Having read Gillian's debut novel last year I was excited to read her next novel. I absolutely loved it so the bar was high for this book. She smashed it!! I loved this one even more!

Claire Bailey feels invisible. Her family barely look at her. Her boss and his new prodigy barely have time for her. He's moved her office into a coat cupboard. Her car has broken down and whilst her husband is driving a flash car to impress, she had to take the bus. One morning she ditches work and gets on the special bus to the talent competition where she reads her poems. A phone call a few days later asking her to consider being a .....

Oh my word this is such a fun read. Some of the characters she meets along the way are just hilarious. Brilliantly written. I just love Gillian's style of writing. As an older woman I could relate to feeling invisible and I found it so uplifting that she did something about it. It's a big fat YES from me.
