1. Initial Thoughts/Expectations
I must tell you; I received an advanced copy of this book to provide an honest review of the work. I am a HUGE Katie Reus fan and have read a lot of her books. I did not even read the blurb on the back. I fully expected a book that would draw me in and hold me to the end.

2. What I Loved
The author did not disappoint me. Falling for Irish is the first book in a new MacArthur Family Series and I absolutely loved it. From the start, there was action. As things began unfolding, the main female character – Kathryn Irish – is not only trying to complete her mission, but also not get caught by the man she once loved – Daniel MacArthur. The chemistry between these two is still off the charts but their relationship is a thing of the past…or is it? Daniel MacArthur cannot forget Kathryn, don’t understand why they broke up, and is determined to get her back. I love a man who clearly knows what he wants and goes for it. As the story plays out, we get to explore what is wrong about their relationship and what is right. I find myself rooting for Daniel to get his way. There is danger, but that makes the book even more enticing to me. I love that there was suspense mixed in with all this heat. I was hooked once I started reading.

3. What I Did Not Love
In my opinion, there was little not to like about this book. The main conflict of this story was based on incorrect interpretations of a single event. The one thing that gets my goat in general is when a relationship is ruined simply because the main characters do not discuss their feelings. Now, I must say, I shy away from confrontations in my life so maybe that is why I do not like it in the books I read.

4. Final Thoughts
I am excited for any book that is written by this author. I fully expect this series to be another that will continue to draw me in and warm my heart. I am already emotionally invested. I totally recommend this book if you love a good love story with strong characters, a supporting family, and danger around the corner. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!! GREAT JOB Ms. Reus.

A contemporary romance from Katie Reus. If you enjoy Katie Reus you'll enjoy this one. Romance & just a touch of suspense

Katie Reus is always a safe bet for a good and entertaining story. This novella was no different. It didn't feel like a novella because the hero and heroine knew each other and had a relationship before the book. Daniel and Kathryn were enjoyable to read about. I actually enjoyed the suspense portion a little more than the romance portion.

Daniel MacArthur could not understand why Kathryn Irish ended things with him 2 months ago. The handsome businessman has been unable to get the beautiful redhead out of his mind. In the meantime, Kathryn herself is angry and heartbroken over their doomed relationship. When fate has them meeting again, neither can deny their chemistry. But more is exploding between them than desire – someone appears to be targeting Kathryn for violence…
WOW – talk about a great way to introduce a new series! Daniel and Kathryn are the type of characters you crave in a romantic suspense book – strong, passionate, smart and hot! The story moves along at the perfect pace, quickly revealing the Daniel and Kathryn’s feelings for one another and exposing the danger surrounding them. However, the story is not rushed at the risk of missing important plot points. Ms. Reus’s trademark steamy scenes are sprinkled throughout, as well as moments of heart-pounding action.
As a bonus, the reader gets “introduced” to the MacArthur and Irish siblings. I totally peeked ahead – I know that Sienna, Brodie and Carson will be front and center in the future books in this series. My appetite for the next book has been whetted and I cannot wait. Great book!

Falling for Irish is the first book in the new MacArthur Family Series by Katie Reus. I've thoroughly enjoyed every romantic suspense series by this author and this is no exception. Sizzling chemistry between Kathryn and Daniel with just the right amount of mystery and intrigue thrown in to make it quite entertaining and riveting. It is a novella length and I read it in one sitting, but mostly because I couldn't put it down. The plot moves along nicely but it feels like I've read a full-length novel. Looking forward to reading about the other MacArthur family members! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

For anyone how struggles with figuring out the length of a book this author lets you know right away. If the story is a full length novel or a novella.

Falling for Irish is a novella the author is able to pack a whole lot of story in a few amount of words. Katie Reus has always out sex scenes in her books no matter the length and Falling for Irish is no expectation. Readers will either love or hate this apart about the author writing style.

The mystery isn't as easy as it first appears. Readers are also introduced to several different characters the author will be using in her upcoming book by the amount of appearances are made.

With all Katie Reus books the story moves quickly. Readers can finish it in a few short hours.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for an advance copy of Katie Reus Fighting for Irish.

Falling for Irish is the first in the newest MacArthur Family Series by Katie Reus. I love her paranormal series but enjoy her contemporary romances too. This has an element of suspense and danger but it is more billionaire romance than romance suspense. It is also a novella so it can e read in an afternoon with no problem. This is good because once I started I didn’t want to stop until the conclusion. In fact, the conclusion will leave you dreamy eyed.

The Irish in the story is Kathryn Irish who has a history with Daniel MacArthur but broke up two months ago. Now she is on a security risk finding job within his company. This is a smart nerdy (her words not mine) and tough woman. I like how she takes precautions but lives her life fully. Daniel is the perfect modern man seemingly. Together they are even stronger than apart. This is their story of misunderstanding, someone sabotaging their relationship and the dangerous reasons why. It can be dangerous to be wealthy!

I thought perhaps this would become Kathryn’s brothers’ story but for now it is Daniel’s siblings. I look forward to the next MacArthur story in the series.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of FALLING FOR IRISH (Novella #1 in the MacArthur Family Romance Series) by Katie Reus in exchange for an honest review. Once upon a time, Kathryn Irish and Daniel MacArthur had a brief but intense relationship. Daniel was puzzled when Kathryn abruptly ended the relationship. Kathryn broke up with Daniel when she found out he thought she was dating him for his money. When Kathryn’s job brings her back within Daniel’s life, Daniel decides he either needs Kathryn back or closure. Kathryn’s continuing feelings for Daniel draw her back into what she sees as a doomed relationship. Soon both Daniel and Kathryn come under attack. In order for them to have a future, they’ll have to survive the present.

I liked this novella. I was brief and had limitations due to the brevity. I recommend this story to fans of romance featuring wealthy businessmen, security, and mystery.

Falling for Irish is a fun introduction to the MacArthur family. I enjoyed Kathryn and Daniel's second chance romance and I'm really looking forward to Brodie's story.

I received this arc for an honest review.

This is the first book in a new series for the author about the Irish and MacArthur families. Here you have Kathryn who had been dating Daniel, but on this day, she arrives at his companies building looking for intel for a job that she has been hired to do. He normally does not appear at this building on Fridays but her luck he does this day. He spots her and begins chatting with her when he notices a ring on her left hand. Wondering how she could be engaged in just two months after they broke up, he is interrupted by a commotion behind him with balloons and bubbles. She is able to get away and complete her task.
Thinking she has missed him altogether she runs into him again upon leaving. After these two meetings, he is now more than ever wondering why she broke up with him though he does have a clue by something she will tell him later. He will then meet her not by chance but planed at her favorite coffee place to try and set the record straight. It is after this and a few other things that she wants to believe him and give him a second chance but another part of her does not want to. He continues to try to correct the wrong though he knows it was not him.
This turns out to be a very good second chance love story, and one that does have some suspense in it but it goes with the storyline and makes sense when you get to the end, which actually all works out. A book that is a very quick read which I read in a few hours in the afternoon, so overall a very good book with good characters.

A fun, cute novella with a nerdy heroine and a rich, overprotective hero.

This starts out with them broken up over a misunderstanding. When they see each other again, Daniel realizes he just can't get over her and he's determined to win her back.

The things I loved about this was first and foremost, the protective and possessive hero, a guy chases girl theme, and the nerdy, hacker heroine who made the hero work for it.

A quick second chances romance that left me with a smile.

This novella begins with a hacking. Kathryn Irish has been hired to find the weak spots in a company’s computer security, and she’s very good at what she does. She goes into the building undercover, and runs into the her ex.

Daniel takes one look at her and he wants her back. He has no idea why she broke up with him two months ago, but he’s known since he met her that she’s it for him. And here she is right in front of him and he plans on fighting for her. In fact I think this book should be called Fighting for Irish because he’s 100% on board with fighting for her.

She’s really unsure though, after all, the reason she broke up with him is that she saw a file he had on her and the post it note on top said (in his handwriting) Gold Digger underlined three times. He finally gets her to tell him why she left him and he’s floored. That was not his file and he did not write that note. Meanwhile, she’s been mugged, attacked, and now her ex is back in her life. What can she believe?

She gives him another chance, and the two of them are so good together. This is a cute and sexy Romantic Suspense. I don’t typically put cute and Romantic Suspense together, but it works here. Katie Reus’ stories are always sexy and well-written and this one adds in cute and fun. I really enjoyed this story and I can’t wait for the next in the series.

A energetic quick read with all the romance and suspense you expect from a Kate Reus book.
A fab start to a new series which I hope will continue for a few books.

This short novella might not give us detailed background and lots of character development but it does give us a fantastic story with “all the feels”. I thought Daniel was a perfect hero. He was on a mission to get Kathryn back and he was not going to let anyone or anything get in his way. There is the slight misunderstanding. The story was so cute and sweet.

Falling for Irish by Katie Reus
Book 1 of the MacArthur Family series. Contemporary romantic suspense novella.
Kathryn Irish was afraid that she and Daniel MacArthur had different end goals in life so she walked away from their prior romantic relationship. When she runs into him as part of her security job, he makes it clear he’s missed her and wants a second chance.

I appreciated the hero so much in this book because he was clear on his intentions and his feelings. He missed her and wanted to try again. No hidden agenda that didn’t match. Plus the two openly discussed problems.
I enjoyed the siblings appearances on both sides and look forward to their upcoming stories. I love the closeness of the familiar relationships.

Enjoyable romance, a couple of sexy scenes and intriguing family hints for the next book.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.

One new series and TWO new families to fall in love with!!

Daniel still doesn't quite know what went wrong between him and Kathryn. One minute they were hot, heavy and heading for HEA and then **poof** she was gone. But a chance meeting in one of his buildings means he has a chance to find out what went wrong and fix it.

Kathryn loved, heck still loves Daniel, but when she saw a note referring to her in "gold digger" terms she knew it was over between them. Her business is going strength to strength but someone seems to have it in for her. Daniel steps in and they manage to reignite their romance. But will it blaze on or be snuffed out once more?

Kathryn is a white hat HACKER - she uses her skills for good. Daniel may be a rich guy but he's also a NICE guy. The baddie kinda became clear as soon as I met them for the first time but that didn't sap any enjoyment from the novella for me. There are plenty of relatives on both sides to keep the series going for a while so I'm a very happy camper all round!

Kathryn and Daniel broke up months ago. Kathryn, a security expert, was hired to check one of Daniels buildings, not expecting to run into him while there. Daniel was blindsided by the breakup and sees the run in as another chance. The problem is something keeps getting in the way.
Opinion
This is the start of a new intriguing series. Told in two points of view, the reader has insight to both MCs. From the omnipotent reader view, these two are a match made in heaven. This story was a super sweet short story to read. The bar has been set for the rest of the books in this series.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Quick Second Chance

Falling for Irish is the first book in the MacArthur Family series. It's a nice introduction and a pretty quick read. Great for an afternoon read to fill a couple hours. This story focuses on Daniel and Kathryn as they reunite and get a second chance at love. Instead of being just a straight second chance we also have some suspense as someone is out to hurt Kathryn and it's up to Daniel to protect her. He will do anything to ensure she's kept safe and stays with him this time. I love the characters and can't wait to see where some of our side characters end up with their stories I am sure will come.

I received a copy of this story from NetGalley and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

A quick read by Katie Reus, a contemporary romance on second chances and how assumption is the mother of all screw ups. I've been an ardent reader of Ms Katie Reus books and I absolutely loved her Darkness series. I have to say that his novella is just a meh for me, I just find that the premise of the breakup between Daniel and Kathryn could have been resolved much earlier had they just communicate with each other. Still I enjoyed the book, it was still a pleasant read for me.

Thanks NetGalley for the copy, the views above are of my own

This one is a great introduction to a new series.
It’s a romance story with a side of suspense - my favorite kind of story!

Daniel and Kathryn used to date until a misunderstanding breaks them up. Two months where they both missed each other. two months where she dated and attempted to move on.
Then one day, he sees her in one of his buildings with a giant engagement ring on. WTH?!? He’s blindsided. They’ve only been apart a short amount of time.
Poor Daniel.
He still doesn’t even understand why they broke up.
He loves her and wants her back.
