing all the way to the end!
Fantastically funny and completely bonkers! Will definitely appeal to most 9 year olds and older!
In Haddie’s hometown of Normalton, there is a biscuit factory that definitely isn’t a front for a top secret science lab. The orange fluffy monsters that have started appearing out of thin air certainly aren’t there and there is definitely nothing weird going on in Normalton. Haddie and her friends absolutely do not have to save the world armed with nothing but an electric guitar. This hilarious madcap adventure is nothing short of completely bizarre. As well as a celebration of imperfection and friendship, The Unbelievable Biscuit Factory is a horrifically accurate depiction of how humans choose to ignore the rapidly imploding reality around us. Completely ridiculous but fantastic fun!
A fun romp with plenty of madcap mayhem, children aged 7+ will enjoy this adventure. Short chapters and humorous characters reminded me of diary of a wimpy kid, especially with the mini- monologues.
This is a really really fun book. The main character is a little bit confident to say the least, and she runs a band. Just as band practice has started there is a tear in reality...and everything goes a bit crazy! But surely that wouldn’t happen in Normaltown?!!
This is a nice short book that is just full of fun and adventure!
My thanks to Netgalley and Hachette Children's Group for the advance copy!
