I had heard about this book and had it on my TBR because the description was curious and captivating so when this sampler was offered I knew I had to read it. From the start, you can tell this is a story steeped in magic and mystery, the kind you know is going to get under your skin and have you thinking about it for days afterwards.
The descriptions are eloquent and easily conjure up a dark, chilling, and ethereal atmosphere. The girls are immediately fascinating and the euphoria that they seem to illicit, especially Grey and Vivi, pours off the page. I like that even though they are very different personalities they have a bond that at first seems like it should be unbreakable but with Grey's disappearance suddenly seems a little tenuous.
I love the dark fairy tale vibe and I am exceptionally intrigued by the obscure man that smells like death, I am also dying to figure out what is at the heart of the questions that this introduces us to, namely what happened to the girls when they were younger and what has happened to Grey. I really cannot wait to find out.

Wow, I am extremely excited to read the rest of this book! This sampler has drawn me in, twisted me into mysterious knots and left me in a tangle desperate to find out more!
The Hollow girls are ethereal, eerie, strange and I want to know more of their story. I want to find out what on earth happened to them all those years ago. I cannot wait to find out where Grey is, what happened that fateful night, who the horned man is and I'm sure there is much more to come! I will be hunting this book out the second it is released!
I have a feeling I will inhale this book when the full story is revealed!

I was already anticipating this book before reading the sampler. In fact, it had already earned a spot as one of my most anticipated books of 2021. Between the intriguing, strange and mysterious synopsis with dark eerie vibes, and the gorgeous cover, I immediately knew that this is a book that I need in my life. My fingers tingle just at the thought of getting my hands on this one. And after reading this sampler, it’s clear that my instincts are correct, because just from this short glimpse alone, I know I am going to devour and love this book.
This book is everything I have been searching for in a book and more.
I already love the author’s writing style. The beautifully haunting and lyrical writing, and the eerie picture she paints.
THIS BOOK IS GONNA BE SO GOOD, and I can’t wait to delve into it.
Thank you to the publisher for providing this sampler, as it only made my excitement and anticipation for this book that much stronger.
I will definitely be picking this one up on release day!!

I was already anticipating House of hollow because of the intriguing premise, but this sampler makes me even more hyped! It has all the dark vibes and is told with a mysterious voice. I wasn’t able to put it down and can’t wait to hopefully read the entire book soon!

The Hollow sisters - Vivi, Grey and Iris - are as seductively glamorous as they are mysterious. They have black eyes and hair as white as milk. The Hollow sisters don't have friends - they don't need them. They move through the corridors like sharks, the other little fish parting around them, whispering behind their backs. And everyone knows who the Hollow sisters are. Because one day the three Hollow sisters simply disappeared. And when they came back, one month later, with no memory of where they had been, it was as if nothing had changed. Almost nothing, Apart from, for example, the little scar that had appeared in the hollow of their throats ... and a whispering sense that something is not quite right about them, despite (or maybe because of) the terrible passion to be with them that they can exert on anybody at will.
This book is eerie and mysterious and I was both curious and confused but I think that is the point of the story. Straight away all three sisters are very different and memorable characters and of course, the book sampler ended at just a place where the story was starting to take off and I really wanted to continue reading.
This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

I knew this book would be exactly to my tastes: from the gorgeous cover to the strange, mysterious blurb. This sampler was eerie and powerful, with an impactful discourse. The writing is captivating, enchantingly vivid and had a hauntingly beautiful flow to it.
This portion of the plot was well paced and absorbing. The mystery of what happened to them when they were younger, to what happened to Grey and to the strange horned man was chilling and invested me in the story. I’m excited to find out what happened and how it will all unfold.
Iris, Vivi and Grey are intriguing and memorable characters; they’re distinctive and yet unified, and the little quirks they knew about each other made their bonds feel that much deeper. I can’t wait to find out more about them. I loved the sisterly bonds, and how even after time away from each other, they could slip into each other’s lives as if they hadn’t been apart.
I need more! I’m gripped and highly anticipating the release of this book so I can devour the rest of this deliciously dark book. Thanks to Netgalley and Hot Key Books for the sampler.

Wow, this sampler was incredible!
The writing was absolutely beautiful; it truly ignites all of the senses and paints such a clear picture.
The characters are delightful and I'm excited to learn more about them. The diversity in terms of LGBTQ was good too.
I am definitely hooked by the plot and think it's moving at an excellent pace while also developing the world well.

Wow this is utterly absorbing!
I requested this because of the story line and the cover, I wasn't expecting to be as drawn into it as I was, I need to know what happened to these sisters now! The writing is so vivid and descriptive I completely got lost in the moment.
Will definitely be picking up a copy of this when it comes out.

I really enjoyed this sampler. After hearing about this book for a while I was excited to get my hands on it. I was intrigued by the premise and will definitely read the rest when it is released. It felt a little exposition heavy at the beginning but I soon got into the style of writing. The characters are intriguing especially the characterisation of the sisters, and their descriptions.
I understand this may be an uncorrected proof however I think there may have been a software malfunction because right from the very first page there were a lot of words that had missing letters or words completely missing so the sentences didn’t make much sense. I’m sure this will be fixed before the kindle version goes on sale. The only other thing I feel inclined to mention is the section in chapter 2 where she is talking about her sister walking in the dark alone, un afraid and saying about how if something happened to her people might say she is ‘asking for it’. Whilst I wasn’t offended by this sentence I could understand some people may be due to the current situation in the news and media at the moment. Just maybe something to think about

Completely hooks you in! This has all the makings of a 5 star and I cannot wait until my preorder arrives!!

The cover is absolutely beautiful and caught my eyes !
I've read only the first 80 pages thanks to this netgalley sampler but gosh I can't wait to read it entirely. It is eerie, captivating, fascinating, and gripping. I believe that I'll read the book in one sitting since I was so mesmerized by the first chapters. It seems to be the exact safe amount of dark I want right now.

The sign of a good book is how you read just a few pages and then you’re hooked. So I’m hooked! 3 sisters who are so different but have a supernatural allure to them - the Hollow sisters. Got to read the rest of it and find out what happened to them when they all disappeared years earlier and then returned with a scar on their throats and what’s happened to the older one who has vanished again. Darkly absorbing.

What a sampler.!
I loved the style, the characters and the story and cannot wait to read the whole book and find out more about the Hollow sisters and their witchy world ... hurry up April!

Wasn't sure what to expect from this book at all. It was quite hard to read as even though it is a proof copy, the editing was awful and it was not always obvious to work out the missing letters / words.
I managed to gain the gist of the story and what I read was brilliant,
Also the book cover is amazing too.
Thank you to Netgalley for a free sampler of this book.

I knew I would be desperate to read the whole book from page one of this sampler. The writing is magic in a way that I want to be a part of the story. It is eerie and enchanting and specific in a way I can't put my finger on, but I need to read more. In such a short amount of time I not only learnt tangible details about Iris and her sisters, her mother, their past, but I got a feeling for them as people, despite them having little to no page time themselves. I am 100% committed to getting myself a copy of House of Hollow and I can almost guarantee it will be a favourite book of 2021.

Now that's just mean stopping there!
I absolutely adored this opening - it's creepy, and realistic and the characters are engaging. The sense of place is created so strongly, the pacing is good and the story promises to only get more fascinating.
Also, with the recent tragic events, this is proof that the world needs to change - Iris is a teen and is already explaining what the world has taught her about violence against women and how victims are blamed. Strong writing around this topic in there pages.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the sample...but now I just want to read the rest and I can't!

Oh my god.
This is delicious.
7 chapters is apparently all it takes for me to become obsessed with the Hollow sisters. Each with their own striking personality, I just have to know what has happened to Grey.
The writing style and descriptions are just utterly gorgeous and I wanted nothing more than to squeeze myself through the pages and watch the book play through my eyes.
A great snippet into what I’m sure will be a harrowing 5 star marvel.

Color me VERY VERY INTRIGUED! This was only a small sampler but there's already so much to love here. The writing style is amazing (even though in this version there are a looot of typing mistakes and the "f" and "fr" letters are somehow missing in a lot of words, but they will be fixed in the finished product I'm sure), the vibes are very modern gothic, eerie and mysterious.
The characters are promising so far, with all three sisters having very distinct and different personalities and sexualities. Iris does seem a little "typical" as far as protagonists go, but that might change during the rest of the story that I didn't get to read just yet.
The underlying mystery of what happened to the sisters years ago combined with the new mystery of what is happening with the oldest sister Grey right now is intriguing and exciting. I will definitely get this book as soon as it is out.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a BOOK SAMPLER of this title in exchange for an honest review.
I want to be very clear that I have only read a sampler of this book and therefore cannot give a rating or proper review just yet. I have read a book from Krystal Sutherland before and after seeing the cover and synopsis I was very intrigued. However, I wasn't completely sold on whether this book would be for me or not. So when I saw that you could request to read a book sampler, this was the best way for me to work out whether it would be a book I would enjoy and want to pick up when the book is released.
From the short section of the book I was able to read, the story follows three Hollow sisters; Iris, Grey and Vivi. Something happened to them years ago and they have no memory of the event. Strange things happen around the Hollow sisters and when Grey goes missing, Iris and Vivi try to find her.
This book is eerie and mysterious and I was both curious and confused but I think that is the point of the story. Straight away all three sisters are very different and memorable characters and of course the book sampler ended at just a place where the story was starting to take off and I really wanted to continue reading.
So, I think I have my answer. When this book comes out, I will be picking it up to find out what happens next.

The cover of House of Hollow is gorgeous and I really enjoyed this fascinating sampler. As I read, it intrigued me more and more. What are these girls, what happened to them all those years ago, why does Iris seem so different from her two older sisters?
Plenty of weirdness has surrounded the Hollow sisters since an event many years ago. But lately Iris feels like she's almost got some normality, until her sisters are back in town. Now a strange man with antlers keeps appearing around Iris, and then Grey doesn't show up to meet them...
I can tell this is going to be one of those un-putdownable books and I cannot wait to read the rest!
