Requiem for the Dead – A General’s need for revenge sets in motion the possibility of WWIII.
Army CID Investigator Jacqueline “Belle” Sinclair is assigned a case of the abduction of another General’s daughter. While gathering information she learns of another kidnapping and then another – all the while she feels that someone is not only watching her every move but seems to know her every move. Great characters with the action building up to a heart-stopping ending. Looking forward to book two of this series! #RequiemfortheDead #NetGalley

This was a well written thriller. The characters were well developed and likeable. I wasn't able to put this one down and am looking to download the next one. Belle is a keeper, and kick ass heroine. With her father and Agent Price I can't wait to read the next one.

After 48 years connected to the military in one fashion or another, it was immediately apparently to me this author has lived the bones of his story. The use on military "language" will seem extreme to some, to me it was everyday communications. Victor Alvarez has done an excellent job of building a back story that could happen and populating it with believable characters. The action and consequences all add up to a thrilling read to anyone who has been connected to the military.
Investigating the abduction of several military dependents leads SA Jacqueline Sinclair and DIA Tom Price will find these crimes are being used to pressure high rank officials into launching a first attack against an enemy of the US. The reckoning behind the launch maybe personal, but the crime quickly becomes global with the theft of nuclear devices. The consequences keep adding up to make this a thrill a minute read.
I was not sure what I'd find when I started reading this book. What I did find was a relatable, authentic thriller set in a military life I sometimes miss.

Great action story featuring a female protagonist, Army investigator Jacqueline “Belle” Sinclair, who leaves all other action heroes in the dust. When several children of army general officers are kidnapped, the story starts, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Soon a nefarious plot is uncovered, headed by a vengeance-seeking former general and his band of elite misfits. As more bodies fall, Superhero Sinclair, along with her able-bodied sidekick from the DIA fight battle after battle to thwart the evil plan.
