I adored this book, loved Elliott's antics so much, I liked that the illustrations are very simple butthey seem to bring so much more to the story because of it. I loved how inclusive this book feels, normalising ‘real’ families the book makes sure the "step" part is not a focus, but just family. I also thought the tips section at the end that how to deal with children when they are too excited was really useful, adorable read.

A beautiful heartwarming book about Elliott who is excited to see his half sister Lucy. The story made my heart swell and put a smile on my face, and burned with true emotion throughout. A reminder of the innocence and delight of pure joy in our hearts.
A simple story about a young boy eagerly awaiting the return of his beloved step-sister. It was enjoyed by my child and nice to see a story that explores other family dynamics and relationships such as step-siblings, but overall I felt it was slightly lacking in substance.
I received an ARC copy of Together Again courtesy of #netgalley, the authors and the publishers in exchange for an honest review.
This book pitches itself as a book about joy. It tells the story of young Elliot's excitement over his step-sister, Lucy coming to visit.
The story was sweet and relatable to blended families. It probably best suits 4-8-year-olds with its simple illustrations, limited colour pallet and average length text.
I enjoyed the book and would have liked to have seen more about the relationship rather than the build-up to the visit.
While reading Together Again, I realised that I miss my sister a lot! And this book helped me. I thought how wonderful it would be when we've reunited again. I'm sure it'll help many children as well. I love the illustrations and especially the colour palette. Lovely book.
I absolutely loved this book about a little boy called Elliot who literally can not wait for his stepsister to come and visit .
Was really heartwarming to read and it showed that they had a really good relationship.
The message of this book was about joy and how children may express themselves.
This is a story which describes the joy a little boy feels as he looks forward to being reunited with his stepsister. It is a lovely heartwarming story which then leads to tips for parents to help them teach children how to feel and express joy. This is a great discussion and teaching tool for parents and children alike.
Just like the title suggests, "Together Again" is a lovely story about a little boy named Elliot who is overjoyed about a visit from his stepsister Lucy. His excitement leads him to wake up too early on the day of the visit. Will he be able to stay energetic until Lucy actually reaches? Read the book to find out.
I adored the book, no two ways about it. I loved Elliott's antics, I adored his excitement at seeing his stepsister, I loved how the book doesn't make a fuss about the "step" part instead ensuring that the focus stays on being one family. It was also wonderful to see how his mother dealt with his hyperactivity and early rising with her cool ideas. I also liked the tips section at the end that show parents and guardians how to deal with children when they are too excited.
The illustrations are very simple line sketches yet magical. They bring the story to life with their cuteness.
This would be a must-read for all little readers.

My daughter and I loved this book and she understood it as she also feels the same way when her big sister comes to visit her.
