A lovely contemporary romance story. The main characters were charming and kept the story flowing easily and charmingly. It's a slow burn romance with some unexpected challenges that gave the characters more depth. They are so well suited and the chemistry was beyond fun to read as they both have walls up against deep feelings. The romantic element of the story I felt from beginning to end and the romance just really made these two characters great. There were a few continuity issues that I felt could have been tighter and more cohesive when it came to the back stories of each main. Tightening those up would have made certain aspects more rich as a couple of times I questioned rather than just got it. But thankfully those things didn't detract from the core friendship and romance that grows between the two and moreso even my enjoyment of watching their relationship grow. I also enjoy how the writing of P. Dangelico never labored on but rather kept moving forward and stayed central to the love story and the main characters focusing on them and not outside influences. It made the story mature and well developed and the characters more easy to love. This is a great romance book, perfect for a well read afternoon. I hope we get to see more from this Dangelico realm of the book world.

Wow, just wow! Brilliant! Such a gem of modern romance! I would highly recommend this even to people who don’t usually read romance, trust me, there is something for everyone,
Went into this with moderate expectations. Romance these days, you can anticipate almost anything, like reading same book where characters have just changed their names. Well, not this one!
Loved it. Simple as that. Emotional depth and topics covered, character development, just emotions. I gave me all of them, you go through a rollercoaster of them... It is rare to find this kind of depth to romance characters! None of the flaws usually attributed to romance.
We follow both Riley and Jordan on their personal journeys with same interest as the slow burn relationship developed. It’s lovely to see all the flaws of human behavior so well written into this emotional story. You can’t but not root for them! It’s honest, raw, complex and talks about all different kinds of strength and loyalty, simply beautiful.

5 Stars for this emotional read!
I went through every emotion while reading this book ... I cried, I laughed, I was mad, I hurt and I swooned. It's not often a book can surprise me and this book certainly did! I did not expect the reason why Jordan was so closed off and the reason why Riley and Tommy were such good friends. There were twists and turns I just did not see coming. I'm not sure whether Riley saves Jordan or Jordan saves Riley ... maybe both. And I always love a book with kids and Maisie is just a little sweetie.
Jordan and Riley meet when she saves him from being beat to a pulp by two hoodlums. A week later, Jordan finds himself responsible for a toddler and he offers Riley the job of caring for her at a price she can't refuse. Riley takes the job because once again, Tommy's in trouble and she feels the need to bail him out. But Riley never thought she would fall for the brooding billionaire as they are from completely different worlds ... just ask Jordan's mom.
