I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. Cute fast easy read. I guess this would be a short story. I think the story has potential. It seems cheesy in some parts but all in all I enjoyed it.

We have people from the old-time west stuck in the ideas of what someone should be, rather than what they actually are. The man wants the cliche of a woman in the kitchen and serving him. She has learned the hard way how to fend for herself and her nephew so she is capable of so much more.
Mail Order Martina by Kathleen Lawless is a novella featuring Martina (Marty) who finds herself and her baby brother homeless after her father dies and her aunt and uncle make it clear they are no longer welcome. She had been writing to a man in the west and he sent her money for a train ticket to join him and become his wife. Fearing he is up to no good, she visits the local preacher before she arrives at his ranch. The preacher arrives shortly after she does and marries them on the spot. Will is not thrilled but figures it won't impact his daily life much.
There is a grand cast of characters: ex-cons, including Will, an ex-prostitute (the wife of one of the ex-cons), an evil next-door neighbor, and an adorable two-year-old. IT is short but sweet with a happily-ever-after. The neighbor has caused a lot of trouble in the past, and is suspected of having caused a lot more, but that is unprovable. Marty is not one to be treated in a slipshod manner and protects her own including Will and their ranch. It was an enjoyable, if quick read.
I was invited to read a free ARC of Mail Order Martina by Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. #netgalley #mailordermartina
. This is a well written book that has drama, action and romance. Martina and Will's story will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. This is a new-to-me author and I look forward to reading more of her books. Thank you Author Collective 20--Telegraph Bay Publishing via Net Galley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
