What a great book - the concept is brilliant and without giving away too much, I was hooked from the first chapter when a woman finds herself in an empty room chained to a radiator. We are then taken backward to descriptions of Leigh’s life and family, which is then interspersed with descriptions of the very glamorous and well off Kai and her life. These stories meld together as the book unfolds but keeps you on your toes wondering how it’s all going to end. I always enjoy Adele Parks’ books and this one is no exception. Can’t wait for the next one.

For me totally so unlike her other books. Thoroughly gripping thriller that kept me turning the pages.

This book had me hooked from the first few pages. I was drawn into the storyline, unable to put it down, wanting to know why, who, what.. I loved the way the author revealed snippets of information throughout the storyline and how everything came together and started to become clearer.

I didn’t expect it to end like it did and I was left wanting to know what happened next.

If you pick up an Adele Parks book you know you are in for an interesting read.
This one is a very clever plot & all the brilliant twists throughout are quite thought provoking.
The characters you either like or dislike depending on who you think deserves what they get.
Some say the plot is not believable but it does happen to some degree and the author develops the mystery element of the story superbly.
I was a little lost with the story of the second character at beginning but then it started to make sense.
There are lots of misdirections throughout & I thought I new who was responsible but found I really didn’t.
Finished a little abruptly for me & would have liked to see an epilogue at least.
Overall I enjoyed this clever twisty mystery novel.

I like Adele Parks as an author her books are always good reads. This one follows the fate of Leigh and Kai after they are reported missing. It definitely had pace and the thrill factor, mounting tension throughout. I did narrow the who down to a couple of people. The characterisation was good and the event line factored in some Pandemic narrative which really marks the time and place.

I think the Differing POVs and the shortish chapter kept it's tenor as a thriller.

My main issue was there seemed to be a couple of instances when a character "learnt" something new but how they did this was not clear. I had to go back and read a couple of chapters to make sure I hadn't just missed the reveal. I think I also wanted a bit more from the ending.

Having read several other novels by Adele Parks, I feel this latest lacked that certain Je Ne Sais Quoi quality that has been so successful in the past. Breaking into constituent parts, perhaps the plot was somewhat implausible or characters one dimensional. An interesting premise related to a missing person, secrets in a marriage and a scenario involving diverse characters, the plot was brought to an abrupt conclusion leaving a feeling of a hurried ending that did not do justice to the storyline. Many thanks to author, publisher and NetGalley for ARC.

Loved this book!
Hard to say much without giving away the plot.
Keeps you guessing up until the last few chapters and then you feel like screaming at the characters. It's like a pantomime 'they're behind you' feeling.

My only negative comment is that the book ended a bit abruptly, I would have liked to know more about how things went afterwards. But if my only negative comment is that I wanted to read more then it can't be bad!

An unusual twist or two in this thriller!

Adele Parks is a great writer and ‘Both Of You’ is a riveting read throughout. We learn of the circumstances of Leigh Fletcher who is happily married to Mark, with his two sons from a previous marriage.

The other couple in this complex tale is Kai and Daan Janssen. Their situation is different again as Daan is an extremely wealthy Dutch businessman, used to all the finest trappings in life that wealth can offer.

Sadly, we are all used to hearing in the media about people who go missing, and ironically both ladies have vanished at much the same time. The two husbands are naturally shocked and distraught.

DC Clements leads the investigations, and her innate feelings suggest that maybe there is a link between the two cases? Yet the two missing ladies are from completely different backgrounds and environments.

Throughout the plot, there is the usual mixture of characters, some who I empathised with, and one or two who made me instantly dislike. Emotions galore, twists and turns, some very steamy bits, selfishness and jealousy were abundant throughout, and a great twist before the finale! Enjoy!

4.5/5 - I really enjoyed this one! I guessed the perpetrator but the ending threw me for a loop! Well done Adele 😀
I loved how the story wove through different perspectives, differing views and eventual reveals.
Big thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was so pleased to receive an advance copy of this title to review, as I’ve read this author’s work before and rate it highly. Sadly this particular story is a disappointment, and not up to Parks usual high standard, for me at least.
I didn’t relate to most of the characters who are dislikable. The story is mostly plot driven. After a strong start the narrative flags, and I found myself skim reading to get to the end. Not one of Parks’ best.
My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my advance copy of this book.

This is a gripping, easy to read thriller with the mystery deepening intriguingly as the storyline progresses. The family dynamics within the Fletcher household are well conveyed in particular the teenage angst of Oli. The characterisation is good though they aren’t all likeable by any means. There are parts of the plot where there is tension, there’s a feeling of terror and powerless confusion. There’s plenty of emotion flying around from loss to anger and jealousy and coldness. There are a few hot and steamy episodes too!! I like some of the twists, you do see some of them coming but others you certainly don’t and there are some very convincing red herrings chucked in for good measure!! Through DC Clements there are thought provoking issues raised such as the startling and shocking statistics for missing people in the UK, there’s the inclusion of domestic violence and a sexism slant via Clements boss. I like the ending and the fact that it isn’t all neatly tied up in a bow, it’s much more realistic and true to life.

I'm not saying anything for fear of spoilers!
It really sucked me in, I was desperate to know what happened and had to force myself to go to bed.
I've read some Adele Parks before so I know she can write well. This was quite surprising on a few occasions but I did partly guess the end.

Both of You is full of unexpected twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages to the very end. The characters are all very real and also flawed and this is part of what keeps the intrigue running.

Slightly dissapointed in the ending, it didn't feel like the story was finished - but maybe its not and this was deliberate!!

Any fan of intrigue and suspense will enjoy Both of You.

I was given a copy of Both of You by NetGalley and the publishers in return for an unbiased review.

Both of You tells the story of Leigh and Kai, two women who disappear on the same day. DC Clements believes their disappearances are somehow linked but is he about to discover there's more to them that meets the eye?

When I was told I had been approved for an ARC by Adele Parks, I couldn't believe it -she's one of my favourite authors ever!! The thing with established writers is that you know what to expect which is a double edged sword.

Adele Parks has done it agan, and Both of You is so purely her.

This book was so thrilling and captivating, I kept turning the page wanting more.

The twist was shocking...!

‘Both Of You’ is the latest book by ‘Sunday Times’ bestselling author, Adele Parks.

Fletcher: happily married stepmum to two gorgeous boys goes missing on Monday. Her husband Mark says he knows nothing of her whereabouts. She simply went to work and just never came home. Their family is shattered. Kai Janssen: married to wealthy Dutch businessman, Daan, vanishes the same week. Kai left their luxurious penthouse and glamourous world without a backward glance. She seemingly evaporated into thin air. Daan is distraught. DC Clements knows that people disappear all the time – far too frequently. Most run away from things, some run towards, others are taken but find their way back. A sad few never return. These two women are from very different worlds, their disappearances are unlikely to be connected. And yet, at a gut level, the DC believes they might be.How could these women walk away from their families, husbands and homes willingly? Clements is determined to unearth the truth, no matter how shocking and devastating it may be.

Adele is back with another dark thriller about secret lives and deceit.

The story is written through the narrative of Leigh Fletcher and Kai Janssen leading up to the moment and after their disappearances. They are two married women with seemingly normal lives but both women have disappeared without a trace and DC Clements is convinced both disappearances are connected. Leigh is stepmother to two boys and is happy in her life whilst Kai enjoys the more sophisticated life with her marriage to her younger Danish husband. DC Clements suspects both husbands may be involved in the disappearances but as she delves into the women’s lives, she discovers more than she expected.

The thing I love about Adele’s writing is her observation and insight into relationships, whether that’s friendship or marriage. She writes these complications with wit and suspense that really grab the readers attention.

The characters are the polar opposites of each other Leigh is a settled down step mum to 2 boys whilst Kai enjoys the finer things in life with luxury and style.

The difficult thing about reviewing Adele’s books, it’s easy to give something away. She sets the story particularly and as soon as you get used to a situation, she throws a curveball and suddenly everything is up in the air leaving the reader engrossed, unsettled and determined to get to that final page as soon as possible.

With the news of Adele’s previous book called ‘Just My Luck’ being adapted for screen, I would love for the same to be applied with ‘Both Of You’. With strong characters and a plot line twist that will literally blow your mind, Adele is back with another suspenseful rollercoaster of a story that hook will you from the first page.

You can buy ‘Both Of You’ from Amazon and will be available to buy from good bookshops from 27th May.
