Very intrigued with this part of the novel, Will definitely explore more.
Thanks a lot to NG and the publisher for this copy.

A really interesting and intriguing opener which has whetted my appetite for learning more about Helen, Daniel and Rachel and their situation. The summer heat is palpable and the letter to the prison adds a sense of tension and expectation. I will read this when it is published.

Wow! What a start! There are so many questions about what is going on in this story and exactly what Rachel is all about. We get a good picture of Helen and her set up, how wll she and Rachel go on to interact? Brilliant, intriguing and definitely draws you in and makes you want to find out more. Looking forward to reading the whole book!

A great start. This extract certainly is enough to make me want to buy and read the full book. The characters emerge quickly and the writing style makes you feel the characters emotions.

A sample is such a tease but a good intro as to if you are going to love this book or not.
I know this is right up my street so looking foward to reading in full.

This was only a very brief sample of the book so hard to judge what the book will be like. Saying that I am interested to find out what will happen next with the development of the characters and their relationships.

Early Extract....
Tense, intriguing and a promise of much to come. I look forward to reading the full draft.

Love this extract! I savored every word of the story. I really want to know more about Helen and how things turn out for her. This is an exciting start of a thriller and I have so many guesses about what happens next! I loved all of the detailed descriptions of Greenwich Park. Really made me feel like I was there. Unfortunately I was. Only able to get this extract for review and I am crossing my fingers and toes I get the full novel to read and review.

A tense and I intriguing first chapter. The setting, given through the address of the prison shows that some kind of crime has been committed. The identity of the inmate is not given, making the reader curious as to who they are. It is also clear from the numerous rhetorical questions that the prisoner has not been in contact with the person they are writing to’ making us wonder why and what they have done.
This remains in mind as we are introduced to Helen and Rachel. These two are convincingly portrayed and the contrast between them is delightful. I am left wondering how their relationship will develop, where it will lead and how it will link back to the letter at the start. I am fascinated to learn the rest of the story and, based on the extract, would definitely recommend to other mystery lovers.

This novel starts with a letter from an unknown author in prison to the main character, Helen. They are not convinced she will read it and accuse her of the ‘invented quality’ of remembrance that Helen has for their incarceration. Then at an ante-natal class, Daniel an unreliable husband, misses the appointment due to work pressures and an anxious and over-heated Helen (attending with pregnant Sister-in-Law and Brother) meets Rachel who is described in disparaging terms and an uneasy familiarity is created. I’d be intrigued as to how this pans out.

This was a gripping read with excellent descriptive text and interesting characters. In this short extract, we see Helen attend her first antenatal class where she encounters Rachel for the first time, followed by a chance meeting where Helen is left feeling puzzled and slightly alarmed by Rachel’s brash behaviour. I very much look forward to reading the full title.

This sample of Greenwich Park was quite addictive to read. I felt like I could feel the summer heat when reading it, loved the underlying tensions between certain characters and want to know more and hope there are some secrets that will be revealed in the full book. For such a short read it was full of atmosphere and the sense that something wasn’t quite right. I will definitely be interested in reading the book when released.

This feels like a brutal, sharp, slick read. I thoroughly enjoyed this sample and will be downloading the full book when it’s published. Even with the sample I can tell the unreliable narrative of the characters is deftly and compellingly done. The pacing feels fast without being rushed, an underlying sense of menace and breadcrumbs of suspicion run through the dialogue certainly keeps you hooked and turning the pages. I love how the start is set in the deepest summer, you can feel the oppression of the heat as the novel opens, it sets the tone of discomfort.
